Those neck fans are SUPER popular, here in Japan. Loads of people wear them out and about. The summer here is sweltering, so the fans are very welcome.
Honestly that is the least offensive neck fan I have ever seen. Living in the southern US where today we have a LOW of 92, you see people wearing these personal cooling devices A LOT in public. particularly at outdoor sporting events like kids soccer games. And most of the time they are just 2 dorky fans on a bendy neck support.
Jon with those glasses and the white wig at one point you had a touch of the Savilles, all that was missing was a cigar and "now then, now then" not a good look lol. Tech wise I've got smaller power banks than that wallet..... And at that price I'd rather elastic band my cash and cards to a Anker power bank, more useful. Great video, mostly naff tech lol
I have the Ranvoo neck fan and I love it. It gets really humid and hot where I am (South Dakota, US), and it's wonderful when doing outside work like mowing the lawn. I'm looking forward to trying it in the winter. As someone who gives 0 craps about what someone else thinks of it, I have no problem wearing it wherever I want to be comfortable.
i have had the Keyport system for over 5 years and i can tell you the rubber on the Keyport can last anywhere from 8-months to 3-years before it snaps depends on if it was "heat treated properly" according to Keyport that they told me is the only reason as to why they break early. i bought a 1st gen that has metal joints instead and the expansion kit to hold more keys that i am currently testing how long it lasts to see if its roughly the same or better. since i have had the one with the rubber break on me 2 times. the only feedback i have seen about the 1st gen having problems is the rotating joint for the keyhole breaking and isn't replaceable. but they have replaceable parts for their slide 4.0 but their slide 4.0 seems to have problems holding and releasing face plates.
Great video, Jon! These are some unique EDC carry accessories that provide a nice level of practicality for any loadout; but the portable neck fan would be a real godsend during the summer hear, especially in the more humid parts of the country. - Justin @ Vanquest
The problem with pacsafe, especially the bags, is that there are always large areas which aren't covered by the mesh. 1 slice with a box cutter is all it takes to get in (I've cut through multiple ones myself). Important to remember that these security features are mainly deterrents.
Would be awesome if you could do review videos on the entire Casio Protrek line of wrist watches. There is a fair bit of feature complexity to dismantle, I think it should be fun. Cheers! 🍻
Couldn't have survived the Paris summer weather without a neck fan. The dual heat/cooling version is going to be even better because it can be used for watching outdoor winter sports as well.
Regarding the Larq, I worry that the filter and UVC disinfection work at cross purposes. Contaminated water could get drawn into the filter, where it would not be exposed to the UV light.
We moved house last year, and ended up needing to carry four keys (front and back doors, two sets of patio doors) so I started using a key keeper, and was musing on adding a prybar,.... maybe I'll just upgrade to the keyport.
Wow have 2 pacsafe slings and a crossbody bag. Regretting having spent so much money, clearly the strap is its Achilles heel. Will stick with my tomtoc sling. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Hi Jon, first off I really get a lot out of the approach you guys take to the channel. At the moment I am interested in cycle gear (lightweight locks and chains) Any ideas, these things are heavy😊
The Fatty Pack is an idea that an Etsy maker could pick-up on, or a home sewer. Then there'd be no awkward brand name. The bottle was about the price I guessed, but it'll definitely last and see lots of use!
Love your videos! Are there any completely UK legal multi tools out there that don’t require you to cut your arm or leg off to purchase? I’m new to EDC Multitools so don’t want to spend out on a leatherman
I’m really curious about the new specs Jon. Can you include a mention in your next vid please? Maybe with comment on the amber lenses as I’m seeing them a lot lately.
A water bottle app, so a portable tablet computer (masquerading as a phone) can tell me when to drink. This is peak ridiculousness. When I used to go outside all day with no bike helmet, we drank from a garden hose at the side of a house. We knew when to drink. When we were thirsty.
Hi there, can you please recommend a simple but solid head lamp that works with batteries? I need mine rarely and do not want to worry about having to charge it. Would really appreciate your help! Thanks, Frank
Love your videos. Always manage to show unique items that i never see elsewhere. I wanted to ask how did you get the Vessi weekender shoes you had in a previous video. As far as i can see its USA shipping only? Thanks :)
Thanks for the video. Yet again, the Amazon links don't work and the others get flagged/blocked by the browsers anti-tracking. Please investigate this as it seems to happen on all your videos.
Have you seen the “COMPACT DARK WAVE EXCLUSIVE EDITION 2024” ? It listed on the Victorinox website at an obscene price I ask because I know you are fond of the compact model.
You said UV-C kills 99,999%.. marketing texts are sometimes a bit tricky, so I have to ask. Does this particular bottle kill 99,99% as well or is this just about UV-C in general?
I kind of assume that some purchasers will modify the comb to something much harder to justify legally. That would be why it is such a poor comb and made of a steel suitable for a knife.
The problem with water filters is that one has to manage the mold. I rather buy bottled water than having to check if my water filter is still safe to use. Except if I'm out in the wilderness. Then I would use a proven lightweight solution instead. To the rest of the gimmicks - a spring-knife type comb? Come on Jon, you used to have great content on your channel.
You could just take the comb and use a grinder to sharpen it into a blade or a shiv and then now you’ve got a UK legal knife. Because if they look at it on the website, they’ll just think it’s a comb.😂
Any money the coppaz are gonna confiscate that OTF comb.... BTW just curious, what were those super-scissors? I've never seen anything like those before.
That wallet is way too bulky. And absurdly priced. May as well carve out a slot in a brick and carry that around instead. It's more economical and has the same effect.
@JonGadget it's to disconnect the modules or faceplate on the outer area of the key organizer. You can use a screwdriver or other tool but the rush tool works better. I love my pivot! They have a car escape tool as well that I just got
My favorite channel just got better and better!
I wish more edc channel was this entertaining and informative!
Thanks for this nice collection of funny, useful and even strange EDC items. Great job as always, guys! Simply love it.
the fatty pack is obviously for a joint
There is a 0% chance that it is for anything but a joint. Cool concert idea. A sock works just as well though. Even a pocket at most venues will do.
I must be out of touch - never even thought of that

