really appreciate the consistency of your recent videos, great job.
I have my merchant mariner credential, passport, medical certificate and twic card how do i go for job search ?
Question do Marchant mariners who in the union have priority over non union mariners who trying to get there foot in the door at the halls
So, companies that choose to use union mariners.... will prioritize jobs for the union sailors. There are non-union jobs out there... but you have to find them on your own.
Love the channel!
🙏
Questìon, regarding the "mixed work schedule". I'll be out at sea for 6 months? And then I'll be off for 6 months? This would be great! The thought of 6 months on & 6 months off every year! Wow! I'm interested in this msc. 😊
I feel the same way. 6 months off seems doable.
Great Work on your videos. I was wondering if you can make a video about Logistics department. Information about Junior Supply Officer and their duties. Also what are levels above JSO. Any potential future career opportunities on land specifically with MSC. Also are the any other positions throughout Maritime industry that is similar to JSO.
I finally received my offer for Ships Communication Officer with MSC, hopefully the rest of the process goes smooth.
Congrats
how long did that take to get the offer ?
@@Killercam48 about a month and a half from the time I was able to apply till I got the offer.
Do I have to have a security clearance to work on every ship ?
Security clearances are job dependant .
@@thewanderingmariner thank you for a straight forward answer.
so great lake companies probably wont hire me entry level since i live in utah then? Im going to apply to msc. thanks for the info
Not necessarily. I would apply to anything and everything at starting out. Only you can make the call on what's best for you. However, MSC is a great avenue for training.
