Leave it to Beaver is a great show. I just started watching all of the episodes on NetFlix with the wife.. It's a nice way to wind down the day.
It just like Jerry Mathers says. It not supposed to be a documentary of the 50's. It's a situation comedy. It's a great situation comedy. I like it better than today's set up, set up joke, laugh track stuff.

Loved Wally the perfect big brother...Eddie was cool...However I couldn't stand "Larry"...He got on my nerves!!! He would get Beaver in so much trouble and then bail!!!
    I love the Cleavers!!!

I grew up in the end of the 60's mainly the 70's. But loved LitB, but never took it as reality. More of a fantasy perfect town, perfect average middle class family. Like the Andy Griffith show also in certain ways. Where the parents made mistakes too. The fathers most of the time when they blew their tops. Would admit they were wrong too. Dream dads, not reality in most cases.

Eddie Haskell was more reality than the Beav.
