I’ve had the smallest of those pry bars on my key ring for about 12 years. Use it to pop tape on boxes at work where I’m not supposed to carry a knife. It’s got a nice patina now too!!
30 items in 20 minutes! I like that you honour small items very much in fact i was just searching for a good way to add a needle and thread in my edc so your presentation just came at the right time 🙂 But still, rushing through 30 items in 20 minutes contradicts somehow the valuing of little details of small gear. You could easily spend 10 minutes on each of those items talking about material, where it was made (and under what circumstances if that information is available) how to include it in your edc, compare it to other options, talk about function, look, feel, smell or even acoustics. Long story short: you leave me here with a lot to discover in the new to me manufactures and resellers. Thanks for bringing together this collection.
Dude, you dont need 10min on every item, that's definitely an exaggeration, and alot of ppl like many items in a reasonably lengthed video, focusing only on the main points of the items. The little details are for separate vids usually
I really appreciate all the specs, especially the weights. You'd be surprised how many gear heads forget to include the weight, or just say "it weighs nothing"
I second that. When you see a product advertised it’s hard to get a feel of the weight. If it’s specified sometimes they use the weight with packaging, which for smaller gadgets can be significantly different than the product itself.
I’m a mini EDC guy. I carry Victorinox Manager multitool w pen, RovyVon A3 flashlight, and Knipex Cobra XS pliers. I use all of them nearly every day & love all 3.
WOW! Awesome ideas here. Those mini pry bars are definitely going to find a way into one of my kits. You can never underestimate the need for a whistle when traveling outdoors, it's an essential survival item.
Very happy to see the type of lighter I suggested a few months ago. I'm still using mine more frequent than I thought. There are even smaller versions with a flat bottom.
That is a very nice LARGE collection of mostly very small, carry-able/portable, high-quality, useful, and interesting EDC items. Probably nobody needs it all, but also probably everybody could get good use from much of it at times. I'm old now though, so I get sticker-shock at the prices of almost everything. Your videos are the BEST on this topic, and I'm amazed at your resourcefulness, objectivity, and helpful content. There should be some kind of prize awarded for it.
Some good kit there Jon, thank you. I find the transport costs for stuff from America can seriously affect the price of some of the gear out there, so I wonder if a similar UK exercise might be of interest? Mind you, given the state of our economy, I wonder if it would be perhaps a pointless exercise. Still, a great vlog. Cheers. 👋
Amigo clip gets a thumbs up. I have one of the other metal ones which hangs my flashlight, but the little flare on the end kept catching on things, like taking my jacket off and (luckily) seeing my RovyVon flying away... The Amigo keeps my light a little deeper in the pocket and the exterior clip doesn't catch on things. I appreciate the longer outside clip, too, that's easier to grab when I need it. Great job on these videos Mr. Gadget!
SUPERB video sir! One of your best. Great list, good prices mostly, interesting products, huge variety. Had a rough day of heavy lifting and assemblies, had a great time watching it with a hot cup of tea (no milk).
Good Evening Jon, Happy New year. So much for my no new stuff January! Heading over to Amazon the minute I've finished the video. Thank you for the great content and ideas.
Another great vid Jon thanks so much. The Dyneema thread, pry bars and tins caught my eye in particular, as you say great additions to my kits! All the best
@@jaqian I’ve used it on removing nails to doing vehicle unlocks. Opening cans with a pull tabs…yesterday I used it to readjust the alignment on a car quarter panel in order to put a new retention pin in. It’s been handy for numerous tasks.
Jon, amazing content and smoothly delivered, that’s what you’re know for if you ask me. I greatly appreciate you providing all this content for us viewers. Greetings from Southern California, this is Alan, God Bless You brother!!
Jon, thank you so much for your videos. There are very helpful and very informative I love all the gear that you feature. I love your EDC Altoids tin kits. And I have bought some of the things that you have mentioned. Things such as the Rovivon flashlights, the tombow air press pen. Brilliant gear, brilliant job, keep up the good work. Crow from across the pond, Tennessee USA
That Dyneema dispenser needs to be paired with a sewing kit. Dyneema is really weak when knotted (It doesn't handle shear forces very well) so if you want it to support any significant tension it should be looped and stitched instead, that's how its used on kites and paragliders at least...
as a woman, I really had to laugh at the amigo clip. here we are hoping for a pocket big enough to hold basically anything at all, while the men have jeans pockets so big they need a clip to not loose their gear in those pockets! :')
