What type of EDC kit do you carry? Are you a minimalist or pack as much as you can in a bag kind of person?
*Before you leave a comment, please look through other videos on my channel as they may answer your question(s). As this EDC kit is built for me and my environment. God bless and stay safe folks!
I would carry kit for hunting primarily. It had what I would need for most. Mostly I had what I would everyday in my pockets. But now I'm working on an edc for a wheelchair. I also see you are a first responder. I was in law enforcement for 30 years. An EMT. As I'm in a wheelchair many you had I can still use plus other things for my situation. I think what people need to know that your kit good but that is for you. So I watch a lot of edc videos to get ideas that will work for me.
@@r.tomrobison8307You are absolutely right! This video is to spark ideas and get others to ponder what gear should they carry for EDC. This is my EDC setup for my needs and environment. 😁👍
I put together one bag for each member of my family in a regular backpack. They have a walkie talkie/flash light/radio, head lamp and batteries, mylar blanket, tiny first aid, knife, towel, gloves, toiletries, coverall, facemasks, wipes and that's about it. My family don't seem interested in prepping or the bag but they know where they are. I keep first aid items in the kitchen that is more comprehensive. I know some basic first aid and CPR as does my husband. I added a bag for my basement that has tools. Down there is a butane camping stove, water food.
Well, at least the bags are there if an emergency presents itself, and then they'll realize how important they are. Have a wonderful weekend! 😁👍
Love the size and gear you have assembled in it! Brother I guarantee your gonna get some really dumb comments! 😂 Like this is not EDC cause people just don't get it the idea of EDC or how to expand upon it or you'll get the flip side where people haven't watched your previous content going over medical, get home bags and so on. The smart folks will get it and understand it and take something away from it. Like I read about the whole Grey man patch thing and I as just dumbfounded. Many of those individuals will not make it in a true SHTF my friend. Anyways this was truly informative and helpful in several ways. Thank you for sharing and the work you put into your channel! Godspeed Grey 🙏
Brother I couldn't agree more, I'd love to see some of these "Keyboard Warriors" put out content. Grey puts himself out there trying to spread the word of preparedness and some of these idiots just don't take away the information that's inside the videos and they rather criticize not understanding that everyone is different and this is just Grey's way. God bless you Old Man!
I'm used to it by now, lol 😆 No matter what I say or do, there will always be someone who will tear it down. But folks like yourself are why I keep pushing forward. I've received many comments on how helpful something was, and that's why I'll keep doing this as long as I can. I may not always be right, but there's always something to gather from the content. I'm always learning. God bless you, brother 🙏
@@commonsensepreparedness5841 Couldn't have said it better 🤘🙏
The flip side of all that is also true. Content creators often act as if they are infallible and can not take even the most politely stated criticism. Or tolerate the slightest disagreement with their positions.
@@user-wd4ge2zh2c I really get what your saying brother. I am not sure if you have watched Greys content before he's really open to constructive criticism especially if it is done in a polite and educational way, hence why I truly enjoy his channel.
My edc is a mom bag and I still find it funny that I carried a lot of these things long before I started learning proper prepping. Kids are often their own kind of emergency situation. Lol Pedialyte is still my go to for fast hydration boosts. I've saved myself and others many times with how hot it gets where I live here in the south. Thank you so much for this video. It definitely showed me some holes I need to fill for more outdoor scenarios.
Thank you, and I'm glad you found some helpful ideas in this video. 😊
Morning Grey. In my truck I do carry a "MacGyver" kit along with my get home bag, IFAC and all my everyday carry. I do have a small edc bag that also has many smaller tools and equipment I have found I need quite a few times a week. A bag is a bag, unless you put a strap on it, it is now a purse. Put a belt on it, it is now a fanny pack. Carry it, it is now a clutch. Oh well, lable man in front of it and it becomes acceptable to carry. 😜
Roger that 🤣 My wife always says don't forget your man purse lol. all in good fun, though.
Very nice I don't carry to much but if it hit the fan I sure wouldn't mind being with you 😊 Thanks Grey hope you have a great weekend .
