I went to Jozef's seminar here in Vietnam. He taught his tripod passing system was super cool. Very excited to see how he does at ADCC think he could be a dark horse for the comp.
@StephenVTran it grows right now, mostly because of expats and few brazilians that came to teach (Gilberto Bottiglieri, Robson Oliveira, and Felipe Negochadle). Local Vietnamese bjj players become much better, but their number is not enough yet. If I remember correct, recently one Vietnamese became 2nd or 1st at Asian Games at BJJ, pretty big for local bjj scene. Moreover, seminars become fore often thing, people like Jozef Chen, Robert Degle, Gabriel Souza were visiting for a seminar, and that's awesome. To sum up, bjj grows here, but it will take some time to catch up at least to countries like Poland, Finland in terms of bjj development
Man, I wish we could get you on the broadcast team for ADCC. Great video. Edit: how about a breakdown/history lesson of the previous generation? i.e Marcelo, Roger, etc… Most new practitioners have no idea who these legends are.
I love how you string together these narratives to an otherwise hard-to-follow event. The technique analysis and breakdowns are awesome and the quick break for comedic details are just perfect!
HEY GUYS! Last video bombed. Sad face :( Hopefully you like this one though! Jozef is a beast. Thanks for all the support, we hit Partnership today so I’m super happy. Love ya! - Max
Maybe, but now my Jozef Chen one is also kinda bombing. No idea how TH-cam decides what gets popular @@paulwessely2669 🤷 I'm grateful for everyone all the same though!
Don’t forget you had an amazing entry, you’re back down to pretty good entry level numbers. Might be hard to be satisfied as your welcome in to TH-cam set the bar so high. Don’t beat yourself up, just keep pumping out content regardless and you’ll keep stacking views. The internet is completely unpredictable with what will bite. 3 second attention spans.
This was awesome, format is great. Also highly recommend the recent video on the same subject by Less Impressed More Involved BJJ. I feel like between the two of you it's the perfect combo as he goes deeper in the technical details while you provide a quick overview.
Subscribed. First of all thank you for the great commentary, and the humor. Dare I say your B-team level humor which is the highest of compliments. I love the format as well. It's also a thrill being here on the ground level of what I'm pretty sure will be a skyrocketing channel for fight commentary!
I learn helpful things from watching these. Me and boys been messing a round with wrestle ups in the gym and watching Jo perform what you described as “Nicky Ryan’s” wrestle up intrigues me. I watched it back a couple times. Thank you sir for your erudition its helping my Jiu Jitsu
That means a whole lot, thanks! Nicky is my go-to for wrestleups, I know he didn’t invent them but he has some excellent instructional stuff on them. Also erudition is a fantastic word. Thank you!
You could add in more ¨Joe Dirt ¨one liners, he´s jam-packed full of bjj gold, keep up the solid work brother. You could break down all of the old adcc vids, dating back to the original tourney back in 1996, or whenever it was, cheers mate
I personally think a quick “faces of the crowd” compilation would be hilarious. But in all seriousness, great content, I’ll watch anything you decide to put up.
He’s trained everywhere, like i said I think he’s done some work with Jason Rau and a lot of work at gyms in Asia, but most recently he’s worked a lot with B-Team, he was on their team at Quintet, and they did give him his brown belt so I’m comfortable mentioning him as a B-Team dude! :)
I think you’re missing a trick there with the guillotine attack. Joseph didn’t go for a gator roll, as he had already released the grip. He was reacting to his opponents escape attempt, managed to roll faster than the opponent, and caught the leg on his way up. Small but important detail I think

I bet that was an awesome seminar.
How big is Jiu jitsu in Vietnam?
What do you do in vietnam?

@@НикитаМаркович-ъ9д that is so cool. Thanks for letting me know! I can speak Vietnamese so I wanna go there and maybe teach and learn someday
Great ethnically ambiguous commentary 👍
I’m very white. Hahaha thanks!!

High praise :) id love to commentate grappling or mma someday.
I like this idea, would be cool for you to breakdown some of the historic runs of the legends of the sport.

probably got a lot of subscribers from the bjj reddit post, no?
might just need a little promotion for mma fans?

Thanks so much, this is such a lovely comment.
B-Team level humour! My god, the highest praise! :D
Of the best and most entertaining bjj breakdowns. Straight to the action.
Thanks!!

I personally think a quick “faces of the crowd” compilation would be hilarious. But in all seriousness, great content, I’ll watch anything you decide to put up.
Not a bad idea haha, maybe a Short?

Great channel

Can you do a video on Amanda Levi in Big Dan? Since they had all submissions at their trials as well as anyone else we should know.🙏
Amazing video- Owen Jones next please!
5 years of training…. That’s bananas
He’s a prodigy for sure!
Hey! Love your work sm. Best breakdowns! Just a quick q- how do you get around posting without flo grappling flagging it?
Good brake down. Very high Q ratings for your on camera work.
I'm not sure what that means, but I hope it's good! Thank you :)
Great Chen!
Tommy really thought he was going to overpower jozef and physically dominate
He is a big strong Viking boy to be fair
5:45 *Teleports behind you*
nothing personnel kid
Jozef Chen represent ✌️
He is a gangster
Break down you're favorite matches just in this past year, doesn't have to be recent
Thank you!! I will.
In my mugatu voice- it’s that damn jozef! He’s so hot right now! Love your videos makes watching grappling double has fun.
Another great vid. Can you do one for Owen Jones? Also 19 years old and won Euro Trials 66 division defeating Ash Williams and Robert Degle
I’ll have a look! Thank you :)
Chen is too good for his age
I liked Farm-point Technic
Finally a top tier Taiwanese grappler 🇹🇼
He’s definitely an ace!
Does he live in Taiwan?
@@errgo2713 nah I don’t think so but I think he got duo citizenship which one of it is from Taiwan
Nice vid bro
Thanks!
Is Josef on the B Team ? Or does he do his own thing separate to B Team ?

bro 😂 ur commentary is funny
Thanks man!! Appreciate it haha

European trials weren’t split into two days. Everything on 1 day
Oh man, is that right! My apologies!
jozef Chen > Gordon Ryan
