People need to get serious help before they get into a relationship and drag someone else down. It's not your partner's responsibility to fix your issues because they will become collateral damage. Relationships shouldn't be this complicated.
It's not that perfect though. Some issues don't even surface until you have another person in your life. It's like physics: calculating the movement of one body is far easier and more predictable than two. A true relationship is a paradigm shift, you learn shit about yourself and you behave in ways, good or bad, you never thought you would. What is important is that when you see your partner is hurting, you are willing to seek help and engage in resolving the conflict with them, whether that means sustaining the relationship or not.

The Christian woman needs an actual pastor to help redefine and unlearn what she was taught on marriage, children, sexuality and order in the home. She has her own mental issue of shame for not being celibate prior to marriage and is now making him pay for it in the marriage.
