Whenever I think of Blount I always think of the Super Bowl LI, the Pats vs the Falcons. Both offenses were stymied in the first quarter. At the start of the 2nd qtr Blount fumbled hard and gave away the first turnover. This put the Pats in a bad spot as the Falcons started scoring like crazy. We all know how the Falcons blew that lead but sometimes we forget what happens on the sidelines. LaGarette Blount was on the sidelines keeping everyone pumped up. He's a great teammate with a positive attitude. The Pats turned it all around with the most amazing comeback in Super Bowl history.

As a Nebraska native myself, our football program has been pretty trash recently, but after watching some VHS tapes my grandpa had from back in the 90s, we destroyed everyone. I have read many Sports Illustrated books that have ranked our 1995 season as the greatest in CFB history. The main game was the Fiesta Bowl against undefeated Florida. I was the kicker in high school but also the 4th string halfback/tailback, and in the playoff semi-finals during my junior year our 1st string halfback (the head coach's son) went out with a possible concussion in the 2nd quarter. Not a big deal, we had more RBs, right? Wrong. The 2nd string was out with a sprained ankle and the 3rd was at home with the flu. So it was my job to run and kick for the rest of the game, and I did, but for whatever reason I was on fire and ran like I'd never ran before. I guess it was adrenaline, and maybe some fear, but I put up 130 yards and 2 TDs that night, while kicking 5 PATs and 2 field goals of 35 and 44 yards, scoring 23 of our 41 points. We won 41 to 27, but I never ran the ball in a game ever again. Why? As I said, the coach's SON was the starting halfback, and there was no way on God's green Earth anyone was taking his starting job. Oh well, at least I got to carry the ball for most of a game, and did a good job. (edit. spelling)

You should do a video on QB Josh Woodrum. He was given a shot in the preseason for the Ravens who needed a backup QB. He showed out and looked like a very good backup in the 2017 preseason with over 300 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. Unfortunately he was later waived and never found a spot on a team the rest of his career.

sucks to suck, feel for the dude but at a certain point you gotta realize you can't trust a phone to wake you up. I've had dozens of times where my alarm for whatever reason didn't go off.
However, I do love me some LeGarrette Blount.
Dude's highlights are just a treat to watch. When I started watching the NFL and legitimately caring about the league, Frank Gore, Adrian Peterson, and Steven Jackson were ballin out as big power backs.
Jackson was like 6'2/240 and ran over everybody.
AP was 6'1-6'2/220 and also the fastest guy on the field.
Gore was smaller at 5'9/212 but he'd get 4 yards falling down.
There were guys like Brandon Jacobs(6'4/264lbs) and, of course, Beast Mode himself, Marshawn Lynch (5'11/215).
RB's from say, 2006-2016, were just bUiLt diFfeREnT.

The Colts run defense is trash.
That is what happened to Gray. he was better than any of us will ever be or have been, but the only reason we know his name is because the colts defense was a dumpster fire. Jonas had opportunities and was rejected time after time.

Of course it’s against the colts. Colts love setting records and career highs against them. The most recents I can think of are biggest comebacks (ravens), minshew, Lawrence, drew Brees all career high completion percentage and damn near record high. If you know any more pls keep it going.

  • @chevy4x466

Apparently there is a little more to the story. Jonas had media interview bragging about his ability, essentially saying he was the top rb or an mvp. This was right before a big game. His head swelled beyond belief, bill don’t play that. As far as oversleeping a practice because he stayed up watching film, I wasn’t born yesterday. Ne thing atheletes r great at, it’s being on time for practices. Clearly an innocent mistake, but he may have been celebrating his new found celebrity.
I would have liked to see an update on Jonas post football. I hope he is doing well. For an average talent, he will not be easily forgotten. He won a super bowl, and covered on sports illustrated. His 15 minutes of fame was a good run.
