The second video from this cruise, all about cruising on an American ship designed for China is live now!! th-cam.com/video/-spOUZSQLpM/w-d-xo.html 😀🥰😘
Emma, your videos are always so wonderfully put together. Speaking for myself, I think this one might be your masterpiece, at least so far. Even at 25 minutes I was never bored, and honestly, it flew by, and I could have easily watched 25 more minutes. I could see these videos being very much like watching a reel of somebody's holiday snaps and how dull that would be, but your narration gives everything so much life. Brilliant, as always.
this comment made me laugh bc i had to pause and go read the comments when she placed that random glue video as filler and it cracked me tf up lmfao (all her other filler shots were perfectly chosen but lksdfjowieruoiweru)
It's wonderful to listen to a nice young lady you can tell is inside a genuinely happy person. Super neat to see what they did with the old Kai Tak airport runway! That's cool!
Loved this! Exciting to see as I’m doing a similar itinerary in reverse next month. May have to try a hop on hop off bus in HK as per your suggestion :)
Great video here Emma! As a Singaporean, I hope that you enjoyed your time in Singapore before starting the cruise at Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Hopefully you did get a chance to visit the HSBC Rain Vortex waterfall at Jewel Changi Airport this time or if not, hopefully next time. I do agree that the humidity is something that many visitors and even locals like us often can't bear with. Thank you for sharing with us your cruise experience in this video here!
Because of Emma, I went on my very first cruise this year. I didn't really like it that much and I don't know if I ever wanna do it again, but I'm staying for the very entertaining videos :)
I absolutely loved Singapore too! Such a lovely clean, safe place. The heat didn’t even bother me (being from Brisbane). Thanks so much for your fantastic videos! 💞
We did a similar itinerary in 2020 just prior to COVID. Singapore to Yokohama on Diamond Princess. One of our favourite trips that we've done. I grew up in Malaysia (and live in Sydney now) so it's always nice to get back to Singapore for a visit. We loved Japan. As you say, it's so easy to get around and everyone is happy to help you out even if you don't speak the language.
While I was working at Google headquarters, (Mountain View, Calif.), a few years ago, I was really pleased to find that all their restrooms were outfitted with the best Japanese toilets. Turned out to be the ONLY thing I missed about not working there any longer.
I’ve never been on a cruise and I honestly don’t know if I ever will but I adore your videos and love whenever I see a new one pop up! They’re always so interesting, and you’re so calming to listen to! Can’t wait to see what’s next 🧡
Since you take so many cruises, I'm surprised by your timidity as a tourist. Japan is an excellent place for beginning tourists - super safe, clean and easy to get around.
Emma the way you tell stories is so Captivating! I always check to see if you’ve posted something new because you always make me smile. I love the way you told the story about the nail glue, truely felt like something out of a sitcom lol!
LOL there is always the couple that think they can do what ever they like and the bus will wait. Having been a coach driver for a number or years, this behaviour is absolutely normal for some people, that is untill they meet me. lol departure time is departure time.
Great video. And timely. We are booked on a Bangkok - Singapore - Vietnam - Hong Kong cruise in February. Can’t wait. And this video is getting us even more excited.
That drone show BLEW MY MIND. Have you ever seen anything like it?! 😅😃 There are so many incredible places to visit by ship, here's a few of my favourites: - Cruising into the Arctic Circle: th-cam.com/video/bH7WapVQ8po/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t0q0PXYjfxDIr-m6 - I visited 27 of Britains best sites: th-cam.com/video/tvAZK5KePQ8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7mUTykxIuY94qmRW - Cruising across Germany, cycling everyday: th-cam.com/video/jPDUwRzpFXU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GVATSTj1OCJEas0h

