They just HAVE TO do away with every old building, every green shady alley, every oak tree that we love. As a person, it's getting hard not to take this personally.

@NewsChannel 5, Again, there should be a direct link to the petition and your website in the description under this video. Neither should be more than a click away from this video. Whoever is running your YT channel is failing and should be reassigned and replaced. This is likely the 20th such comment I've left like this, and nothing changes.

Word to my old hometown: you need to get your property "developers" under control. You've lost plenty of truly beautiful properties already...especially downtown. Where's the Tennessee Theater? Rubble pile. What became of the deco masterpiece that was the Sudekum Building? Rubble pile. And so on, and so on...
Yes, I know that having gigantic piles of money is a real turn-on for certain people. But it's about damn time that the city starts asking if Nashville NEEDS another faceless slab-o-glass or crackerbox "luxury" apartment building.
Seriously. At this pace, I just wonder when they'll be levelling the Parthenon in deference to yet another Walmart. Metro Planning probably needs some people showing up with cameras and prickly questions about their lust for the sound of wrecking balls busting up another great piece of architecture. You don't want to turn out like Chicago, which now mourns the loss of the great, iconic Louis Sullivan buildings...demolished for the exact same specious reasoning.

When I used to live in West Nashville I drove by Peggy daily painting the historical church on the corner in the Richland area that's now an apartment building. She's certainly had her work cut out for her over the years. 😞