I feel like a few of us gals should come together and figure out how to design usable and affordable women’s pants. It is some BS in this day and age that women’s clothing designers think we don’t want some sort of functionality to our clothing.
I was on an Air Boat once in the Everglades and it broke down and the radio didn't work! so they used a whistle and it worked they found use. Very very useful thing to carry
3:00, RovyVon does make the best small lights! I have the A5 Gen 4 luminous body version. Seems to cost more than you think a small light like a RovyVon is, but they are well worth it. Very functional, USB C charging with internal battery.
Omg I thought for a second that he said “my caravan” luckily for his credibility he actually said campervan 😎 Caravan are a slippery slope, only slightly better than being a Morris dancer
We've seen the altoids tin EDC kit. But could we challenge it even more? The slide box at 14:22 looks like such a nice and convenient back pocket item, i wonder how something like that could carry some bare minimal tools in itself.
@13:14 Lol when my dad would buy a new pocket knife he would give me his old one. Every blade had the tip broken off every time from him trying to use the blade as a pry bar.
No offence, but 50 quid says that there is some thick (or malicious) plod who would absolutely say that is a fixed blade knife and if they couldn't get you on that, they would just go for the backup idiocy of a sharp object in a public place.
...thanks for promoting county comm they deserve the extra business and are great dudes, but now all the shit i want is sold out ;-; been buying from them for a few years now and ive havent seen them this sold out for a while
I'm gonna be real...most of the survival/tactical stuff that gets made for EDC comes with clips for attaching to your pockets, I'm not sure what use the CF Amigo clip would get. Probably better served on a bag or something, Iunno
It feels like some clever marketing types have cleverly discovered through research that in the market of cool little gadgets for people like us, the ideal rrp is $30 😅
the pill blades seem kind of silly to me, i dont think id ever use that and id rather carry something more useful and accessible like a 58mm SAK or leatherman squirt.
A great collection of very handy, affordable and unique items to have, even though one might not anticipate needing them. I appreciate how thorough your descriptions are. I love gadgets and tools and will have to watch this video a couple more times so I can be selective and not buy one of everything.
Hi Jon greetings from Brum! Know it’s a bit off topic, but do you know where I can get some toothpick replacement fero rods in a UK site for my Victorinox Rambler? Bless ya!👍🏼
I love tiny EDC items but I can’t wrap my head around the idea of somebody thinking that 14 needles and 12 buttons is the appropriate amount to carry on one’s person at all times. Seems a bit overkill.
I think so too, unless it’s in a kit that a whole family could use. If they put two buttons and 2 needles, there would be someone complaining about why not 3?
Hi! I have a very useful small Victorinox Rambler (58mm) tool. I was thinking of making it "flight-ready", by removing the blade. Is there anything I could replace it with? ...Something like a "cuticle pusher" or an "orange peeler" might fit where the blade is? Thanks!
So I bought the Aircard having seen it here on your channel. I'd say the current generation with all the fancy looks isn't very functional as a wallet finder since it doesn't support Nearby as well the sound being awfully low in volume. It didn't help me locate my Ridge the other day despite being in a quiet area. I hope to see the newer generation have louder volume as well as nearby.
A lot depends on what it is stored in - I seem to remember it is louder than an AirTag - yes, on Apple have direction finder but I have not needed it yet as can hear it when close
That's right Jon, it's not the size that counts, it's how you use it. And who would want an unsightly large bulge in their trousers? (from too large EDC things being carried, of course...)
Hi some of the items in this video are only priced in dollars. They will ship to the UK but with exchange rates changing we just gave the price in dollars. :-)
EDC has gone from carrying essentials and minimalist preparation to an entire industry aimed a braggarts and incompetent magpies who are distracted by shiny but pointless trinkets.
I have the Rovyvon A4 Ti but I won’t be buying another when the battery dies, non replaceable batteries is unforgivable. I should have done my due diligence when I bought it but the choice to sell them that way is down to them.
As a gadget and gear junkie, you've just cost me a pretty penny. Great items with great presentations. Well done, and thanks Jon!
It did not cost me much, I already have most of the CountyComm items he exhibited. LOL.
I’ve had the smallest of those pry bars on my key ring for about 12 years. Use it to pop tape on boxes at work where I’m not supposed to carry a knife. It’s got a nice patina now too!!