🤣🤣 Thank you, Tammy 🙏
Hubby loves the kit! he is really into expanding his EDC as you gentleman call it and found this to be exactly what he was looking for. So he said to let ya know he said thank you! ☺
Very cool, tell I said thank you as well, and blessings to you both! 🙏
Hi Grey. I have been working on my bags….bug out and EDC. I am turning my ‘purse’ into an EDC. It’s a sling back bag. I have been picking up ideas from a lot of you. It’s more minimal than my bug out, but still contains important items in the name of survival. Thanks for your input. I have heard a lot of ppl including some gorilla tape. I have added a whistle, pepper spray, wipes, lighters, hydro, emergency blanket and still working on it. All the best!
Sounds great! Keep up the great work! 😊👍
You really got the coolest stuff. When it comes to cords for electronics my husband says I'm a pack rat. Then one day he was looking for a certain cord couldn't find it guess what i had it for him 😂 Great video on your pack. Thanks Grey. God Bless 🙏❤️🙏
You remind me of my wife she keeps a lot of things, and I ask why, then I need something, and she's like I told you this would come in handy. lol 😆 God bless and have a blessed weekend 🙏 ☺️
Lol, other than you having more knives & medical, our kits are very similar. Of course, I don't have the medical knowledge you have. Mine has quite a bit of cash, just in case, and even some silver. I carry a pocket sized New Testament and extra hair ties, which can do more than just tie up hair. Have a blessed weekend, Grey & Grey family.
Funny enough, I have a few hair ties holding the straps in place, lol 😆 I do keep a stash of silver & cash in my GHB but it's definitely an idea to add a little bit to the EDC bag as well. 😁 Have a great weekend, JT! 🙏💛
Thank you GreyMan, I like your EDC kit.✝️❤️
My pleasure, Raka 😁 Have a great weekend!
@@GreyManPrepping you too Grey☺️
@@rakamas Thank you! 💛
Oh gosh...I carry tons of stuff. Kits inside of kits. Im a Door Dasher. I live in my vehicle pretty much. My EDC has saved me soooooo many times!
🤣 Great minds think alike, lol, and yes, in that profession, I would definitely have multiple options. I'm so glad to hear that you're prepped! Stay safe! 😊🙏
Glad you did this. There are so many things I never even gave a 2nd thought to until now.
I'm truly glad you found this helpful! Please have a wonderful evening. 😊
A very well thought out kit. The only thing I'd recommend is to consider substituting a small pry bar in place of one of those big folding knives. Where i work, spigots are frequently secured behind small locked doors. One could easily ruin a knife by using it as an impromptu pry bar.
That's actually a really great idea! Thank you 😁👍
A nice kit and good ideas! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your videos!😊🎉
You are so welcome, and thank you for the feedback and support! 🙏
I really like the size of this kit all I ever see is these enormous bags and I couldn't ever carry anything like them for long periods of time or over extreme long distances. I know you have it as an every day carry kit but I see some protentional in the way you put this together. My mind is pondering some ideas 😆 God bless you and your family
Honestly, that's my goal with most videos is to share ideas and hope something within it helps at least one person out there. 🙏😊💛
@@GreyManPrepping You always have helped me, so thank you!
One of the things I've been adding to all my bags is some chem lights. Seems like a dumb idea, but sometimes you might want a sacrificial light sourse to draw attention to something. Could be an injured party in the dark, or a car accident on a bad corner. Having a light source which doesn't take batteries and can just be used and dropped has its advantages. Plus they're pretty cheap, I got 10 red chem lights for £10, fairly certain they'd be a similar price if not less in the US. Couple in each bag, couple in the car, and a couple in the house in case of power interruption, can save on wasted battery use.
I also keep something similar to your neck gator in my back pocket, once folded up I put in a bunch of hair ties, and a face mask from covid times. No matter what you feel of covid, those masks are now a socially accepted way to conceal your identity in urban environments. Authorities might question a camo gator, but a blue style medical mask, "oh I've got a cold, trying not to pass it to anyone else".
Some really great suggestions! Thank you for sharing! 😁🙏 I do carry chemlights as well. I have white, green, red, and infared, mostly in my get home bag, bug out kit, and vehicle storage area. IR lights are for my NVG gear.
