    Iv'e owned several of these cars in my 73 years. Had one of the the first Camaro's in my home town of Monroe, Louisiana. Saved my money from my first tour in Vietnam (66-67) and bought it. It was the S model. Cost me $2,600 brand new. Drove it for a year and traded it in on a new 68 Camaro Rally Sport with a 327 cu. in. high performance engine. That cost was about $3,800 if I remember correctly. Finally ended up with a new 69 Camaro SS 396 for $5,200.
    Then I got married and the fun cars went away. Drove a Opel Cadette station wagon with curtains in the window...thanks to my new wife. Oh well, I was able to keep my Harley's all these years!

      My brother is 74, in VN 66-67. Army artillery. Got a lot of VC all straightened out with the Lord. Came home and got a near new 67 SS, 350, Muncie, virtually no other options. Built to 383, amazing fast. Gooood memories.

      it depends on the quality of the restoration and the parts put into it. Are they numbers matching and OE or do they use aftermarket parts?
      A few of them have non-oe equipment and as much as that adds pinache, it actually detracts from the real value of a good straight numbers matching car with all OE equipment.
      If you watch the Barrett Jackson auctions, the "restored" all original or "unrestored in great condition" muscle cars bring 100's of thousands of dollars. The customized bring 1/10th that. I saw a 57 bell air that had $200K worth of work done to it, big block, blower, suspension, brought $76K. An all original restored one brought $250K

      @muskokamike127 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Johnpinckney98 Don't get me wrong, if I got my hands on a good body/interior I'd upgrade the suspension, drivetrain, steering etc. With a modern 5L V8 you'd get great fuel econ and more HP, better handling with modern suspension and better stopping. I'm not a purist by a long shot although they are nice to see with all original factory marks and stickers etc.

    When cars were individualized and not copycats of each other. My first new car was a 69' Camaro right off the showroom floor. Maroon with black interior. Standard trans. Complete with beauty rings and half moons 😁. My boss at the Chevy dealership in Ohio stayed late with me one night to install an 8-track player on the console. First tapes? CCR. And who can forget the Steve McQueen classic "Bullitt" ? My father had a 60' Impala and a 67' Black Chevy Pick-Up.

    Prices appear to be pretty reasonable from what I can see of the outside of the cars. No idea what the power trains look like though, but have a feeling they would be a good start for resto-rods or some for restoration maybe. I see tons of things that are not correct though like wrong lights, bumpers, wheels, seats, upholstry etc. but for the price that's ok for me. Lots of great project cars. Wish I was closer to this place.

      I am with you, looks to me like they have a decent paint shop getting things to look okay. Nothing wrong with low priced entry level cars, but buyer beware. I see a lot of panel fit issues. AGAIN not a big deal they aren't claiming numbers matching cars just some decent entry level hot rods to drive and enjoy.

    You owe me money for several new phones ! I wasn't sure at first why my phones were dying after watching your videos but I figured it out !!!
    Excessive drooling is no different than dropping it into the sink according to the guy at the sprint store .
    When I asked if he would replace my phones he told me to have you replace them since it's your fault for making me drool !!!
    I will settle out of court for that blue and black Ranchero in the front corner .

      If the GSX is legit, it's a less than one thousand produced car, regardless of model year. Only made then for three model years, one of which (1970) was a 'half year' production as the GSX debuted late in the model year. The featured car is not a '70. Can't decide if it's a '71 or a '72, it has cues of both years. Pretty darned rare car if it's a real GSX.

      Again, if it's legit. How many real Yenko Super Cars do you expect to see outside on a lot in 2019? A basic sniff test says "none". I have no problem with tribute cars, in fact I have made one because the real thing was too valuable and even if I could afford it, I wouldn't drive it. But when buying any car becasue of its pedigree or heritage or it's status or especially collectibility, you MUST assume that you yourself have to prove it's legit to justify the price. I'd put 100 dollars on it being a tribute car.

    Bought a 69 Chevelle for $600.00, it was in a hangar at the local airport in the early 90's. According to the VIN number it came out so late in 69 it was actually a 70 year model. It only had the 307 engine but it ran good. I miss that car.
