Thank you for the video and the size comparison--the side-by-side pen lineup is so helpful. That pink is my favorite pink, and pink is my favorite color! Thinking this might be a good holiday present to myself!
I love TWSBI pens as well. I like low maintenance, non-fussy writing tools, so I love being able to see the ink level and color from the outside. I don't have to remember when it was last filled and with what. The ink doesn't dry up and flushes out well. They write smooth and are budget- friendly, too!
I love it when you exclaim 'how cute they are together!' when you place the Kaweco. :) I agree. I do collect pocket pens, and they are certainly cute! I do like this new Sailor. Screw to post can be a bit irksome, so if I'm writing longer and will need to pause for thought, I favour my Sport, as it's easier to recap, and less prone to drying.
Hahah they’re so cute! XD Easy recap is really nice, I’m glad they made that change. It’s a pen I feel I’d recommend now. Was a bit on the fence prior.
they are so cute!i just got my first fountain pen last week which is a lamy safari and i’m loving ittt and hopefully in the future i’ll get a sailor they’re so beautiful🧡
Oh I love them, they’re so cute. I like the changes with the new line. Sailor Mini is on my wishlist for sure! I was going to get one for myself this month and then the Pro Gear Angel’s Delight happened, so maybe for Christmas 😂
OMG these are so beautiful. I almost fell off my chair when I went to check it out.... maybe down the line.I am now too in love with small fountain pens. Kaweco is my favorite because its the only one I have. actually and pilot kakuno. I think they are amazing. Never tried the twsbi.
Haha yeah, it’s a big leap, and it’s crazy - I was just showing my partner an $8,000 fountain pen... it’s absolutely absurd, haha. Twsbi is great, if you’re ever in the market, I recommend them. The mini is a really nice size, and will carry a ton of ink.
I really enjoy your videos so much, your energy is so peaceful ahahaha. It's funny because I really love the size and feel of the Twsbi Eco, so I wonder how I would do with one of these pocket pens, if I would find them too small or discover an appreciation for their subtlety. Thanks for the video!
My go-to pen is still the first TWSBI Eco I got, a translucent orange in fine. I did recently get a Lamy Safari, which I love, but I haven't used it a lot lately. The Pelikan M400 is one of my grail pens! I love how they look. Basically all of the Pelikans look amazing to me. A little out of my price range, alas.
The mini converters for the Sailor Mini is teeny, holds almost no ink. I am using the Sailor Shikiori cartridges. They come in a cute little 3-pack, nice colors and can be refilled. The Sailor cartridges are quite generous. Goulet Pens has them.
I love TWISBI pens as well, they are so smooth to write with even when taking quick notes. The only problem with them if I find even their fine bibs are too thick for me and lay down too much ink on my moleskine notebook so I tend to use the Kaweco Sport for that so as to avoid page bleed through. The TWISBI pens and my Conklin are great for longer periods of writing though.
You may want to check out the Pilot Prera, Alicia! Beautiful little pen, that is well known for its soothing capping feel! My top two pens that i can't do without now is the Prera, and the TWSBI Eco Rose Gold! Both mid-tier range in pricing, but exudes elegance IMHO to more expensive Gold Nib pens. You should do more FP reviews!!! Really!
I think it mostly comes down to personal preference. I’ve always preferred the twsbi over the Lamy. I like the nibs better, the filling mechanism, and the hardware.
Super cute! I want a sailor in my collection and it’s looking like the mini will be my least expensive option for a gold nib. I love small pens! Do you find that sailors have a lot of feedback?
Some more than others, the hard medium fine nibs found on their pro gear slim and mini is a bit more feel back-y. But, with a little micro mesh, you can easily smooth it out if that’s something that bothers you. They’re not scratchy though, I think that’s an important distinction.
Love Sailor. Great pens, great nibs but was always disliked the fact that the majority of them are cartridge/converter fill. Would love if they incorporated more piston fillers in their line.
@@adventuredenali I believe the mini vac is about .25" longer closed, and around .45" longer posted than the diamond mini. This is what Goulet Pen Co. has. That is why I chose that pen and I live it.
I find the TWSBIs to be aesthetically unappealing (except that you get to see the beautiful ink sloshing around inside) but they are amazing writers. I do love them. I like broad and stub nibs, and TWSBI's are wonderful. I don't have a Sailor. YET. Someday.
@@adityaroy7616 oh that’s such a personal preference honestly. Depends on the person, depends on the pen. I think Diamine makes a great ink regardless. A few of my Diamine favorites are: Ancient Copper, Prussian Blue, Sherwood Green, Oxblood, Rustic Brown, Chocolate Brown, and Eu de Nil.
I hate to be “that guy”. But you’ve made an error in naming the Sailor. It’s he Pro Gear SLIM Mini, not PG Mini. Sailor does make a Pro Gear mini, it’s the thickness and cap design of the pro gear standard but in mini length. It is a rare model but it does exist. So, i suggest you update your tittles. To avoid confusion.
Beautiful, Alicia! And my wishlist grows :) I love the new Morocco colors!
The colors are so marvelous.
I sometimes wish they would have a TWSBI Eco mini version I think it would just be so cute
Oh my god... they need to make that, now!!! That’d be so cute.
I will second that!!! A Twsbi Eco Mini would be such a great addition!!!
Yes then I would get it! 😍