Was doing a roof this week. It was reading 104° up there and I got so run down I didn't even remember I had hydration powder packets.
Roof work is definitely rough, brother! Stay safe out there. 🙏
I guess the lesson there is stage your gear and let others know where ifak is located
@@jackburton9460 Absolutely! 😁👍
some people dont understand edc is different for everyone. the only stuff i actually edc is a cheap pocket pouch from aliexpress with the leatherman arc, manker e05 ii flashlight that can run on AA, key holder, my cards/cash and bandaids. it fits nicely in my pocket and has everything i need. my backpack however has a ton of other stuff i carry a lot but dont EDC and your video is definetely and inspiration for my backpack.
Absolutely EDC is truly different for everyone. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. 👍
Great content! I had some, but not all in my bag
Thank you, I hope that some folks just ponder some ideas for their kit build outs. Sharing information and ideas is always a great thing. We all learn from one another. 😁
Like your video, however I TQ s from Bear Independent/ Refuge Medical..have a lot of his gear. It's made in the USA as well
Thank you, and yes, it absolutely is. I'm an affiliate partner with Refuge Medical and reviewed their products as well. 😁👍 Bear has been on the channel in the past it was a great conversation.
Thanks Grey! As always I picked up some new ideas ☺
Awesome, and thank you! 😊🙏
I would suggest adding some Leukotape. It's like a very aggressive Bandaid material that works to either cover a blister or prevent them. Goes on wet skin as well. If you are walking I find it a must have.
Great suggestion! Adding this to my cart now. Thank you 😁👍
Shock : Inadequate Tissue Perfusion. I Remember that definition quite well from when I first became involved as a pre-hospital medical provider in 1991.
In additional to regular water hydration/fluid replacement, I agree 💯% with electrolyte replacement.
Nice EDC. Well stocked and well organized. Much Love ❤
Thanks so much, Jan! God bless and stay safe! 😊🙏💛
Definitely picked up some ideas from this, thank you as always my friend. I carry a hellcat as well so I am with you there. Train with whatever firearm you carry and that's all that matters. You definitely packed a lot in this small cross body bag. My assumption is your thinking if you cant get to your GHB you have redundancies in this kit. makes perfect sense brother. Thanks for sharing your ideas. 🤘
Absolutely, train, train! Be as pro efficient with whatever firearm works best for you 🤘
Oooh! Thanks for the camera tip!! 👍
My pleasure 😁
Interesting gear in your sling bag. A few ideas provided thanks!
Glad it was helpful! 😁
My EDC is my GHB. I carry first aid, knife, cordage, compass, flashlight, hat, bugnet, radio, fire kit, mylar blanket, rain gear, water bottle. It goes everywhere with me in town and up to two towns away. It even goes into Walmart with me.Anyfarther away I add a small bedroll, tarp set up.
One of these days, I should go over my truck/ghb kit. It's much more comprehensive than this small EDC bag. I've tried to explain to some folks that my GHB is EDC as it's with me everywhere I go, but the EDC gurus say otherwise 🤣 But I think you & I are on the same page. Thanks for watching, and have a great day!
Very cool!
Thank you!
Subscribed today. This is the best EDC bag I've ever seen. I've been building one myself for a smaller 2.5L bag and included many of these items after doing a ton of research. You gave me plenty of new ideas and helped reinforce some of the things I had. Great stuff. Really well done.
I truly appreciate that brother, thank you! 🙏
Fixed Blade Knife ALWAYS lives in all my packs. Usually a Strongarm or Prodigy due to being made in the USA as well as Gerber providing a first responder discount. Many videos online on these knives.
Love my strongarm! I have one in my truck/get home bag and another in my Bob.
Very detailed. Tfs! This is very helpful!
You are so welcome, Truly glad it was helpful 😊 🙏
Thanks for sharing this--it has given me ideas to improve mine.
I'm glad I could help! 😁 Thank you, Sue 🙏
🦋🇺🇸👋Hey Grey and Everyone. Let’s see what you got my friend 🥰. Thks for sharing 🙏🙏🙏🥰
Hey there 😁👋
Looks good as is. Ty!
Much appreciated! 😁👍
I think that’s fantastic. Thanks.
