I have been lucky enough in life to have met Jo Ann personally on two occasions. Last time was in the early 90s at a concert in Vegas. Got my picture with her. Love these posts!
@craig9843 I was born in 65, my mom knew I loved ragtime because I was trying to play it at about age 10. She bought me Jo Ann 22 Ragtime Hits... from that moment on I joke that she was my secret girlfriend. Lol.
@@craig9843 I do have some videos of me playing....I suppose I should post them. I've shared them privately with people. I knew Rod Miller who played Disneyland main Street in Anaheim. He would let me play that piano when we'd visit. That was a lot of fun.

Every Saturday night we had to watch the Lawrence Welk Show and my mother really enjoyed Jo Ann Castle as she played the piano herself.

I wasn’t born until 1970 and didn’t discover Joann until maybe 1990 or so- can’t remember exactly, but fell in love with her playing.
