For me, the G28 is the better choice. So sad that VFC don't clone the S&B Scope. This would make this replica complete.

5 years late lol but kitagawa made a replica pmii s&b and it really does complete the look especially with the crusader monolithic suppressor! I’ve got the set and it’s BY FAR my favorite replica. Albeit the most expensive.. prices skyrocketed after being discontinued.

It’s a shame g28s and all their respective equipment is largely discontinued it looks so magnificent especially when it’s complete like ours, I wish more people had the chance to get their hands on them bc in my opinion it’s one of if not the nicest replicas in terms of external quality.

Hey, I admit, I'm the first guy to bash "just another M4", which the Mk12 basically is but if I have to choose between these two, it's a no brainer, the G28 is too pricey and too heavy. You don't need the fancy rings either, for a few bucks you can buy a ring that has a rail on top, so you can have a red dot on the Mk12 too. The Mk12 holds more rounds in one mag and the gas efficiency... well, these guys only talk about how many BBs/mag but they never talk about how many mags/green gas can. If I had to guess, I'd say it would be a similar value for BBs/green gas can, or maybe the Mk12 would win.
I've only seen the AEG G28 and even though its a really nice gun the price tag is outrageous for a AEG and the many different colors are hard to get over
I love the mk12 but the g28 has a very practical hop up adjustment and it is convenient for adjusting. That is enough for me to choose the g28.

I'm finally planning to buy a VFC mk12, i've been having a hard time finding any good reviews in the internet, and i mean a really hard time.
I did find 2 reviews from some Canadian forum(i'm from the Philippines), but i highly doubt their credibility when they recommended that a WE is a much better choice, and almost everyone in the thread all agreed with the WE choice.
I for one know that a WE is a more affordable mid-end GBBR, low-ends are JG and AGM. While VFC, GHK, TM, Inokatsu and others are in the same field.
I hope the lack of review in the internet means that noone's complaining about their VFCs.
Most of the modern VFC guns are awesome. I assume you wont see many reviews cause theyre $$$ add 6 or 7 mags and your up for 700 plus bucks!... ive had a gen2 HK416 for a few years. Played multiple games with it never had any issues except for when it was brand new had some mag seating issues on one mag particular out of the 8 i own.. all gone now the gun is worn in. Just ordered this mk12 for 299 on sale!! Best part is my HK416 mags fit the mk12!! wooohooo!
Let's make a quicker comparaison : the Mk12 is just an other boring M4 variant (and doesn't even use a DMR caliber), the G28 is a beautiful, very special and rare HK417 variant

For aggressive sniping gameplay and OBJ defense I'd want the g28. As for being on the attack, moving around consistently and Guerrilla tactic like Warfare I'd want the mark 12 as its lighter and carries 10 more rounds.

Milsim events wouldn't let you call the MK12 a DMR because in the real steel world it would chamber 5.56 or .223 and DMR would need to be chambered in .308
isaac shively Technically any semi auto rifle that is used for the engagement range gap between infantry small arms rifles and dedicated precision sniper systems can be classified as a DMR. It doesn’t have to be chambered in 7.62 nato to be a DMR.
@@isaacshively6705, not true. In the REAL world, the Mk12 IS a DMR. My buddy carried one for real in Iraq. He was a Squad Designated Marksman. Ergo, the Mk12 IS a DMR.
Man, you should really talk about the important stuff. Which type of bucking and barrels are compatible with it? (VSR cut or gtfo!) Which internal parts are steel?
VFC GBBRs have been historically bad performers because of crappy hops, and really prone to malfunctions due to design issues and pot metal internals. Have they stepped up their game, or is it still just good looks? That's what we really want to know.

did they ever make a full length barrel H&K 417 DMR? been waiting literally for years for them to do it right... still not probs.

Weigh your mags empty and full. That way you'd know how much gas can them take, and you can talk about something similar to "efficiency", and not just mileage

The Mk.12 really only clocks in at 439usd. Most higher-end AEGs (like Krytac or VFC), costs that much here in Scandinavia.

Im confused.. when searching for Umarex G28 GGB several pages including video clips from 2016 pops up but in the first section of the reviewing of the G28 in this video Tim talks as if its just been released and mentions the wait has been two and a half years. Was it actually released in 2016 or is this a brand new model of the same concept?
I think they need a new comparison vid but instead of the mk12, the m110 or sr25 will be featured against the g28

Have you guys done a review on the g&g tr16 a5? Trying to decide between that and the vfc scar l but having a hard time finding any info to compare the two
G28 sound better as well. If you bother with GBBR's, that's important.
Elestro Air-soft indeed cycling and recoil were impressive on the G28. The large gas reserve means that the cycling action is very solid.

StickmanAirsoft PH actually, some milsims do care about the real version of ur gun. So, in a milsim, you won't see a person in a US army uniform, holding an AK74. Also, they have rules about DMRs too. For example, if you get an M4 carbine with a scope and a bipod, they won't let you use it as a sniper. M4 carbines use 5.56 (I think, but I forgot exactly what their caliber is). However, if you get something such as a SCAR H, they will let u use it as a sniper. The SCAR H uses 7.62 (.308).

your accuracy tests are flawed. You need to be in an indoor range (= no wind) and using a 3 - 4 point gun rest vise for true accuract

The colour combination is not bad, but the colour of the reciever really hurts my eyes.
MK12, it has a standard v2 gearbox. More potential for upgrades vs the G28.

This is a question that I've had on my mind for a year now!!!!
My air-gun hobby is collecting & displaying replica weapons in my cave ...of course ...I shoot them all & we enjoy target shooting & plinking. All of them are BB's or pellets. All will blow holes in cans (most within 100 feet or so). Now that the Air-Soft industry is making wildly nice things like the G28 ...I want one. However; plastic BB's will not put holes in cans & the light weight make them less potent. Then there is the in-accuracy of round shot BB's.
I have a question ...can anyone tell me if you can shoot 6 mm steel ball bearings through these rifles ...like the G28? ...or any other air-soft rifle for that matter? Has anyone tried? And what were the results? ...thanks
James J Hargreaves I don't think so. Most pellet guns use CO2, which has a lot more PSI than propane/green gas. Mags also are made to use plastic BBs, not metal ones. However the 6mm steel ball bearings are also more rough and less polished than BBs for airsoft. This would also ruin the internals. You can try it yourself with a cheap GBB or GBBR off Evike or some other store.
Thanks my friend ...Help me with this one then if you can. Do any of the popular Air Soft companies ...such as Umarex ...plan on issuing Air Soft models in pellet gun form. I'm familiar with Umarex & own some. But I want THIS G28 in .22 caliber pellet ...PCP powered. For THAT I'd readily pay the $2,500.
I assume the air-soft guns will just not have enough compression to fire something as heavy as a steel bearing. However; high quality bearings for critical use ARE polished & are perfect sphere's or ...they wil just not work in certain applications.
