Glad to see you have your boat back. I had a big chunk taken out of my gelcoat down to the fiberglass and had it repaired by the dealer. It was on a molded corner and I though it was never going to come out perfect. I was amazed when I got it back....looked perfect. No reason why your repair shouldn't look perfect either. I would have them fix it.

GW Boles I took it to bass pro and they ordered one from factory. Not sure the brand
My boat had fiberglass damage when I bought it. You can make it perfect, but it’s very time consuming and the guy fixing my boat wasn’t charging much. Mine has some indents you can feel but it’s on the bottom of the hull. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you
Back in business, I can tell you love your boat as much as I do mine. As far as the fishing goes, the rod twitch while trolling lets you know one of two things: either you got a weed, or you got a fish! Your right about days on the water this time of year....it's hot as hell down here in Fla. this year. More so than I can remember in years past. Maybe I'm just getting older and can't handle it as well......
All I know is. It’s hot!
Also you should look at Stoltz 8” bow rollers for skiffs.

@@WeekendPirate I have a set brand new that I will make you a deal on. Got them for my Mako but they just did not match up with the bow lip on the 2019 and later models.

Finally got my mako, took without today, had problems with he live well filling up. Any suggestions besides taking it back to the dealer?
Great Channel! Have you gone out Hillsboro inlet in 3-5 yet? Any future plans to do a run to freeport or keys with the Pro Skiff?
Thanks! I haven’t ran through any inlets in 3-5. I only go offshore when it’s flat out. There will be a lot of future keys trips and other trips with the pro skiff but no plans to run to the Bahamas in the skiff. I would only run to the Bahamas in an offshore boat.
@@WeekendPirate Good stuff. I live in Pompano and was looking for boat reviews in my area and your vid popped up in my search. I was thinking about getting a kayak or a solo-skiff for fishing but I don't see many people in the area doing it (wish I lived near some flats!). I think your vids may have convinced me to finance one of those Mako Pro Skiffs :). is your 17' big enough to mount a T-top?

Great video.. I’m picking up my new Mako on Monday. What do you use to clean your boat after a cruise. What do you use to flush your motor ?
I just use a normal car cleaning brush and soap/wax to wash my boat when I scrub it down. And I flush the engine using muffs with Fresh water and hose off the boat and trailer everytime

I have a 16 foot Carolina dlx and I have to admit I wish mine wasn’t the semi v haul, cause it is not stable as I want it sitting still.
You could throw a dance party on a Pro Skiff sitting still. First time I stepped off the dock into mine I noticed very little tipping and I'm 250 lbs.
Try cutting the bottom stop on the rod holders. I did on mine and rods stay put a lot better than they did.
Hunt Strong never had an issue with that, but good idea. I did replace all the rod screw with stainless bolts with washers it was much needed.