That’s the same comment I got on the cache cap by Wazoo! Asked around Reddit what would they put in it and everyone thought about 🌿🌿

BIG thank you to you for this one. PureVis 2 is a game-changer. Glad you love it!
I absolutely definitely do not want to be able to connect my water bottle to an app. But otherwise looks like a good product.
Works fine without it 👍
Why?
@@ReVaVortexread 1984 to get an idea. It's not boring, buy it today.
i wonder why people today need an app to be reminded to drink... i don't know how humanity survived by simply relying on the thirst....!?

Very entertaining episode. Destroying the Fanny pack was hilarious

Tell me more about the scissors! 🤣😂🤣😂
I second the motion. 😂
I see there is a link for them in the description. Miller KS-1 yellow fiber optic Kevlar scissors.
😎👍
I work in fibre optics, we use these scissors as they are designed to cut the Kevlar strands in the sheathing. They do it extremely well 👍
yes - they are designed to cut strong fibres - Miller KS-1 - very effective in this case!

I love the unusual tech! I also liked seeing the 'fanny' pack get tested to failure.
The larq purevis 2 is only on pre order but it does look intetesting
The Fanny pack and comb segments are why I love this channel.
Good to know 👍
That comb would actually be pretty useful for cleaning vacuum brushes 😅
Yes! I knew it had an application for something.
I wouldn't agree with Jamie that it's "harmless", either.

That part where you get handed the pen was hilarious! :D
Yes it was! Love that Keyport Pivot BTW. Have two of them, both with outer flashlight and outer charging cable modules.
I love your videos, addicted! Would love to see a sophisticated EDC for women. But not all pink please ❤
Thanks for feedback - will definitely consider 👍
Regarding the Larq, I worry that the filter and UVC disinfection work at cross purposes. Contaminated water could get drawn into the filter, where it would not be exposed to the UV light.
They expect the user to change the filter regularly and pay £9.99 a time to do so.
I love the lauding of Taiwanese quality at 18'42" only for the thing not to work terribly well. Brilliant!
What would one call the thinner bits for screwdrivers?
We're going backwards with some of these edc drops. That metal wallet is ridiculous.

Hi, can you take the water bottle on a plane with your hand luggage??
According to the Larq website, you can as long as it is empty.
I would be careful with the comb, if someone thinks that is a knife, you might end up on the wrong end of a taser…
A little pedantic but that isn't a flick comb its an OTF comb (Out The Front) OTF knives are illegal in the UK as are flick knives
yes it is an OTF comb - and yes OTF knives are illegal in the UK but not OTF Combs I believe
Yea I can foresee someone flicking out his comb and charging at random people in the UK. How terrifying.