Thank you for these videos, you give me so many great ideas of how to travel with ease. I was scared of the language barrier but this really puts my mind at ease. Safe travels as you continue on!
Portable water fans are usually available in home bargains around the sunmer, cheap and definitely worth it 😊 Looking forward to the next video, stay safe xx
This video was so much more than a cruise video. The sights and vistas were beautiful. The way you described everything made me feel like you had a great time and dare I say you may have inspired me to try something like this. Thank you Emma 😊
I used to go to Japan for work, I would fly into Tokyo and take the Shinkansen (Bullet train) to the city where I worked. On the weekends, I would also take it back down to Tokyo to explore. One Shinkansen trip, there had been an accident on the tracks and we were 6+ hours late. The JR Train staff were so mortified, we got free round trips to come back to Tokyo. Other than that one train, I've never been late.
I’m sure many people have said this already but so many options for portable water mist fans! SO MANY! I can’t believe you didn’t see them all over Japan!!! They are heaven in a Florida summer!!! Definitely recommend!! This video has me considering a cruise to tour Asian countries! 🤩
21:22 SEGO, it’s a play on words. Saigo Takamori was a legendary Samurai from Kagoshima. He had a blocky head so he kinda looks like a LEGO character 😅
Emma, this was great! The time flew by watching it. I always wondered what it would be like to do a cruise through Asia...and now I know. You hit so many high points and gave people ideas for when they travel to those places. Cheers!
I just watched this with my daughter as we were on the same cruise. Surprised to notice we must have actually sat next to you at the Vietnamese craft music show and appear in the footage on occasion! Agreed the drone show was amazing. Thanks for the holiday video :)
I went to Singapore as well as Hong Kong once in the early 1990s. I visited via a ship, only my ship was painted grey and did not have very nice amenities. ;)
EmmaCruises: You're so good at informing your audience in such an engaging way. Thank you for taking the time to film all parts of your travels for viewers to see. Very nice. Thank you.
I cruised out of Singapore on Sapphire Princess in January 2020, just before the pandemic. It was a Southeast Asia itinerary taking in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. I enjoyed all the places I visited but Singapore was something special. I was lucky to have two nights in Singapore pre-cruise. This was a bucket list adventure for me too! Your video inspires me to go back.
I miss Japan so so so much! We found that after 2-3 drinks, the japanese our age that spoke english fairly well, would make contact with us in a heartbeat. My beautiful travel companion probably helped that. But we where invited to join small groups of friends to bar crawls and their favorite food spots several times, and it was a blast every time. All of us had a million things to talk about, both cultural differences, politics, school system and professional life, crazy stories, and what not. Not the young people in business attire that looks like robots, per say, but the "normal" people. Tokyo ❤
I was in Hong Kong in 1991 with the U.S. Marine Corps as part of a Navy/Marine Corps good will visit. Hong Kong was still under British control and our ship was moored at what was then HMS Tamar. I took the tram that she mentioned up what was called at the time Victoria's peak. Would love to visit Hong Kong now. Also visited the Kangaroo Pub, an Australian expat bar that's also likely gone. Good times!
I was in Japan a few months ago and was also struck by the adorable little boxy cars. Looks like a great trip. Singapore is the most humid/tropical place I have ever been. And I spent 4 years at uni in Florida.
2 days late but I just want to say this: Custard creams really *are* the best. Tried them for the first time a week ago during my cruise stop in Southampton and I can only say... thank god I live near an international goods shop to be able to feed my new addition to Custard Creams and Galaxy Swirl. Thanks, Captain Emma - you are yet to steer us wrong!
I went on this ship back in 2020 right before covid! It was on a fire-fighters appreciation cruise for Aussie fire-fighters helping combat the terrible fires.
Wonderful format, Emma. I love how you script your thoughts as a voice-over, rather than trying to narrate things as you experience them, as some creators do. You don't ask for anything in your videos, and don't waste a single second of video. Your numbers support this approach, and I'm glad this means you'll be supported to continue doing this. Two other thoughts: 1. I'd want to spend at least 2 more weeks visiting Japan after this! Love the vending machine culture. Some places even have ones for canned local seafood you can't find anywhere else. I think this wouldn't work in many places because the population isn't dense enough to support the foot traffic. 2. It's interesting to compare Singapore with mainland China. Singaporean culture is essentially Chinese, without experiencing Mao's "cultural revolution". Yet they couldn't be more different! Singapore is the most clean and orderly culture in the world, while CCP China is the opposite. If anyone doesn't believe me, just watch "The China Show" here on TH-cam. I watch every new episode on Fridays and it's very eye-opening!
This is a wonderful example of how difficult styles of excursions are still valid. I’m going on my first cruise this year so I have been leaning towards slightly more cruise organised activities for peace of mind and easy since I have mobility issues but video like this a really useful to work out what thing it is worth organising on my own.
