Hello me and my husband are in Tennessee. We have been fighting with Travlers for a frozen pipe burst for a month and have been switched adjusters now 3x. We had several items that got damaged due to the damage and unable to live in or close to our house and are having to stay with in-laws because they said they won’t pay for a place until clarified this is the frozen pipe. Please help. We were planning to put the house on the market in May and have been dealing with this till February. We want to get the most out of this we can so we can have maybe a good downpayment for a next house. Any suggestions?
The insurance company sent me a check in the mail alot less than my contractors estimate. What can I do? Do I just cash the check and pay the difference?
@@MrJaviereduardoflore you will be looked at as high risk and will run the risk of nobody insuring you. Why? Because if you will file a small claim then they know you will file a claim for any small things that happen
Thank you! I'll ask. I didn't know if there was harm in uploading my own. Claim was pending for 30 days due to cause of water. In the meantime, we moved the stuff that could be saved. @@theclaimsquadpublicadjusters

Depends what State you live in. Could possibly do appraisal or sue them

I live in New Jersey, also should I cash the check? It has my name plus the mortgage companies name on it as well.
why wouldn't you file a claim if amount is up to $5K after the deductible?

My insurance company is asking for pictures from a storage unit roof leak. Got any tips?! Thank you!
See if management of storage unit can provide photos of leak/roof damage
OR
Why aren't they coming out to inspect ?