Those are so cute! I love the sailor fountain pens!
They’re pretty adorable

Christmas it is! Maybe then there will be even newer colors available! :o
I dream of the day I can purchase a sailor! They’re so beautiful
I hope that day comes soon for you!
You can find them on Amazon from Japanese sellers for much lower prices....
Great comparison!

The TWSBI mini is a wonderful pen. Works great and good size
@@adventuredenali I’m so obsessed with the kaweco 🤦🏻♀️😆not sure I want to open another door
Thank you for the video. I was confused because there are Pro gear slim mini with and without threads. Now I know why.
Glad it was helpful!
I love the color scheme of those pens makes you wanna buy thema all. And thats one reason I haven´t got any yet. :)
Haha I know, the colors are so beautiful!
Omgoodness I love all those. I have several Kawecos and it surprised me how much I love writing with it. I will have to check out that new Sailor. 😍
They’re pretty great!
Enjoy your little Kawecos, and potential Sailor too!

Only one way to find out! Maybe you’d appreciate a smaller pen that still felt weighty and substantial in your hand.

That’s so awesome! The TWSBI is such a solid pen, period, haha. I hope one day you get to experience a Pelikan m400. It’s a really wonderful pen.
I also have an older and a newer mini love them both
Oh awesome! :D Do you like the changes? Or did it not matter so much for you?
@@adventuredenali I like the changes and will probably buy the taupe if it’s still available

Yeah they’re a great pen. Moleskin notebooks are tricky for fountain pens, I understand the conundrum.
can't wait to get my pro gear slim! I'd love to see a sailor video showing your collection :) I am sure you have some larger ones too?
I do! I’d love to make a video like that soon. :D
I can’t wait to hear all about your pen and what you think. May it fly to you quickly!
@@adventuredenali it's been with the courier all day! AGHHHH I even came home early to get this! I am so impatient :))
I totally agree with you the the twsbis are bulky. The Diamond 580 is more slim, but feels more substantial. I like the Diamond 580 over my ECO
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The diamond is one I’d like to try one day in the future as well.
pretty little pens !
Indeed!
The new Sailor is beautiful and great that it takes a converter. Where did you buy it?

I think so too

Would people recommend the Twisbi over a Lamy pen? xx

With the cap exchanged they awwwwww cute 😀😀
Thanks for showing this change, which I didn't know about. How securely does the new pen post?
Posts really well :)
@@adventuredenali Thanks!
Have you tried either of these as eyedroppers?
Unfortunately they can’t be, the threads inside the body are metal. :/

Thank you Nelson!

Yeah same. It’s hard, because they’re really a fantastic pen. But the visual bulk of them often makes me not reach for mine.
As much as I love your fountain pens, I love the rasp in your voice. btw how is a Lamy Azurite ink?
Haha thank you!
I’ve not had any experience with the Lamy inks yet.
