@@rick6620 That's because in BF3 the M1911 was doing 34 damage in CQB, which means you needed 3 torso shots to down someone. With BF4 and the rest of the titles that came after it, you need 4 shots instead because the damage was less.

I kinda like the left hand underneath -method too. I served in finnish army and we used RK-62, which is like heavily modernized AKM So these are all very nostalgic to me
Asad Uppal if you’re right handed that handle will be moving in front of your face if it were on the left, which can be distracting. That could be an argument for keeping it on the right side of the gun.
Rick, Not to mention the ejecting shell casings. You don’t want hot brass down your sleeves of bouncing to your face. With the bolt on the right side, the brass ejects more safely away from the shooter.
I love the fact that most of the animations actually pull a fresh mag from a chest carrier and use the bolt/slide release, unlike games like CSGO and Siege where the mag is pulled off and stuck back on, then needlessly use the charging handle.
Yup. I've been playing since 2013 and I was most surprised by the G36 and MG36. I never noticed that "spring" noise the bolt makes when it returns to the middle.

3:44 is quite possibly my favourite LMG reload ever, the sounds are so satisfying, especially when the soldier puts the drum mag into the mag well and wiggles it to make sure it’s locked in, then the charging handle is super satisfying too, really sets home the “ready to fire” feeling.

@Brian W clearly they didnt care about that when they made the DOA12 reload animation more realistic in BF4. That shot gun is useless cause it takes so long just to put in 1 shell. I do appreciate the realism, but for a reload that long the shotgun should have done way more damage.

God this game was so amazing. Can there ever be a game that captures this same feeling. For some reason, especially on the desert maps, this game really made me feel like i was in a modern conflict. Even more so than bf4.

After Battlefield 4 the reloads got worse. I miss those violent feeling while reloading the gun. In Battlefield 1 and V it feels so soft and bit like plastic. Espacially the Scar and A-91 in BF4 felt so damn satisfying. (My opinion)
To be fair, with the older guns they did have to be more careful. Being hasty could lead to mud in the action, and the guns never responded well to such. A ton of countries tested their arms in clean testing ranges, rather than war like conditions.
The one thing I love about this game is being able to put sniper scopes and bipods on anything, turning them into a sniper and you can just mow down everyone with an automatic rifle from far away

This game really was the definition of "Next-Gen". The visual fidelity and sound design was just unmatched in 2011. And it was unmatched in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Way ahead of its time as an FPS multiplayer game.
Someone who doesn't understand guns here I wonder why in many videogames' reload animations, the character when reloading an empty shotgun reloads the whole magazine then pumps the action, whereas in some games like BF3, the character puts the first round in the chamber first, before then reloading the magazine?
You'd think more of these guns would be in bf4 because the war between the us and Russia only barely paused before it escalated in bf4's story. A missed opportunity
I remember when I was a 12 yrold COD player, and I went to my cousins house and played BF3 campaign at his house and I was shitting myself at the subway mission. The graphics were the best of the best.
After going back and playing BF4, I still think there’s something about BF3’s graphics that are more appealing. BF4 may look more “realistic” but there’s something about BF3 that looks really clean and smooth in comparison

Me and the MG36 with a bipod and Rifle Scope definitely rustled some jimmies back in the day. That and the pre-nerf USAS with frag rounds.
Back when BF was beating CoD on almost everything quality related. Now they seem more concerned with making half baked agenda driven games.

Cs5 in bf4 is great, it's really smooth
I consider it to be exactly the opposite - BF3 and 4 were mediocre, BF1's guns are, in my opinion, excellently made, whereas BF5 seems lacking again.