Much appreciated, Kevin 😁🤘
I’m impressed. I just bought a big bag now I see I need a small bag. lol. I want a stethoscope in all my bags. Amazon has some cheap ones for $9.99. I have some training prior first responder but I am still very limited.
Any training is truly better than no training. Bigger bags are great for other scenarios. I keep a more comprehensive bag in my truck more so of 72 hour / Get home bag as it's called in the emergency preparedness realm of things. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts. Have a great night! ☺️🙏
Thanks GreyMan. Great video
Very welcome 😁🙏
I got a small bottle of baby powder wet wipes booboo kit waterbottle poncho in my bag caribiners and some snacks in my bag. My pocket edc is the honey badger drop point in med size pen small flash light
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 👍
Nice kit brother. I really like the bag.
Thanks brother, yeah I have four of them now. lol, for me, they are pretty affordable at $25 bucks. I should have put a link directly in the description for it.
Good video. Showed me a few new ideas, and that's starting to get rare, nowadays.
That's great to hear, I'm truly glad you found some value in this video.
First time watcher. Every comprehensive kit. I think you might want a repair kit with needles and thread. Maybe some cordage. Thanks plan to go back to your pass videos.
Welcome to the channel! And yeas, a sewing kit is definitely something to have on hand. I keep a #14 sail needle in my GHB and various other kits. This EDC bag has about 20 feet of 550 cord in the bag and 6 feet on the keychain. Honestly, I could just stick a needle in the bag somewhere in the material 🤔 Thanks for the making think! 😁👍
As to "redundancies" - - - Only TWO items I believe require "redundancy" 1. Knife and Fire Starter. In addition to THREE methods of starting a FIRE, I carry 2 small tubes made from a plastic straw: (heat seal both ends) A "cotton ball" saturated with Vaseline is stuffed inside for starting fire in wet weather.
Multiple "knives and fire starters" are NO. 1!
This bag is "similar" to what I have in my vehicles.
That's very interesting. I think you'll get a kick out of this video I did years ago. I think the title was fire starting capsules if I recall correctly.
th-cam.com/video/twpHfasKPZU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FoP9MW0olfIR3cgM
You don't have bandaids for small scratches and blisters, only trauma, and antibiotic cream. Don't underestimate simple gauze and bandaids. I don't carry an EDC because I don't travel. But i do have a BOB and many of these are included. I am going to be making my own SOS bars soon!
I'm not sure if you are new to the channel. The only reason I ask this is I'm a big proponent of medical. I've done videos from ouchie Kits to Trauma kits. Which I keep in my vehicle, home, and place of business at all times. I agree that never underestimate small scrapes and cuts as they can turn into an infected mess and take you out. I've told many soldiers in my squads as I was the combat medic that the simplest things will put you down for the count. Regardless, thank you for sharing your thoughts as it gives folks some food for thought. 😁👍
THKS
Thanks for watching David! 😁👍
I’m a female, I have a normal looking bag but with strategic items such as a lighter even though I have never smoked, with Vaseline lip balm , hand gel, tissues, feminine hygiene items, all can be used as a fire kit. I would add a whistle for attracting attention.
I've always told my wife she's lucky as she has a bag/purse with all her gear and nick nscks in it, and it looks normal. Luckily, we live in an area where most people are tactical, hunters, outdoor, fishing types, so I blend in lol 😆
1 is none and 2 is one is good for the absolute must have can't live without. I am a collector (packrat) and I carry, buy, store stuff that I don't use and is a waste of space, weight, money and energy. I would like to change my everyday carry to everyday use, everyday wear. The majority of the stuff I carry should be used every day, I should have a inventory list on my phone and mark every time I use the item in a month of carry, and use that as a major deciding factor on whether I am going to carry it on me or leave it in my vehicle which is usually within walking distance. I can learn a lot from minimalist hikers and carry on only travelers. I love Multi purpose complementary items but only if I use them fully ( just imagine removing the tools from a Leatherman you don't use every day) . "Just in Case" is what kills me and causes me to leave the whole bag in the car rather than carry it on my person. My focus should be on everyday wear and not everyday carry. If it is not scratched and well loved then I probably don't use it.