No worries , it's always a balance when it comes to detail. This one is more about product discovery 👍
Dude, you dont need 10min on every item, that's definitely an exaggeration, and alot of ppl like many items in a reasonably lengthed video, focusing only on the main points of the items. The little details are for separate vids usually

good to know - thank you

Fully agreed as a gram weenie myself who spreadsheets weight savings vs $$$.
Great video, managed to get through it without an immediate urge to buy something, i guess that means my mini EDC is almost complete 😂
I’m a mini EDC guy. I carry Victorinox Manager multitool w pen, RovyVon A3 flashlight, and Knipex Cobra XS pliers. I use all of them nearly every day & love all 3.
What do you use the pliers everyday on?
I can’t think of anything I would carry that I would need everyday apart from my keys or phone.
You sound fun. 😂@@jm329
WOW! Awesome ideas here. Those mini pry bars are definitely going to find a way into one of my kits. You can never underestimate the need for a whistle when traveling outdoors, it's an essential survival item.
Glad you like them!
That's what shopping is. You hear what's out there, think of what you can use, and resolve the along with the cost.

Thanks for the really kind comment - I lot of work goes into these, and so much appreciated

Oh wow, youtube finally recommended me something good.
Great items! The Altoids tin would be better if they had added a waterproof seal on the lid. 🌿
Yes I agree
I wonder if adding a rubber grommet just under where the lid latches would help this?
For the most part the lenses of a pair of glasses is the most important part of the glasses so protecting them is important
Amigo clip gets a thumbs up. Just picked up four of the items presented. Thanks!
No problem 👍
U have the best edc products selection. Love your channel
Love these minis! More minis for travel too?!
Yep - will come 👍
SUPERB video sir!

Good Evening Jon, Happy New year. So much for my no new stuff January! Heading over to Amazon the minute I've finished the video. Thank you for the great content and ideas.
Your welcome Martin 😊
Rovyvon A3 is amazing. I've been using one for 6 months now and it's extremely bright.
really good 👍
The Lensrappa looks like something you could make easily if you have the material (perhaps denim?) and the sewing skills.
Another great vid Jon thanks so much. The Dyneema thread, pry bars and tins caught my eye in particular, as you say great additions to my kits! All the best
Thanks Phil, yes, some good stuff 👍
That 4” bar has been fantastic. Found myself using it several times a week. Very handy.
What do you use it for?
@@jaqian I’ve used it on removing nails to doing vehicle unlocks. Opening cans with a pull tabs…yesterday I used it to readjust the alignment on a car quarter panel in order to put a new retention pin in. It’s been handy for numerous tasks.
Jon, I love your videos I lost my first microblade thanks for sharing info on the microblade XL
Sorry to hear that, XL is a nice option.

Great video. So many useful items in one place. Thank you.
Well another 20 min gone for stuff I want but don't need 🤣 still love the show! Keep going!
Sorry! More to come 😊
This is the perfect video for me. I just got myself the new microblad x p&co collab and will probably get the large tin with the insert.
Great 👍
I bought a lot of that dyneema thread and string and keep it in my sewing kit which I have had to use to patch up pants more than I'd like to admit.
Thanks!! I remember hearing about this site about a year ago but couldn't remember what it was. This is going to be an expensive video for me LOL!!
Excellent video. Clear, concise, loads of ideas and well paced. Many thanks.
This guy is the best!!
Nice video. I already have a few of these items which I like a lot. I use to carry a RovyVon but switched to a Mateminco CSF-04.

Heyy they are average!!!😤
With good character 🥹
You... You mean big... Right? 🥹
I’d say slightly above average even.
Below average
What really matters is how you use it.
Nice combination of items, great show!
Love the video Jon! 😊 gave me new stuff to look at😁 and most of it was decent price too! A bonus lol
Glad you enjoyed!
Great Vid, I like the tins with the deviders. The Glow in the dark is a great feature :D
Glad you like them!
I liked everything on this list, very cool items
Great video despite now costing me more money! 😅. Looking forward to 2024 revised versions of all your kits 😊
😬 Yes, kits will be updated over the year 👍
Some interesting items! Thanks 🙏🏻
Something I can recommend for your key chain is Spyderco Ladybug (~5 cm and 16 grams) 👍👍
Amazing stuff, enough to equip James Bond for another few decades!
LOVE me some County Com titanium bits and bobs sooo much edc goodies over there!!✊️🔥✌️💚
Definitely 👍