I love your videos! You provide a lot of very helpful information, and your adventurous spirit and good humor add a lot. I was very interested to learn about this cruise, and I truly enjoyed the journey vicariously, while knowing that I could never tolerate the heat and would be miserable if I ever venture to that part of the world. It's the Faroe Islands for me, on an Oceania cruise in 2025. Dressing in layers can provide relief from cold, windy weather, but when it's too hot, there's nothing you can do (well, without breaking decency laws.)
Miss Emma you are truly a "Reviewer Extraordinaire"!! This is the first vlog, of yours, I have watched. However, I just subscribed & plan on watching many more vlogs old & new!
Emma, I don't know how you have ask the energy to do a wonderful cruise like this. Although I would love the sights, I'm afraid the humiidity and heat would take me down. Than you for this wonderful video.
I watched your Facebook content and I looked for your channel and I’m so glad I found it. I love the longer videos! You’ve also quickly become a comfort channel for me to watch
OMG, Emma, this may be your greatest vlog yet! So much fun- what did you think of the funicular up to Victoria Peak in Hong Kong? I adore Hong Kong, it was my 2nd home I visited an ungodly amount of times when I lived in China. Dearly missed, you bought back so many fond memories! Glad you didn't have any issues with the fingers in Japan, that's a pretty funny situation to be in. Looking forward to the vlog about the ship!
Nice to see Hong Kong again, particularly what they've done to Kai Tak, an airport I flew into many, many times, over a quarter a century ago! I've only been on one cruise to Norway and I really liked it, despite onboard entertainment not being my kind of thing. I do like your channel though, Emma. Sort of cruising vicariously around the world through you. I hope that doesn't sound weired. Thanks for sharing. From the UK.
This is one cruise I will probably never go on as we don’t like visiting really busy places . So Hong Kong is definitely out . There are some beautiful areas to see and you made it look so exciting but it’s just not for us . That’s what I like about your channel , you have shown us so many different places to visit , with such diverse culture’s 😊❤
I am an American who loves to (also) watch UK/British families who come to Disney/Universal parks. Y'all come and stay for a week or 2, and where do you often love to go Target, Walmart, big chain restaurants (Cheesecake Factory and others particularly at Disney Springs. It is so interesting that 'wandering' through a Target looking for weird food items not sold in the UK is fun! But I do love it! It is often funny to watch and always entertaining! I have loved hearing about your "bucket list" cruise in Asia!
Your videos are the best cruise videos! We were in Singapore in December with HAL, it was great revisiting that trip through your excellent commentary. We have experienced people getting on the wrong bus (so many look the same). The guides will inform the other guides to be on the lookout for missing cruisers.
I'm shocked you didn't find more English speakers! When I was there (Tokyo and Hakone) and almost anyone under 30 or working in hospitality seemed to know enough English we could communicate basics. I was there a decade ago though so maune things have changed! I took note cards with common phrases because my phone didn't have Google translate 😂
Another great video, Emma, thank you. I would also find the heat and humidity difficult. It is nice to see what can be seen in each port. Keep Cruising!!
As avid cruisers, my wife and I love your videos. Yes, Tokyo is a great city to spend some days in. We too thought the people in Japan were very accommodating of foreign travelers. We had no problem using the rail system. I remember we sailed out of Yokohama, one hour to the south by car. Our next cruise is in mid January we sail 2nd leg of Princess World Cruise; LA to Sydney.
Hi Emma I don't comment too often on many of the cruise videos I watch, yet, just have to tell you how much I enjoy your work. Thank for many hours of enjoyment. and the many great ideas you offer. sign me, another cheap cruiser!😁
Hi Emma! I've been consuming loads of your videos and I have truly been enjoying them. They have given me loads of helpful information in preparation for my first cruise (whenever that may be) I love your sense of humor and love of donuts ❤🍩 however, your love of Pepsi means I just really like you instead of really, really like you. Cheers!
Having lived in Singapore, a day is sufficient to see the entire island. I also lived in Japan. Train stations in the central part of Tokyo have shopping several floors under the ground.
Awesome video as always. I did my 1st solo cruise on Quantum of the Seas from Shanghai to Japan. It was 5 days. It was early Dec 2017 and I paid £800 for a balcony cabin and flights were only £200 extra. I thought I had a bargain. I arrived and found I was 1 of 3 westerners on board. There was another british couple but I only met them on the final day 🤦♀️. I had a great time though and the staff wanted to practice their English on me so at least I had people to talk to in the bars in the evening. But they cancelled the English speaking Japan excursion and I didn't fancy going on an excursion on my own where I didn't understand what was being said. On arrival back in Shanghai I had a 14hr wait for my flight so I went to Shanghai Disney 👍 Keep up the fab work you do Emma!
The second video from this cruise, all about cruising on an American ship designed for China is live now!! th-cam.com/video/-spOUZSQLpM/w-d-xo.html 😀🥰😘
I love this channel! I have no interest in cruising but Emma's channel is so fun to watch!
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
I agree 100%
Ha. Same here! So weird...lol
Watching your cruising videos has made me book a cruise with Royal Caribbean in March 2024. If I like, I think I will do this Asian cruise.
I find her to be lovely.

