Mike! I need your help. Been watching your videos these past couple of weeks. So my family left for about a week. When we can back the house was dripping with water everywhere this causing damage to the ceilings and walls. We got a restoration company to come and check what’s going on and the found that the first pipe of the ac unit stopped working and the water went into the emergency drain pan. But due to debris build up the drain pipe started to overflow and pour into the house. Our insurance is trying to deny the claim what do you think about this situation? Could I fight it or should I accept the denial?
@@theclaimsquadpublicadjusters I’m located in Texas. How do I fight the lack of maintenance statement? The direct cause was due to the sudden stoppage of flow from the main line, but the damage occurred due to the blockage from the drain pan. I don’t know what evidence to support the sudden and accidentalness of the first pipe. And I’m having trouble finding how to argue there was no lack of maintenance. You suggestions would be very helpful.
Nearly every homeowner's insurance policy includes coverage for sudden and accidental loss, which is exactly what water damage from a running faucet is considered to be. It doesn't matter whether or not it was your own fault or that of a small child playing on his or her own. Is this accurate?
If the faucet was left on accidentally they will likely not cover it . There has to be something that causes the water loss like a breakage, crack, when referencing loss from a plumbing, AC, or fire protective system. If the faucet was leaking because there was a crack somewhere then yes it will be covered. You will have to show what was repaired by a plumber. Policy will not cover your own neglect whether that was known or unknown neglect by you, a dog, friend or family member
Little off topic, got renter's insurance, but own home. Not in r name. Because Helena was a hurricane are deductible went from $500 to 5 percent of are maximum payout? Is this even legal?
If company paid to remove water damaged items do they then have to follow through on payment of rebuilding the eater damaged areas such as tile cabinets etc.
@@tinavegas4575 so the insurance company brought their own water mitigation company out and they removed items that were damaged? Not necessarily. If they believe the loss isn't covered but you have an argument that someone gave them authorization to remove everything so that would imply the loss is covered
@@theclaimsquadpublicadjusters the indurance paid the mitigation company to remove wet items. Now the company did an estimate for rebuild. Can they refuse to pay for that part?
Hello I have a question I slipped in the middle of the night onto the toilet woke up in the morning and my living room ceiling had a big hole and my wood floor is soaked should I tell them that I fell in the middle of the night or just say I don’t know 2hat happened the funny thing is I had just called them to make a claim for Mold because I was tearing off the wall paper and theirs mold growing behind it. Is this also gonna effect my claim now I have 2 issues
@@JahisLovePsalms so you slipping caused the hole in the ceiling? Your claim has to be from a covered peril , ie wind, hail, fire, sudden and accidental backup or overflow of water from a plumbing, heating ,AC, Fire protection system, etc If no covered peril caused this issue then the insurance company will deny it based on no coverage

I would still fight it

@@GrandFamily4 have to take a look at the policy to see what it says about hurricanes. Most homeowners do have % as deductible ex 2%, 5% and 10%

Does insurance cover water damage due to a bath tub accidentally being left on in the upstairs bathroom?
This just happened yesterday. I am filing a claim today
It does not cover negligence by the homeowner
A covered peril needs to occur for coverage:
Wind, Fire, Sudden leak from like a pipe break, hail, etc