Thanks for sharing your perspective on this topic 😁👍
If anyone is a first responder/military, etc, there are many companies that provide discounts. I don’t feel this is a bad thing since most FR will help others besides themselves. North American Rescue also provides this discount. Glock, Leatherman, Gerber, many others provide discounts to FR.
Great information to share! 👍
Great video
Thank you 🙏
I'm not out every day or even 3x a week, so I don't keep a bag in my truck, also the temps get hot inside of a closed up hot day making it hotter inside the truck. For those reasons I just don't keep bags in there like that. If I have to go somewhere, I take a bottle of water, snack bar, eye drops for dry eyes, medicine for anxiety/panic attacks and BC powder in my purse. I have separate bags ready to go for each situation that may arise that I can grab omw out of the door. 1 loaded bag for medical emergency use. 1 bag for food/snack/drinks, water, water enhancer packets and candy. 1 bag for assorted clothes, socks/shoes, extra eyeglasses, phone charger, toiletries/hygiene. Toolbag is already in the truck. I don't like having everything mixed together in the same bag, I prefer to have things kinda like going on vacation so I know what's in each bag. I know...I'm weird like that. My protection gun/knife is in my purse and the baseball bat, golf club, 4ft stick (like Walking Tall), ax, hatchet and machete, shovel, rope, spade, garbage bags, jumper cables and flashlight are already inside the truck. Bahaha 62 and live alone but I don't get out at night. Machete is new from today at Harbor Freight.
My wife has that machete! 😁 When it comes to bags, kits, and supplies, everything is situational depending on your skill level, needs, environment, and your intentions. So what you said makes perfect sense. My goal with this video is to spur ideas and get a conversation going. Thanks for watching, and have a great day. 😁 👍
I am confused by the greyman prepping patch. I thought greyman was about blending in, being unsuspicious. The patch advertises you got some useful stuff in your pack that may be worth a bullet when shtf.
The greyman concept for me is situational. Were I live and places I frequent are filled with folks that myself and family have known for generations. Everyone is armed, ready, and geared up in this small town. I do have a property investment that I live in outside of a primary residence that's not shown on YT, which is Greyman all the way. I do keep a kit/bag/clothing in my vehicle that's modeled after the grey man theory. Maybe I'll do a video on it down the road here. Anyways, sorry to ramble, that patch was designed to raise awareness on emergency preparedness. As I told folks who have asked in the past what you see on TH-cam, is only a small percentage, I've built things specifically for TH-cam for teaching, informing, and educating. God bless and stay safe.
Hi
Inn a survival situation when hydration issues are the MOST important
adding a pinch of salt to your freshwater will improve the water's ability to keep you hydrated
...
think Gatorade
Thanks for that, I don't know why I couldn't spit that out during this video 🤣
Good kit for sure but it leans more to bob or go bag than edc my edc is light this bag would stay in my vehicule because i want empty room in my bag for water, magazines, or clothes or for small lacking groceries half or 75% of your bag would stay in my car and definitly watching yours reminds me that i must add somme few things too thanks mate for those ideas and the cana kit looks awesome
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. And yes, the EDC bag is overkill, lol. Unfortunately, that's how I do most things 😅 My GHB kit in my truck is a bit different as it has space to add things. This kit I'm showing here is a "what if" I couldn't get to my main bag. I used to go mini with my EDC kit until my brother's best friend lost his life in a store shooting 4 years ago on vacation. If he only had the tools, it would have ended differently. Now my brother and I roll heavy with gear everywhere we go. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my video. Have a great day, Jack! 😁👍
Looks great! I would add some OTC meds, bandaids. Possibly in a waterproof pill bottle.
I guess I could add a mini kit as an extension from my full-size ouch pouch in my truck. 😁👍
@@GreyManPrepping up to you but I did because I always used them more frequently than the shtf med gear.
I have daily heartburn and adding meds to my kit was a lifesaver.
@twhite19782012 I hear ya with the heartburn. lol 😆 seems the older I get, the more heartburn plays a role in my life. Gotta love getting old
Another good video Grey!
I really need to know what that bag is. I use a 5.11 Rush 12 when I (rarely) go out but it’s a bit big for EDCing on my shortish journeys; something like your bag would be pretty much perfect for me.
