I know everyone hates hearing this, but imagine if BTB Sentry Defence released with the launch of the game! It's quite similar to Halo 5's warzone, and for me it scratches that PvPvE itch. More content like this please!

@@em-diamond9769game dev is not as simple as that. there are new variables added in something like this that need to be tested, plus other priorities on the road map
Yea sentry defense is really fun. i like how there’s more of a focus on the objective rather than “everyone tryhards to get the most kills and forget the objective” mode. I also like that the mode somewhat encourages teamwork since it takes a lot of power to kill the sentries.
It definitely encourages teamwork which is perfect for Halo. It's a great btb mode, and I love how there's so much going on during a single game. Can't believe it was created by a member of the community!

Sentry defense is really fun plus it has double career xp, if you do 20 kills you earn 4000xp which makes it the most efficient mode for grinding
It doesn't seem like it's important but for those (like me, I have to admit) who play almost exclusively to make it to Hero it adds a variety in the gameplay and makes the grind far more enjoyable

Probably the most chilled out BTB experience we've had in this game, just some nice casual background noise gameplay for me and some friends to chat (and grief eachother) over, its really fun!

hope we get more of these kinds of modes in matchmaking, stuff made by the community that's new or haven't really been part of matchmaking in past games, like sumo or pve/pvpve modes, maybe some pve/pvpve variants of existing modes e.g. oddball
I've played halo infinite since it's release and playing sentry defense is the best objective game that I've enjoyed. Keep up the good work this is a good improvement.
Yea it's a fun game mode forsure. Someone who had played this game competitively over the past years. It's nice to relax while still being sort of competitive
I like the spartan workshop, I've only been playing halo infinite for little over a year so I don't have the cool old stuff. I do wish there was more ways to get spartan points and or the spartan shop wasn't so expensive.
Ive always wanted a PvPvE mode since Warzone and i have made my voice heard. More of this 343. Would love to see some bosses and waves on the map that rewards you with score and power weapons/upgrades to your teams arsenal kinda like Warzone. Warzone was awesome minus the p2w aspect and id love to see more of it.
crazy world to think that much of the Halo community thinks an update with no dev content aside from cosmetics is a win. I know 343 is working on the next Halo project but the situation is actually somewhat sad. Someone please feed this community with actual good food.
Well the community is keeping the game alive at this point. 343 are fully invested on working on Halo 7 but some actual good food would go crazy
Sentry defense has been really fun. Makes me think of Warzone with having that PvPvE game type

This is the 2nd straight operation that included community made modes (juggernaut and ninjanaut in Tenrai 4). Maybe operations will have 1 new community made mode now.
Also, I do like how you can't just mag dump the sentinel. You have to hit its weak points. My first came of this we lost with the enemy team having 4 total hit points.
Eh still kinda weird I’m not sure but I’m not really impressed as it’s still the community making better content then that of 343 the new content is always a usually community made mode, operation or store cosmetics based. They could do a lot better than what has been produced but it’s obvious they have gave up along time ago.
The new game mode is actually so fun and you get 200 exp for each kill. I’ll get Hero rank today only 30k away 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ok the opening shot of this video - that exact sentry. I hate it! When you have to protect it, it doesn’t move! And the enemy has a CLEAR shot from their base. It literally sits there and takes bullets til it dies. Just this map and mode are broken because of that 1 dumb sentry.
Agreed, as someone who really dislikes BTB this has been an absolute blast to play.

I thought the Exchange had some great stuff in it this time. Two nice armor coatings, a cool Vambrace, and some emblems I actually enjoy. I think people who are upset with the one just have overly high expectations, can't lie. It is mostly for old event content, they made that clear.
On the exchange, personally I liked this update. I dipped for a lot of season 2, so this was a second shot at almost all the goodies I missed.
The mode reminds me of Dominion/Warzone. It’s awesome.

I do really like the mode I only have one slight problem and that's the sound effect that plays when your sentinel is being damaged , I don't know about you but it really gets on my nerves for some reason. Lastly did you try out Ignoble if you did what did you think?
I un-installed this a few weeks ago and haven't looked back. I'm holding on to the master chief collection, but Halo 5 and 6 were just plain awful because of management. It's gonna take a lot to bring any of us back. I'll tell ya the same thing I told MintBlitz: Your channel has better traction than Halo at this point.
The only thing I dont like about the new mode, is that in some maps enemies spam ghost shots or similar from far away and deal cheap damage to a sentry, also Wasps should be forbidden in said mode, its disgusting to have just one spawn camping and dealing damage to the sentry as well
Liking the mode a lot! I keep getting matched into games on the same map, though (Deadlock). 😂

Hey Mr.Ghost! I have a question: Didn't 343 add 3rd person view option on the settings on custom games in this update?
This having been a created by a community member and not 343 is completely unsurprising at this point. 343 have done nothing but handicap the franchise since H4 and the hardcore community has carried the games through it all.
I sincerely hope 343 finally takes the hint and listens to people like @FootedGhost for whatever is next.

PvPvE is something I wish more games implemented. It always feels the most casual out of any other playlist (outside of PvE of course).
@@icy1172 With Halo it works particularly better because it has a crazy good PvE part with long-ish TTK, even if they don't want to do a full PvPvE mode imagine a "War" mode where the map is divided into islands where those who matchmake for PvP teams make their matches with various objectives (for example one island is CTF, another is KOTH and they rotate) while in the PvE islands they compete with other teams by gaining points for the team by killing AIs and points who can exchanged to either improve your base with turrets/vehicles/friendly AI or send more enemies to the enemy team islands.
idk if it's just me but with BTB Sentry Defense i feel that SBMM has losened a little, like, 9 of 10 matches i did were chill and i could just mess around, i wasn't getting sniped tryhardly or getting shot by a squad of 4 to 6 dudes across the map, i was actually having fun.
That’s why they need to just add a ranked 8v8 and 12v12 mode, so tryhards can sweat if they want and other people can just relax.
i havent played infinite at all, i used to when they still did full battle passes but ever since the opertations came out, the game really started to feel dry and no worth the time, but the new mode looks really fun! I just wish they didnt go to 20 tier battle passes cause i dont see the use in them and its such a downgrade from just having 50 or 100 tier battle passes, the jackle armor looks cool but it really should've been in the pass

Don't think we'll see a new weapon or vehicle anymore rip. Most of 343 are working on Halo 7 now.
The boss is from campaign and has been in multiplayer since forge added AI. This is just a shitty subpar warzone knockoff. Making mountains out of ant hills yet again. Halo youtubers need to do better and condemn 343 not praise them.
I hate community made maps simply because my xbox cant handle it 😭
But thats just me. Other than that, the gamemode's pretty fun.

The new spartan points shop is very boring in my opinion. As someone who has already unlocked all of the gear in it from the past ultimate rewards it devalues those items and doesn’t give the people that stuck through the game during the dark days anything new an exciting to even grind for. Mind you there are new items in the exchange however they’re all ugly coatings that I’ll never use because I’ve already had to spend my own money on white
