I was there had a great time. I hope to see this done once a year. I didnt bring any vehicles home but brought home some parts I needed and was about to order for my builds. Great work on the event thanks for supporting the square body community.
The " Gentleman Jim" wow, the last time I saw one of those was at the New York state fair here in Syracuse NY. It was 1980 , I was 12 but I remember how cool I thought that truck was and still do.Thank you .
Those are sweet looking trucks, my dad always bought GMC trucks , one of my favorites as a kid was a 1972 GMC truck yellow with white long bed....love the square bodys
You sir have a very nice set up. I absolutely love these old square body trucks. I personally have a 1982 k10 lwb Scottsdale 4x4. You had one truck on your lot right up against the fence that you didn't talk about. It is the gold and tan truck. My truck is same color with original paint. My dad had one just like it, same color scheme. Everytime I drive the old truck it brings back childhood memories of myself and my pops..
I will take that spirit of 76 with the Honda 200x in the back lol, I wish. That's one hell of a collection. I currently have a 81 and 85 k5 Blazer but nothing like any of these and honestly unless something crazy happened they will never be this nice. I'd be happy just to have them running good and reliable.
I have the same 1973 K10 to this day that I learned to drive in it around 12 years old. Years later I was an Abram's tank driver in the US Army and was a natural at it. My theory is that a kid looking over the hood of a square body has to really pay attention to the ruts of the road before you lose visual with it. Driving a tank through periscopes is the same way, you have to remember what you see before the vehicles negotiates the terrain and actually drive through what you already saw but can't see anymore.
Thats one hell of an impressive collection. Im in the process of building a 77 K10. Its factory Colonial yellow. Ive been thinking about doing a Desert Fox Edition. But now im thinking of going with the Colonial yellow and doing sort of a 70’s multi colored ribbon stripes instead. Seems the 70’s paint schemes are very sought after.
The rare trucks are the GMC with Chevrolet Badges or Steering wheel the dealer would correct before being sold, same with the Chevy truck and GMC badges.
I just wondered onto this site. I missed the auction by a day but after looking at those rusty ones I'm curious to see what the values are. I never thought these square bodies would be collectable. I sat in a couple new Chalet's in Tucson but being in the military it was unaffordable. Ended up buying a new Silverado 4X4. I think it's time for me to start unloading my Nevada rust free square bodies. Been concentrating on my Ford's since they have gone crazy in value. How often do they have these auctions?
I have a 76 half ton short stepside, factory 454, 4 speed, 12 bolt. Big brakes, am,fm, factory gm cb is still in it too. Motor was built in 92 , and I've broke 3 different car close ratio 4speeds,( not built, can't handle big block torque)need a Muncie or something more modern. Just building it out of other peoples leftovers, so flat black is it, the interior is beautiful, but maroon... but I'm going to imitate the desert fox strips in 3 colors of red paint some day.......
I never heard you mention if any had the factory tac dash and the small fuel gauge on the side with the temp an oil, amp gauges?? Surely you have a parts dash with that set up and wiring complete as they are definitely different.
I have a 88 c30 custom deluxe single cab it was a cab and chassis it had a utility box on the back and it's a dually I changed out the rear end to a 74 Dana,70 posi Trac and have a 74 dually bed on it the bed is to short for the chassis not sure about what I have to do in order to fix that problem but this truck only has 63,730 original miles the only real issue I ran into is trying to figure out the wiring for the taillights and instead of running the duel tanks I am going with single tank and I don't know a lot about the wiring on the fuel tank and the dana70 has 4.11 gear ratio and it's a 2wd the inside is super clean and picked it up for 600 bucks just kinda curious how much something like that is worth
True they aren't simple trucks anymore. Now they are made with crap materials and have a computer in every part of the truck. Good luck trying to work on one.
One my favorite trucks for sure years ago INE the nineties my parents bought one in super great condition from the owner of our local gmc dealership he was the one owner great deal well taken care of beauty well my older brother that was in his late twenties would bug my parents to let him have it my parents would tell him no that my dad had already given him a cheve luv in California then another cheve four door in Texas of course my brother always got mad would talk trash and bullied me well few years go by I’m now a freshman in high school and my dad tells me it’s my truck now and as soon I get a permit I can take it out the excitement I had I don’t think I slept for days just wanted to wash and look at it well my brother gets it in his mind one day to bug my dad hey let me take the truck up to the mountains to get some snow of course my dad was down with that so my brother and brother in law at the time went up but the truck didn’t make it back home totaled he said there was a man pissing by the road he had to avoid and hit the wall but I knew the truth he was always jealous of me and my dad relationship so totaled the truck on purpose sad to say that’s still not the worst thing he’s done to me and my parents not even close but that my friends is another story

THIS is why everyone needs a BIG rainy day fund 👍 Please have a replay of the auction available if you do video 😉
That spirit of 76 is the best looking truck I've seen in a very long time.
I take it like a bicentennial edition?
Pretty neat trucks
The " Gentleman Jim" wow, the last time I saw one of those was at the New York state fair here in Syracuse NY. It was 1980 , I was 12 but I remember how cool I thought that truck was and still do.Thank you .

I currently have a 81 and 85 k5 Blazer but nothing like any of these and honestly unless something crazy happened they will never be this nice. I'd be happy just to have them running good and reliable.

All these Chevrolet trucks and blazers look freaking sweet, my dad owned a 83 short box maroon, I also want to own one too one day 😎
Wow 😲 what a collection my favorite cars all together

Damn it, now I see this!!!!!
I would have bid on a few of them!
Love it!! I have a 78' Chevy bonanza c10. Runs very good! Blowing cold AC!
A square body that's pretty hard too find is an crew cab four-wheel drive dually (k30 or v30) I would say it's pretty rare anymore along with 2wd k5s
I am surprised there are not any CUCV's there. The CUCV's are rare as well. Neat to see all those square body trucks.
I love these ,I'm rebuilding a 80 3/4 and 86 heavy half 4by4 wrangler

Some of those, like that 87 went for STUPID>>>STUPID money.

When a truck was a truck
True they aren't simple trucks anymore. Now they are made with crap materials and have a computer in every part of the truck. Good luck trying to work on one.
Rich people auction for rich people. We don't get to enjoy classic cars anymore
Yeah that is true
A square body truck is a chevy or gmc truck made from 1973 to 1987 anything after that is not a square body.
rare
Suburbans did not come original 4 x 4 with big blocks, 85 trucks did not come stock with 350
Dont bother, most of what they show is already sold.
Yeah the auction is over now very few trucks didn't sell.
@@restoreamusclecar Everyone I went to view said SOLD.
Day late dollar short
Landrovers indestructible? 🤣
👍👍👍🇺🇸🇨🇺

So much RUSTED stuff
When we were kids, those 3 wheelers did some damage to us. Fun but they tip real easy 🙃