Thank you! 😁 If you like, I'll add a link to my bag, and you can check it out. The reviews are pretty positive on it, and I'd have to agree as I've bought 4 of them now over the past 2 years. 😆

@@GreyManPrepping thank you…..I’ve found one on Amazon from your side of The Pond & it’s winging it’s way over to the U.K. by next week.
Once again, thank you.
I am looking for more information on this post there.all thing put in and bag at
I carry a basic booboo kit between my telephone and the plastic protector.
Doesn't weigh and occupy no space.
Anything is better than nothing at all! 😁👍
I like to carry what I need not what I want. I have been doing self surveys lately finding that the gear I am lugging might not be the best.
I can truly understand that years ago, even in some instances, now I probably over carry items. 😅 I have reduced my get home bag down from 32lbs to about 16lbs over the years as my skulls have improved, and I've practiced with the gear inside and realized 25% or more was unnecessary. Plus, I'm getting older 😆
I would add a container to carry and boil water. Those Sawyer bags are unreliable. A good metal water bottle is simple and easy.
You seem to be carrying a lot of knives. A good folder and a multi tool is enough. Remember, you don’t bring a knife to a gun fight, but to each his own.
I have been a flight nurse, a medic, and taught TCCC . Your trauma kit is great, but I use the boo boo stuff more often than the trauma stuff. I would add some mole skin for your feet.
Good little kit there. Nice job.
Some great points. Thank you for sharing your suggestions. I have a pretty comprehensive ouch kit in my vehicle. I could probably take the external blade out of the equation and add a small boo boo kit with some triple antibiotic cream. 😁👍
Add a small roll of mole skin for blister prevention
Yes, great suggestion. I do keep that in my GHB bag and medical kits. Worst case, duct tape can be used in a similar manner, not as good but does the job in a pinch.
There are no snare wire traps in your kit. But there DO ARE in the mine...
I keep snare wire in GHB "get home bag" not only for snares but several other uses as well. I guess I'll have to do a video on my truck/GHB. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.
I would think that if you need a spare mag, then you kind of need it to be more accessible.
I understand your perspective, I carry 2 on my left side plus 1 in the firearm. It's just a redundancy for me and honestly personal preference, vs. carrying a box ammo.
Anyway you could link the bag from Amazon or the name for it ?
That I can I just noticed it is on sale as well! $19.99 I will most likely pick a few more my self. If you pick one up please let me know your thoughts after looking it over and using it a bit.

Haha you can't show me the bag and not pull everything out. I want to see it all!
🤣🤘
What does EDC stand for?
EDC = Every Day Carry 😁
Do you have a link to the bag itself?
That I do. I'll add it to this comment here. I own 4 of them now. Well, the wife has 1. I bought one and used it for 1 year and over. That time, I realized that the bag was a great buy as it stood up to my daily abuse, lol 😆

@@GreyManPrepping thank you
Did you mention what the full bag weighs? Do you ever go anyplace the bag is not allowed? Do you have pocket only supplies when that happens? Don't think I can heve a knife visible on a bag where I live. How do I find out the local laws without tons of research?
The bag weighs about 2-4 lbs depending if I'm carrying water. I try to refrain from going places that have heavy restrictions. Most places in Florida I have not had to worry about with the exception of Court Houses, Federal property like the post office. You can ask local law enforcement if you know any personally or look up your state statutes online referencing weapons or whatever you're looking to find out.
Is a Zippo a good thing to have?
If you plan on carrying the liquid fuel, also over long periods, they can dry out.
I have 3 Zippos, plenty of fluid and flint...I'm set! Plus I have matches big/small boxes and extra cheap lighters. 1 of the 3 Zippos is still in the package.
I do have flints and fluid. I guess they may be old school to some but so am I lol
Aren't they supposed to be windproof?
@@missperfect2657 Yes they're windproof and my grandmother used to use them. I just prefer them over a cheap bic/scripto for daily use. Men in the Military used Zippo around 1940-41 WWII, Zippo stopped selling to the general consumer and only went to the military for all use. They maybe old school, but folks still buy them, I found mine at WM. Love em too!
