    Some of our tracks in louisiana have, went to reaper tires in box stock class,new to us in the south. Some tracks, high clay content, some not so much,but could you possibly make a video on them i sure would share,and promote your channel to others on Facebook. Its been a hot topic here lol

      Unfortunately I have not run them yet. I would start by treating them like a Maxxis. But really would depend on how aggressive I could be with them.

    Hey man i need your help. recently my back tire that was thread ripped and popped on my 212cc engine go kart that i would ride on a bike trail where it would be pavement and sometimes be dirt and maybe rocks that could ruin the wheel. And now i’m stuck if i should get slicks or thread again. What do you think i should get?

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your riding off anything other then a prepped “race” track I’d suggest the treaded tire. It will provide better grip and hopefully durability.

      @@kart6t3_ben Hey another question so i just placed an order for 4 threaded tires for my go kart and i was just wondering if threaded tires should be used on pavement and does that make them wear out more faster?

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@J.C.R.F typically they are a softer compound. But they have more rubber on them then a slick would so it probably evens out. But both surfaces kinda calls for the treads so that’s a good choice

    Lol well why do late models and sprints not run slicks.just a thought

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Differences in suspension, tire prep, track conditions ect. I’d take a guess that 95% + of karts today run slicks. If treads were faster wouldn’t that not exist?

    • @dynamicdopamine
      @dynamicdopamine ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I would say you hit the nail on the head by talking about the suspension. Racing go karts do not have shocks and springs like a race car does

  • @corneliomhernandez9405

    I have slicks now, but what would you recommend on a yard kart? It's a 95 trackmagic. I mainly ride on back roads.

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Treads would be my choice for a yard kart. Burris and Hoosier are two brands you can look out for (maybe something used)
