My favorite thing about your GREAT videos is your excitement. It is contagious and makes everything fun and enjoyable. I have played guitar a LONG time and do a lot of different stuff. I recently started taking lessons with a younger guy who is a music theory wiz to help me fill in the gaps of how and why I am playing what I play. Hanging out with him has brought out the fun and excitement in playing again. I feel the exact same thing when I watch your videos. It brings out the JOY of playing. Thank you!
learning this tune for me is important for a few reasons and Shane made it fun and easy. I always wanted to sing but didn’t like the sound of my own voice however for unknown reasons I can sing most of warren zevons songs. Big surprise to me how it actually sounds ok singing werewolves of London which gives me the confidence to keep on singing whatever I want. Pavarotti I am not but I can stay in tune and I have loved warren zevons music since I first heard the excitable boy album. Thanks again Shane for teaching this tune
I've recently discovered your channel and you're already my favorite teacher on TH-cam! I love how people of all skill levels can get something out of your lessons and have fun playing along. I never leave your videos feeling frustrated or discouraged, but inspired to learn more. Would love to see some more Zevon tracks from you! Cheers
Another lesson that’s chuck full of options ! Love the fact that I can revert back to simple version once my fingers get totally tangled up. Great challenge, can’t put it away. Fun stuff… , Thanks again Shane !
Crushed it, awesome lesson! This song is like a good luck charm to me, every time I randomly hear it, it always turns into a good day! Psyched to learn it! Cheers for posting
One of my favorites Shane. I got the beat buddy, but being a coffin dodger, I find the Aeros a little complicated. This, as always, is a GREAT tutorial. Thanks so much.
Ha! Thank you Kevin - it's a favourite of mine too. Glad you got the Beatbuddy - so great! The Aeros is not complicated.....it's the easiest looper I've ever used, great to have the big screen so you can see exactly where your loop is at. Cheers, Shane
Good lesson, and instruction. I liked the higher key options. I'm trying to learn some Allman Brothers up around the 9-12 frets so it's not alien to me, but it is really nice to be able to mix in some fun "campfire" tunes to reinforce my practice without getting frustrated. Thanks.
Hi Shane...AWESOME lesson...youre such a great teacher and fun to watch. You make alearning so many songs a do-able thing. Btw, can you just plug the Beat Buddy into a wall socket?
Thank you Janet - glad you enjoyed. The BeatBuddy plugs into the wall socket for power but you also need to plug it into an amp/mixer to hear it. Cheers! Shane
I'm a girl. I have girl hands. The best guitar playing advice I've received in years is to bring the thumb down to extend the pinky. Thank you for that!!
Great lesson. Stupid question, Beat Buddy looks cool but what do you plug it into? External speakers, computer, or does it have it's own speakers? Thanks.
Thanks Rob - glad you enjoyed. Not a stupid question at all, many people have asked about that. You can plug the BeatBuddy into an amp or even better into a little mixer and then out into powered speakers. That’ll give you these amazing drums in stereo. Fabulous. Cheers, Shane
Thank you Dave. Guitar is plugged straight into my mixer/recorder. A bit of compression and reverb added at mixdown. I’m wearing a lav mic to capture my voice. The guitar bleeds in as well which helps by blending with the direct signal. Cheers, Shane
You could easily make a medley of those two song and I'm sure you could find a third. Kinda like D-A-E What I Like/ Cherry Cherry/ R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. medley.
Not saying the lesson is moving a little slowly but could I offer you a triple shot Espresso!😅🤣😂😉 Actually it's a great lesson for a song I love and I think the triple shot may be a bad scene!
Funny that I had just mentioned this song (WW of London) to someone yesterday saying it was another Sweet Home Alabama which Every Day is a Winding road is also but in Eb, then you posted it today, I currently working on your It's a wild world which isn't too difficult either but a touch of grey and Smooth are a bit more challenging....
Amazing lynrd skinyrd and warren didn’t sue each other as this is the same chord progression as sweet home Alabama. Good thing they didn’t because a lot of rock music would have been affected.
By far one of the best teachers online and in person ❤
Thank you Blimey - much appreciated and hope you are well as can be! Shane
He makes you want to learn any song.
Thank you Vincent - very kind of you and happy to have you here with us. Cheers! Shane

I cant hear this song without picturing tom cruise dancing round a pool table.

Grazie Barbara - my very best to you! Shane
What mic are you using for these? Sounds great!
Thank you Dave. Guitar is plugged straight into my mixer/recorder. A bit of compression and reverb added at mixdown. I’m wearing a lav mic to capture my voice. The guitar bleeds in as well which helps by blending with the direct signal.

Lav mic plugs into iPhone. $75 Amazon.
I love Sweet home Alabama
For sure Cookie - a top ten for sure.
You could easily make a medley of those two song and I'm sure you could find a third. Kinda like D-A-E What I Like/ Cherry Cherry/ R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. medley.
I’m just sat here going ‘aahwooooo werewolves of london’
Fabulous! Shane
Cool way about you. Thanks
Please do a lesson on the song Tulsa or I met the devil in Oklahoma by Josh Maloy
A big thank you to the orange wiggle.

"Enjoy every sandwich." - Warren Zevon
Words to live by.
Ha! That's fabulous - he was such a great writer. Cheers, Shane
Fun.
Thank you Roma. Cheers, Shane
Did I hear a fragrance of Sweet Home Alabama in Werewolves of London. :)
Same 3 chords! Shane
It's also sweet home alabama...
Exactly right Jim. Cheers, Shane
Great timming since Halloween is right around the corner!!!
For sure Dannie - so great! Cheers, Shane
@@GuitarAtWork th-cam.com/video/WR4_chcwvoM/w-d-xo.html
Good comments on the looper, Shane. Only problem is that at this end it is two crappy guitar players instead of one ;)
Tim - no! Fun to hear from you, it's been too long. Hope all is well in Renfrew - best to you lad, Shane
Big wheels keep on turnin'
Carry me home to see my kin...
Sounds like Sweet Home Alabama!
Indeed it does - same chords. Cheers, Shane
How about a single guitar riff incorporated into Mrs. Robinson?👍
Great idea Ben. Thanks Shane

I just found the Bob Ross of guitar instruction. What a happy accident
Thank you Al - Bob Ross is fabulous. Cheers, Shane
🇨🇦Oh no your saying left and right hand, instead of strumming and fretting hand. Oh well still a nice lesson.🇨🇦
Sorry Glen - I try to be sensitive to southpaw players but it’s tricky. I’ll bet you’re well used to making the conversion. Best to you lad, Shane 🇨🇦🏒
@@GuitarAtWork thanks
The best in the business, thanks buddy.
Thanks for that - my best to you and hope you're having fun with it! Shane
Ahhhh OoOooOOoo....
Hell, I can’t listen this fast I’ve got a slow his whole video down to 75% speed to understand what he is saying here!😜
Thanks for reminding all of us that that is an option. Cheers, Shane
@@GuitarAtWork No thanks need here, just referring to myself.

Wonder how much coffee he drinks.
Just enough. Cheers, Shane
Sweet Home Alabama?
Same three chords.
Isn't Werewolves London basically just Sweet Home Alabama?
Same chords Neville - but....a much different riff. Cheers, Shane
I noticed the same thing as first, "Hey this sounds like Sweet Home Alabama ". The fills get added and the song came together ".
I third that.
D-C-G or any variation thereof are the basis of thousands of songs.
Too bad they let Kid Rock steal this melody.
