- Tokyo Marui are always being innovative and trying to come up with the next best thing. One of their newest products is a remake of the Pro Hunter. This is the Pro Hunter G and it comes with a sound system not everyone will find useful. Tim tells you about how it all works and if it's really worth it!

TM is known for low fps, and fps is literally like, not very important, it may have 240 fps but any fucking TM will out range any of your guns.

Yup. Not to mention the huge array of upgrade parts available. Get a nice CNC piston, an angel trigger assembly, a good spring and a 500mm tightbore and you'll have a 375-400fps gun with TM's trademark godly range, accuracy, tight grouping and hop up. Most japan guns are in the 200 fps range because that's their field limit usually iirc.
Mabey I'm just salty cause I can't afford one. Your right tom, they are showing a stock gun. All guns need upgrades. But why a sound system? I guess it just comes to why not? TM is a eader in Airsoft innovation. Why not. Not my cup of tea, but I guess I'd call it cool of I owned one.
You definitely get what you pay for with TM products. My mp7 has required no maintenance or replacement since 2004. Shame I sold it to a friend for $50 last year. Looked online and it's selling for a few hundred now. With a high power spring and reinforced internals you can get it shooting at 600fps (the vsr10). Regarding the internal sound system. I really have no idea. It's a... Weird idea. But the fact it's isolated to just you is kinda garbage. I'd take it out and store mags inside the stock tbh.

Yes, but airsoft is about the realism and trying to get the adrenaline rush that real war gives you. If you start adding things like this is just becomes stupid. GBB rifles are way more realistic than this bolt action with some speakers.

get some better headphones and with clearer volume (and also solid, and then you can maybe also make a special request to some brands that could put a camo(some brands do that for stuff like rc cars, guitars and lots of other items)on your headphones to fit your outfit), but for the outside sound, R.I.P tho :/

A Mosin Nagant M38 went off right beside my ear, it only rang for a few hours.

You do not go near deaf when a rifle goes off near you, I had a Mosin Nagant M38 accidentally go off near my ear a few months ago and it only range for a few hours.

The sound system could work to your advantage being able to reach 10m put it a distance away from you,hide,wait for some one to come by shoot a few times to get him over to the noise box and bang he's dead.

everyone! FPS DOES NOT EFFECT RANGE!!! Good lord if i have a dollar for everytime someone compared fps to range i would be a multibillionaire. You have 3 factors here, speed, acceleration, and force, simple kinematics. just because your speed is low, it does not mean it will not get there, it just wont get there as fast. if you have a gun that has 400 fps and a gun that has 250 fps they could have the same exact range, its just that the gun with 400 fps will get there faster. now with force, spring energy equation is 1/2(kx^2) this equation will determine the strength of a spring and how much force is applied to it. this equation can say that the gun with 250 fps could have a range of 300ft and the gun with 400fps could only shoot 150 ft. now that the physics lesson is over we can enjoy airsoft again, no more need for arguing these are the stone hard facts
You are wrong, because the speed the BB comes out of the barrel is directly related to the force applied to it. The BB's being the control, say at .2 would take the same amount of force to get them moving at 400 fps. obviously heavier BB's are going to take more force. Ofcourse there are other things other than fps that account for accurace, such as the weight of the BB but in this case that is the control a control and the only variable is the force applied. Just saying, you are wrong and need to go back to your glorified 9th grade physics class good sir :P
Shawn Ritchie no i have to say while you are correct on the fact that a heavier BB will take more force to move out of the barrel but that is a totally different matter you are talking about muzzle velocity(which controls fps) while in a 2d kinematics scenario would be your initial velocity, and while force plays a big factor, it is controlled by the spring compression, length of the spring, and the power that the piston is putting out as well, while yes in most cases would increase the fps while increasing the range, you could have a weapon witch low a low muzzle and air velocity and have still have the same range. and by the way, i have a BS in mechanical engineering from Old Dominion University:)....just let me know if you want to see a picture of that diploma bud:)
Jason Fulcher You said it yourself. The more energy the bb has, the farther it will fly. Upgrading a spring in a marui will undoubtedly give it more range than its stock version.
The problem here is that people are confusing the range of a gun with its accuracy. When it comes to airsoft, and higher quality setup with consistent compression and hop will "outrange" even the guns with the highest fps (and crappy consistency).