@missperfect2657 I think they were the original windproof lighters. Now they have these electronic thingy's 😆 I must be ancient with my flint & and steel, lol
My apologies. At first I was going to disagree with you because to me and EDC is something I would take with me everywhere I go. Police station movies mcdonald's to work any place I go. But as you went through your kit. I realized I carry all that stuff in my car already. So that does constitute, technically and EDC. Only real difference is I would not carry a tourniquet. A heavy first aid kit with me. As you do. I'm in Florida in a big city and EMS can be there in 5 minutes. Anything I need to take care of, I can take care of you without that. I've never been shot at in 50 years. I don't anticipate it changing.
I appreciate you watching through before making a decision, I figured some folks would disagree with my thought process on EDC but as the term states it's things you carry with you everyday, being on your person's extended ingredients to a vehicle as it's with you an accessible in most cases. The main reason I carry TQ's is that Bleeding can quickly become life-threatening. The average time to bleed out is only 2 to 5 minutes. In my area in Florida, the avg police response time is about 9-11 mins. I was a combat medic in the Army, and it's just entrenched in my DNA at this point to always be ready for the worst-case scenario. Thanks so much for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😁
I'm diabetic and never had propel spike my blood sugar. Ever.
A nutritionist had said that sucralose may actually impair a person's glycemic response and increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. And previous ingredients of some of the propel powders had an ingredient that had a GI that was almost double of table sugar. Which is why I mentioned it. Hopefully, that clarifies things a bit.
Are you swimming? Did you inflate your swan flotation device? 😂
Seen the flooding in Florida
Florida can be an odd place. lol 😆 here in my little nook, we got maybe 1/2 inch of rain. Outside of that partly sunny and hot
For my 3rd comment....I cannot figure out how to minimize all my Diabetes pump supplies. I love the thing but geez there's a lot of sterile but bulky stuff for it.
Yeah, that's a tough one. With certain medical conditions, things can get more complicated. As certain medications and supplies are a must.
Not very sure about experience with any of these items, especially the Med Kit. However, I could be wrong (has happened many times before). Most of the items are goodly. Just not sure about real experience. Df
You'd have to walk a mile in my shoes per se. As a combat medic in the Army, I never wanted to be under prepared or need something and not have it. As for real-world experiences, I've experienced way too much to add to this comment 😆 But many things in this kit have been needed or utilized in certain instances. But everyone is different. Factors like area "rural or city" environmental factors "weather" and me personally I spend a lot of times in the woods thinking, camping and so on.
downside to these videos is 99.99999% of them don't apply to 99.99999% of those watching them because everyone's has different needs, and desires. at least they provide some useful info such as exposing us to items we did not know existed ;).
I agree, everyone has different needs based on their own environments as well as several other factors that play a role in the gear they may choose to carry and skill sets they have, even local laws can change the dynamics of an EDC kit. But like you stated, it does give folks ideas of things that may or may not work for them or expose them to gear they may not yet be familiar with. 😁👍
Great "hand actor".
I'll take that 😆
It's a good kit, but since I follow the carnivore diet, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't put any carb-rich food-like concoctions (crap...) in my EDC kit! The thing is, I didn't pack any food, because my hobby is anyway "survival in extreme conditions", I'm a professional faster, so far my record is 12 days in a row without any food, and even after that I wasn't very hungry. And anyway, I'm ready to swallow live earthworms without batting an eye, if there's nothing better than that. I have eaten them many occasions, as well as other bugs, too. However, if I were to put some food in the kit, it would be pemmican, it's worthy of a carnivore, a meat-eater like me, a predator, whose role models are the cavemen, it's not high in carbohydrates but high in fat, and it keeps for DECADES even without refrigeration! Extremely longlasting! And it gives you much more energy than carbohydrates!
I make pemmican myself add some blue berries and black berries from the garden I dehydrate along with the tallow and dried meat. I've been experimenting with several options that can withstand the high temperature fluctuations in my car. Florida heat can destroy many food items. Whereas they go rancid. In a survival situation, almost anything would be better than nothing. My buddy, the Alaska Prepper he's been doing carnivore for about a year now.
