Not good buddy. This is my biggest fear when I head to the cabin. So now it the perfect time to make a new camp, in a deferent location.

Ouch! It's terrible that someone would take it apart.
On the other hand, this is a perfect opportunity to have some fun rebuilding.

Yeah not what you want to find , thats a fear I always have when I leave my tent in the woods showing up to it gone or destroyed and I'm out potentially hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
It's disheartening for sure , but I'd say reconstruct it they left most of the materials and just see what happens hope for the best might be a one of situation. Think of it as a chance to make a few videos rebuilding, or go a liitle one way or another and have a slight change that's just my 5 cents worth lol.

Sorry to see, down here in Minnesota the forest service and dnr will take apart or burn structures on public land but it kind of depends on the situation . I would just rebuild in another location if possible and just have fun and enjoy the outdoors.

That would definitely suck. I just don't understand how some people get off being destructive. You might have to go more stealth on the next build. Move it off of obvious paths and clearings and set it back in the thicker bush so it isn't visible to anyone walking about. I'm based in Australia but I have a close friend who lives over near St John's. I spend a month on the rock and loved the wilderness and fishing there.

Rebuild it, if you don’t they win. That’s why when I find a spot I like I don’t build nothing. I make a clear out spot then bring my stuff and take it with me. I bring cot tent so I have a tent but it’s off the ground so no need to build a permanent bed or hut for someone to tear down.
They can’t tear down a cleared out spot.
You had an awesome view there. I’d still camp in that spot but don’t build there or they might comeback. Just keep a cleared out section and camp in tent or hammock.
I get you want to bush craft but that opens you up to things like this happening. If you build anything, just bush craft chairs to set in and maybe table. You can always hide them back in the woods away from camp spot so no one finds them and break them up. Good luck in the future.