Totally agree 💯!! This was brilliantly created and narrated … a literal 10/10 … keep up the GREAT work!! 🤩
i started watching her like 7 months ago lol
I love your channel. NO drama. NO politics. It is so peaceful.
Thanks so much 🥹❤
The unsweetened Japanese tea in a bottle is one of my favourite. I drink tea without sugar.
It's barley tea! I drink it a lot too
@@Nepuski yes. I like it too.
I love your content. I love how you produce your content.
No preamble; no title card or end card. All content. I love it.
(And so informative).
Thanks so much 🥹❤️

First time viewer - Emma is very likeable and charming. Thanks for being unpretentious.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
That is the best tourist vid I've ever seen. So informative, honest, and with a sprinkling of humour. Thanks Emma.

Imagine going halfway around the world and still having to deal with people not getting back to their tour bus on time. SMH
😂😂😂
For real, so disrespectful too
Half way around the world is probably thw only place you'll be on a tour bus so I wouldn't be surprised.
The Human Condition is terminal 😂
I’ll bet they’re probably SGreans, coming from a SGrean 😅
Since you take so many cruises, I'm surprised by your timidity as a tourist. Japan is an excellent place for beginning tourists - super safe, clean and easy to get around.
Emma the way you tell stories is so Captivating! I always check to see if you’ve posted something new because you always make me smile. I love the way you told the story about the nail glue, truely felt like something out of a sitcom lol!
It amazes me how people manage to miss buses, even when the time has been clearly given to them! Thank you for the video! The scenery looks amazing!
Me too! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Yay!!! I’m jealous it’s the best. Have the best time ever!!!! 😀❤️

Wonderful video! It won't be the same as seeing it in person, but do a search for 'chinese dragon drone show.' Simply amazing.
I recommend them these are all great videos !
Hopefully, my friends will be Cruising with MSC Oct next year and I can't wait.

It's almost 29 years since I last saw Hong Kong. I loved the Star Ferries; loved the Peak Tram and the views from the top; and even the squat toilet!
Wait, barely one second on The Cookie Department? I fully expected you to say which ones you bought! 😂

Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
can’t wait to watch this when i get home from work!! looks like a beautiful trip, hope you enjoyed emma!
Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved this post, so much fun. I enjoyed living vicariously through your tour!
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
Muchas gracias por tus consejos, seguro que me serán muy útiles 😊😊
This is a great accompaniment to the first video I watched about your actual experience on board.
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
Always wanted to go to Tokyo
You've gotta, it's the BEST!!
I love all those things!! Never been to a cheesecake factory I do wanna go, 😂😂
Your videos are the best cruise videos! We were in Singapore in December with HAL, it was great revisiting that trip through your excellent commentary. We have experienced people getting on the wrong bus (so many look the same). The guides will inform the other guides to be on the lookout for missing cruisers.
Thanks so much you are very kind! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
After seeing this video ,Asia and Japan are on my bucket list. Beautiful video 😊
Singapore was the best city we have been we did everything we could in the 4 days we had there, the zoo was the best ever we have seen
Hope you enjoyed Singapore! Glad you visited us! Love from Singapore
I love it, Thank you! 😁❤️
Enjoying for the third time. ❤
Now I hav added this to my bucket list . So beautiful and you too are beautiful.
Hi Emma
I don't comment too often on many of the cruise videos I watch, yet, just have to tell you how much I enjoy your work. Thank for many hours of enjoyment. and the many great ideas you offer. sign me, another cheap cruiser!😁
Hi Emma!
I've been consuming loads of your videos and I have truly been enjoying them. They have given me loads of helpful information in preparation for my first cruise (whenever that may be)
I love your sense of humor and love of donuts ❤🍩 however, your love of Pepsi means I just really like you instead of really, really like you. Cheers!
Ive been so excited for this video
Thank you!! The next one will be more cruise specific this is the destination one 😀❤️
6:52 I definitely would be able to recognize you from the photo from your childhood. 🤗
This looks fantastic!!! I really want to put this in my bucket list! Really enjoyable video.
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
Having lived in Singapore, a day is sufficient to see the entire island. I also lived in Japan. Train stations in the central part of Tokyo have shopping several floors under the ground.
This looks incredible!!!
Ive been looking forward to this for so long!
Thanks Emma for your superb content.
Thanks Julie! More to come 😀❤️
The ad I got before this was for Pepsi lol!
Your videos are always so entertaining - and I always crave a Pepsi after hearing you talk about it!
This looks amazing. This is going on our bucket list for sure.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼

On arrival back in Shanghai I had a 14hr wait for my flight so I went to Shanghai Disney 👍
Keep up the fab work you do Emma!
Emma, do you have a video or link on your site on what you recommend for clothing for a cruise that washes well in a sink?