@@GreyManPrepping I don't know how well pemmican lasts in Florida's climate, I'll be honest, I have no experience surviving in such a hot climate. I am a Hungarian man, 59 years old, although I am currently polluting the environment with my presence in the state of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is much colder than Florida. But Hungary, my native country, is even colder. And I have no intention of traveling to Florida or even further south, because even Penn State is sometimes too hot for me, at least in the summer... To be honest, I would probably feel really comfortable in Alaska!
Anyway, it sometimes gets very hot in Hungary, but it's different than in Florida or Pennsylvania. The largest part of Hungary is basically and ultimately a semi-desert, so even if it's hot there, it's almost always DRY hot! It is obvious that food lasts much better in dry heat than in humid, wet heat...
So I'm used to this kind of climate. I readily admit, or at least assume, that you may have more experience surviving in tropical or subtropical areas than I do. But I don't wish for such places. The environment may be beautiful and interesting, but I'm afraid I'd be cooked in no time and getting died of apoplexy there. It's not my place.
First haaa 😂🎉❤
Nice 🤘😁

a gray man would not have patches on him
The greyman concept for me is situational. Were I live and places I frequent are filled with folks that myself and family have known for generations. Everyone is armed, ready, and geared up in this small town. I do have a property investment that I live in outside of a primary residence that's not shown on YT, which is Greyman all the way. I do keep a kit/bag/clothing in my vehicle that's modked after the grey man theory.
Awesome video. I would add clean underwear, it's a woman thing. Thank you.
Thank you, Susan! 😊
In a SHTF, I'll be going commando😂
@@hoosierpioneer 😆🤘
Basically this is ghb, for which it's good. As an edc it's a total overkill. Not gonna carry on you all day long. 2. Too militaristically looking.
I understand your perspective. In my small town, I look like everyone else. Everyone is in hunting, tactical, outdoor attire from their bags, trucks, clothing, and so on. The 3lb bag is very comfortable to carry for me personally as everyone has different needs and expectations of what EDC is and what should be carried. I do admit everything I do is overkill. I've unfortunately been in situations whereas I wish I had the gear I carry today. I should do a video of my GHD/Truck bag. It comes in at a little over 18 lbs.
@GreyManPrepping I end up with echelons . A. On my body - EDC. b. Waist bag - enhanced edc. It might go with me to a store or whatever I do or stay in the car. C. Maxpedition shoulder bag - similar to yours plus some tools. Acts as ghb. D. Large bob and/or ghb that I take if I drive away 50+ miles away. I just realize while everything is good to have but most likely I will end up with what on me. So I learn to estimate the risks involved and grab what I think I will need (except echelon a, that is always on me). Hope it makes sense. Thanks!
good tip for the salt...can carry most of that in cargo pants
Great suggestion. Love my cargo pants. The only issue is when myself and my group and I get kitted up, some items bounce around a bit too much for my liking.
You forgot a clean pair of underwear
I was unsure if folks wanted to see my underwear, lol 😆 I guess I could've mentioned it 😅
@@GreyManPrepping remember what ya said Grey? 1 is none and 2 is 1. So you have 1 pair on and none for backup...lol Never know when it hits and don't forget 2 rolls of TP with 2 pairs of undies! 🤣🤣🤣It's all in good humor my friend, have a great weekend. 😅
I guess I think of EDC as more like what can I carry on my person, no bag or kit. It's a bare bones you're in a situation with nothing but whatever is on your body. Next level for me would be something like what you have minus the technology pieces (except cell phone charger) and less combat type medical supplies. Stuff that I carry in my shoulder bag with my wallet and first aid medical. Next level for me is bug out/get home bag and finally not coming home bag with lots of stuff for maybe weeks on the road. Have to revise it. It's too heavy if have to be on foot.
Most folks look at EDC in several ways since my shoulder bag is with me everywhere I go. I consider it EDC. I pack it thinking, what if I can get to my truck with my get home bag. Over the years, I've reduced the weight of my bags dramatically as I'm not getting any younger, lol 😆 Have my GHB down to 14lbs my INCH bag down to abt 29lbs. Compared to my Ruck in the Army, which was around 75-80 lbs. So much more manageable at these weights. Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend! 😁
Great video
Thanks so much, Michelle 🙏
