    Great video. You guys look like you are in great shape, which is key. Many let themselves go after 50. Way to tackle a tricky, but important topic.

    Very useful video! I've been retired for 5.5 years and have no partner as of yet ; however, being plagued with constant pain from old military injuries and secondary conditions makes it hard to even approach women my age 😕! That doesn't mean I no longer think about Sex; I'm focused more on pain management right now! Tried visiting a senior citizen community center, and all they want to discuss is politics; politics; I'm looking to meet and engage socially with folks my own age ! It is important to connect with others ; thank God for my church ⛪️. Please keep updating your channel on TH-cam.

    Thank you for this informative video. It would have been interesting to touch on women and menopausal issues, such as dryness and low libido I believe that is an issue for many, if not most women in the menopause years.

      There is a lot to cover in women’s health and sexual health as we age. We’ve been thinking about perhaps interviewing a specialist in this area. Thank you for the suggestion!

      @@RetirementTransformed I agree! There is a lot to cover! And then, when you try to locate an expert, we tend to have two different camps. We have the pro HRT camp and then the natural camp. It’s not easy for women to know what is best.😀🩵

    I’m 63 and fortunate to be very active sexually, mentally, and in every area including fitness, heavy lifting/weight training and protein-focused nutrition. I’ve also used hormone replacement for 7 years and my hormones will be pried from my cold, dead hands 😉. Somehow, this year, I found a partner who is as active as I am and that is a miracle in my opinion. I plan to retire in 4 to 6 months and I am excited about having time freedom and leaving my very stressful job. I do have autoimmune conditions, but they are all in remission except 1 that is medically treated. This is a great discussion and thank you for it. I just subscribed.

    • @GwenMotoGirl
      @GwenMotoGirl 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@TheMarpalm yes, as I wrote in my comment, hormone replacement: I was on bi-est cream, progesterone, testosterone cream, and DHEA. In Sept 2023, I stopped the creams and changed to pellets. I quit DHEA and progesterone. I feel great. I think (for me) the pellets are better than the topicals.

      @@GwenMotoGirl thank you- I was looking for specifics and that was super helpful! I think this is really important and not talked about enough. And there have been some really bad statistics early on about cancer risks. But I think with the right treatments with the right dosage can basically eliminate those risks. Thank you again.

      @@TheMarpalm I agree! I hate that so many women do not get hormones, and particularly testosterone, because of bad and outdated information. I know that hormones are not for everyone, but we should have a choice based on truthful and current info.

    I recently saw a great idea from another TH-cam video on "scheduling" sex. Instead of going out, having a few drinks, eating dinner, doing whatever activity afterwards, then coming home and being too tired to have sex....switch it up and have sex FIRST...then go out and have fun. This way, you have the dessert first, while your energy levels are best.

    • @RetirementTransformed
      @RetirementTransformed  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think communicating by text on this topic is the best idea. I think its continued face to face private conversations. Take turns talking and practice good listening. Reflect back what you heard. Be kind, gentle, and compassionate. Respond to what you heard and do not react. It make take several sessions.

    The topic that I never see broached is that women are social creatures who tend to share more than appropriate with ther female freinds. Yes I am probably tainted because of bad experienes, but seriously, I thiink that a large amount of women share intimate conversations with thier female friends, most men are aware of this, and most men are reserved on opening up because of this.

    • @glennkarsten2450
      @glennkarsten2450 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lets be real, Any intimate conversatoin you are having with your wife you are really ultimatly sharing with an entire circle of female friends.

    • @RetirementTransformed
      @RetirementTransformed  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That may be the case sometimes, but as a starter try and find someone you trust so that you can have some vulnerable conversation about things running around in your head. And I think asking your wife not to share something should help.