that's why you have a hopup system you dumb fuck. a hopup systems adds range!
the purpose of a hopup is to put backspin on the bb. that backspin determines how much further the bb will go. range is determined by the amount off backspin you apply to the bb. accuracy is determined by the barrel and proper amount of backspin you apply to the bb. sure, you can have a rifle set to 500fps, but without the hopup system, it'll be horridly inaccurate as well as out ranged by the same rifle if it did have the hopup set correctly.
quinn foley Have you ever fired a Tokyo Marui gun? It easily out-ranges most of its competitors, despite its low FPS. FPS means almost nothing to range. It's all about the hop-up.

Perfect for sniper elite roleplay tell people to defend something and to prepare for lots of people to come but secretly hide one person with this and since it has the sound system people could hear you like in the game.
They should create a suppressor that makes those sounds when the BBs fly trough. If it also creates some kind of flash this would probably become the most famous softair suppressor ever.

what the point of having the silentser when you can turn the volume down
the silencer makes a difference when there is no "gun sound". since it is a spring gun theres no bolt going back making the sound so the only sound you hear when you turn the volume down is the click of the trigger and the bb being shot out the barrel, when the silencer is put on you can only hear the trigger.

Vector silencers on airsoft guns don't do anything unless you are using polarstar.
i personally own a VSR10 and the sound dampens, being 5 years into airsoft im pretty sure the sound is dampened with a spring gun liek this, the guns that dont work would be an AEG whcih you hear the gears winding up and a GBB(R) which you have the bolt slamming back and forth

This is cool, but so stupid for a war, no offense. It's shiny, it would reflect in sunlight, so the enemies could see u, and the sound system. Srsly? Sniper is stealth and quiet, not a whole 3 triple a batteries worth of noise. It would give you're position away as well. It looks like a cool gun for movies or prop, it would'nt help you in a war at all.

i doubt many people who actually skirmish are going to get this. why spend the time and effort to paint a chrome gun..? especially since it would likely take many more coats of paint than a standard aluminum outer barrel would.And the sound system could likely be disconnected, making a small compartment in the stock for stuff. (mags, bb's, water..) I'm not sure how much this costs, guessing around 600. Definitely not worth the price, even if it's a tm.

I'd probably just go for the tm g-spec because i've got a G&G R8-L and that is firing at 330-340 or more and the only upgrade I have for it is a new hop up bucking.
For $380 you could just buy a savage 110 in .300 win mag and have yourself a real rifle instead of this goofy toy.
This is made for the Japanese market. They cannot buy real guns so easily which is why this gun is selling well there.

Well, not necessarily. Lower fps doesn't mean it's more accurate out of box. He even said you should change the spring and inner barrel.
It doesn't, but the Marui VSR-10 in particular has incredible range at 280 FPS.

When talking about novelties... Those flash tracer units look really cool on gas guns and are a nice and fun concept, especially for night games. This is just... Sad, my dude. AEG already sounds kind of like a shot being fired, without going deaf.

Tokyo Marui is a Japanese company, and Japan has much stricter laws on model/airsoft weapons. The low FPS is a result of those laws...

MY SCAR runs between 1,350 FPS (frangible ammo) and 2,750 FPS (Ball Ammo). I win.

celerymeat I was referencing to the ballistics of the 7.62x51 Nato round. Airsoft toys are good for practis at low cost as long as you have a gun that's ergonomics are the same as the one you use in the real world (and it's fun going out with people who know how to use real world tactics and schooling all the kids haha). So no, I was referencing my real SCAR not the airsoft one lol.

yeeeeah tokyo marui really dropped the ball with this gimmick, glad to see RWTV are aware of that fact though
The reason it has gun sounds is because Japan has extremely strict laws against firearms and replica of the sort, so Tokyo Marui (and alot of other Japanese/Taiwanese manufacturers) do their best to mimic real firearms as much as possible. Even replica guns that don't fire anything are popular over there.
You can shoot the gun and use the sound receiver as a decoy to distract the enemy team
