Fantastic idea Thankyou for sharing it’s costing me a fortune I live in the highlands of Scotland and love feeding the birds but the starlings are bullies and also eat up all the food so quickly this is such a good idea as buying the feeders ready made like this are very expensive x enjoyed watching this Thankyou again x
The top is from a plastic cover from cake you buy at a store but u can use any lid or plastic plate or just put wire but the plastic keeps the rain away
Wow great idea thanks for sharing
6/26/23 Tried your cage & so far only a few blackbirds are hanging around. Thanks for the video, it helped!

Brilliant! And premade cage material!
TY! I live in NY and this year seemed to be worst than even last year with these bully birds.
Fantastic idea ! I’m totally going to do this ! Thanks !
Thanks for pointing out that you can make it yourself. Ones like these at the store are very expensive. 👍
Very😅
Perfect
I just got infested with grsckle and red winged black birds . I'm going to try and make cages for all my feders. Thank you
thanks for the tips
Great idea. The doves like to hog the food.
Great job!
Great job! Where did you get the dome lids?
The dome is from a cake from the store is the plastic cover
You can also use a plastic saucer or the plate you put under a pot or any plastic lid that would fit way cheaper than buying the cage
Great video to learn! Thanks for sharing,What did you use on the top plastic cover? Where we can find it?
The top is from a plastic cover from cake you buy at a store but u can use any lid or plastic plate or just put wire but the plastic keeps the rain away
Brilliant idea thank you 😊
what section of the store do you find this wire. will 2 inches keep starlings and catbirds out.
Not sure what section just ask some one who works there and mine is about 1 in and a half
Where did you purchase that wire mesh from?
Hardware store
Question: where is this mesh available? Been looking for 3 days & can't find
They should have it at your local hardware store
Or amazon
My squirrel climbed down the cage and came up through the bottom!! OR, he squeezed through the holes! So Frustrating.
Wudnt this stop bluejays as well??
It should
Mine still get in with a cage around it so annoying
Yea sometimes there's always one that will find a way lol
Nothing works. Magpies and crows learn to bash the feeder sideways to shake the seed onto the floor. So even with a cage they know how to bypass it.
Get a plastic owl at the sporting good store...will chase the crows away...don't have magoies here in the East.
@@bobbosler4504 I have had an owl for ages. The Magpies couldn’t care less.
From a hard ware store
Yeah I got It at a hardware store
