@@joemckim1183 West Wing ended the year before Breaking Bad started so they were never in competition against each other. He is amazing. He has supported farm workers, is openly Faithful, is known to be incredibly generous and a great story teller. At the time of the show, the WB security people wore a uniform which included a summer style blazer. One winter Mr Sheen noticed that these people all looked very uncomfortable as it was freezing outside (literally). He asked why they didn't have appropriate coats and learned that they had to wear a uniform and theirs did not include a coat. He demanded that the situation be corrected and, in the meantime arranged for the needed identical coats to be provided by WB wardrobe dept. On the set he was referred to as "the President ".❤
I think Martin had a history of forgetting names in fact I believe there is a blooper reel about that too so I dont think the cast would ever take it personally. He probably privately apologized to those he forgot. :)
he has (or cast maybe it was) talked about him being basically a UNDIAGNOSED ADD/ADHD cause--lol. He seems like a basket case but I will give him kudos for being what appears to be a loving daddy, a devoted grandpa and sticking with his marriage to Janet pending He could have just left when it got hard regarding regaining what was lost of his life when he struggled with alcoholism. I mean, YES I understand that Martin = recovered but if you were struggling with alcohol and made those kinds of choices how easy would watching a child struggle that hard with choices maybe make you want to give up your successfulness in other areas. If Martin were a "Joe Nobody" Nothing but God's grace would keep him from struggling with sobriety or even peace about attaining it. and yet people somehow I think feel he is different.
He must have been NERVOUS that night. He seems so incredibly close to Rob (or rob does to Martin Sheen that I couldn't see him ever intentionally snubbing Rob Lowe)
I really liked the movie The Conflict with Martin Sheen. I have to admit, I was disliking my neighbor, and a lady whom I am a friend to, told me to imagine my neighbor was a movie star, and so I was watching The Conflict, and my neighbor became Martin Sheen. I like my neighbor now.
I didnt mean Janey = wife I just meant I recognized from later in clip this is his wife and she seemed very subdued in reaction. :) She seemed proud but definitely was letting him have his fun with his cocastmates.
I researched and found out that Taylor was still young enough to be in h.s based on birth year so I am guessing his comment about rooting/pulling for Taylor = he was a part of a play and had call back potential for that night for a high school play
Love how over the top Martin Sheen's coworker Alison Janney's reaction is compared to his actual wife. (and as famous as Charlie and emilio and Martin are I find it funny that I can tell you 2x that I have seen Janet on tv) She is YOUNG. I thought she was 72 (almosT) like Martin is but what I realized is that she is not even that old. I read online that her birthday is sometime in Summer 1944 so she was (when her son Emilio was born) almost 18 years old! OMG! REALLY YOUNG!!
@jhein1992 That was kind of odd and I wonder what that comment about his grandson was. I am wondering if Emilio's son Taylor was like up for a audition for school or a job or something. :) Wonder though why He didn't say anything about Charlie.
course than I realize now a few months later he didn't say anything about his other kids or grandkids. still curious about the meaning behind the coment to taylor.
Martin short is Donald trump. Source: Greg Bradford you tube Duplicity fraud Sheen is also the host actor for his alias alter, actor Michael Douglas 🌝🌝🌝
Anybody who thinks he didn't deserve this award can be wrong and just stand there in their wrongness and be wrong, and get used to it.
well said lol
Toby and Sam did a good job on that speech
Yeah, but he blew the D section.
@@cryofpaine 😂😂
Rob Lowe smiled. I guess he wrote the speech.
So glad he won SOMETHING. Geez, for him to NOT win an Emmy was an insult.
Not really when you consider he had the misfortune of acting in the era of Tony Soprano and Walter White.

One of the best actor ever. He doesn't get recognized enough because he makes it look easy! I'm a BIG fan!

The thing I love most is he is still married to his first and only wife. That alone makes him a winner. I been a fan of his acting for decades
Martin Sheen was SO brilliant, and he seems like the sweetest man.
He is still with us and as brilliant as ever... 82 and kickin'.
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! When the President stands...NOBODY sits!
By God he was 50, alive and won an Emmy all at the same time
I see what you did there.
This was a beautiful thing! SO THRILLED he got what he deserved - he's STILL and always will be my President!!

Well done, sir. What an amazing show.

Martin Sheen is an amazing actor! He deserved it!
Hahaha he left out Bradley Whitford.
Not just. However, like Jed Bartlett character, Martin Sheen has a reported terrible memory for names.
left out Rob Lowe despite Lowe receiving a nomination here lol
At least the Globes did SOMETHING right. I can't believe he never won an Emmy.
He had the misfortune in acting in the same era as James Gandolfini.
Remarkable man on every level!! 👏🏻👏🏻
I just began watching 'The West Wing' and Mr. Ramón Estévez is fantastic as the president.
The illusive man FOREVER!

Rob lowe grew up 3 houses down from martin
Love this guy! He's not as smooth in talking as I expected, but I don't care, I totally love this guy anyway!!!
Godamn i just realized he is a Perfect kennedy!
Yep. The in the same club as Hugh Laurie and Angela Lansbury.
Thank you, mr. President!

He has played both Bobby and Jack on screen before. Don't remember the names google it

Wait, what? Anne, Anne, Anne. No.
Wait, what's President Bartlet doing at the Golden Globes?
So nice.

I search for Michael Sheen, and....
Now I know why Charlie is so powerful
2:11 So, that is where Charlie Sheen came from?
He forgot about Charlie
Martin truly deserved that win. I didn’t hear him mention Charlie.
Dude Hill is Charley, whom he mentioned.
It was Rob Lowe and Bradley Whitford he didn't mention.
I think they meant his son Charlie Sheen, since he also mentioned Emilio.
@@libertyann439Hiw own son Charlie.
No mention of Charlie?
thanked emilio but not charlie
brilliant comment
That awkward moment when we really did get Bartlet for 4 more years...
@aninighty and rob lowe.
But why oh why did you replace m'y words!!!!!
He even Saw Ally mcbeals colleagued for thîs speech
He forgot Charlie sheen!!!!!!!
was that intentional
Strange
Well I woud be surprised if An Illusve man wouldn't win something.
