Thanks Adrian for another informative video. I believe that Princess will be introducing a new app to replace the "Medallion Class App" early next year as well.
After being fortunate enough to have done many of our local SE Pacific island, NZ and 2 PNG I'm keen for options from other countries that end/start in Aus. Princess is my choice of line with RC a close 2nd despite the USD thing. I'm in bed by 11 so the late night partying is a thing of the past. Medallion is the best with my pre-ordered nightcap meeting me at the door of the cabin.
Oh wow a cruise departing from Hobart ❤ we could get the bus down there to board. ❤ Wont be that cruise though as we have a 9 night pacific Islands cruise booked for April 2025. So would need a year between cruises to book something that big. And 2026 were planning to move back to Melbourne :)
We plan to book the Sydney to Adelaide return on Discovery Princess in February 2026. It seems so long away but we have wanted to do that cruise but were put off by the fact that the 2023 and 2024 ones were going at Christmas time. The end of February is perfect for us as the children are back at school. Excited to board the Discovery Princess.
The World cruise has changed. The itinerary has changed not in the app. We are booked a month age and the first half has changed. Very sad I was looking forward to that itinerary.thanks Sue and Ken
Thanks for the update. I couldn't wait anymore and just booked our 2025 cruise to the South Pacific with P&O. I will have a look and see what Princess has to offer in any event as they're my prefereed cruise line. But from what I can gather they dont seem to have a lot of SP itineraries, at least not in the 5 to 7 night category.
Thanks Adrian. Have you booked your seat on the 2026 World Cruise? I’d certainly love to! I think I’ll check out cruises offered on Discovery since it’s a newer ship.
Yes there’s a sale starting on 22/11 - in it’s broadest terms it covers a free upgrade from interior->oceanview->balcony->mini suite plus reduced fare 3/4 guests.
They’re not on sale until the end of the month. November 29th for Elite and 30th for the general public so I wouldn’t expect to see them online much before then.
I haven’t yet! It’s on my list though. It’s a little off the beaten path, and I’ve heard some mixed reviews about the ports themselves. The ports can be a challenge for cruise lines (and guests) as they’re not as developed as typical South Pacific ports so it’s a different experience altogether. I think it could be fun, but I’d suggest a bit of a “go with the flow” attitude for a PNG itinerary.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy sounds like the way to go . After a bit of research, feedback by other people etc , I ended up booking it today ! Will be my first long solo cruise ! I’ve booked a 2 night one on Diamond Princess for September this year . Just to dip my toe into the world of solo cruising lol
Princess isn't the great value they used to be. they've gotten carried away with themselves moving into the Celebrity cruises level. Most of their cruises are now unaffordable to the casual & family cruisers. Would they do better to base a smaller ship like Coral Princess in Sydney and offer 10-16 day cruise itineraries like they were so popular for?

Oh I'll keep an eye out for that! Thanks for the heads up.

Yep. It's too... you should see the cost of the one departing next November. It's enough to make you fly to Sydney!

Very disappointing for you - I hope you still enjoy the cruise.

There’s a couple from Brisbane to the South Pacific that are around 8 nights, from memory.
Interesting itineraries
There are some good ones - I like the PNG in particular 🤔

Haha not yet! I would love to one day. Discovery is definitely on the booking list though.
Adrian, are you aware of any better Princess deals coming out as we head towards Black Friday?
Yes there’s a sale starting on 22/11 - in it’s broadest terms it covers a free upgrade from interior->oceanview->balcony->mini suite plus reduced fare 3/4 guests.
Great, thank you.
Hi Adrian. Early this morning I saw the Black Friday sale banner up on the Princess site, but now it’s gone. Do you know what happened to it???
I think it’s still there, this is the direct link to their sale page www.princess.com/en-au/cruise-deals-promotions
I can only find cruises to Sep 2025 on the Princess website. Any idea when this will be updated?
They’re not on sale until the end of the month. November 29th for Elite and 30th for the general public so I wouldn’t expect to see them online much before then.
Have you ever done a cruise to PNG? I’m thinking about doing the Grand Princess one in March 2026
