Oops I did get that wrong off the top of my head, thanks for the correction, I didn't catch it during editing 👍 Also I'm glad because I was thinking 20K years was WAY too many 😅
Still baffles me there has not been a sequel of jade empire. I never played it when it came out as I never owned Xbox. Now experiencing it on series x it’s such brilliant game
@@RetroMediaRoom Thanks! Hey as a physical game collector, owner of 103 games all backwards compatible, I am thinking the Series X is worth buy when on sale SOLELY for backwards compatibility, ya think?
There's a list of o.g. xbox games that run on 360 and a list that run on xbone and beyond. Some work... some don't. It would be nice to see alot more on the list.
you must have your console connected to the internet as the Series X doesn't play or rip the game from the discs. It downloads a copy of the game directly from Microsoft and your disc is used as a key to play the game.
@@JTW3159 Yep that is correct, while it's not as nice as being able to play natively off the disc like say PS1 games on PS3, at least we get all these upgrades for it and they're digitally in the store most of the time.
I'm currently playiing KOTOR 1 but that's good to know about the saves in KOTOR 2. I wrote down turn off auto save and put it in my KOTOR 2 case. Love the OG Xbox I bought it at launch. Love all 3 systems from that generation.
@wantsome-zs5sq sadly I was too young and was stuck with the ps2 which was a good problem to have and I'm thankful we even had a game system. But holy cow the dreamcast games are expensive. I seen a modded dreamcast is a good cost effective option
Why do i need to play inferor console version of max payne when it perfectly runs on literaly any pc? This game was designed for pc, for keyboard and mouse. The combat feels so stiff with a gamepad.
If you have a gaming PC cool, that goes without saying. My video game content is primarily centered around console gaming, not everyone has capable PCs or even want to play games on them.
@@RetroMediaRoom dude this game is 23 years old. Even the cheapest pc can run it on high graphics settings) Only people who haven't got any pc at all(which is strange in 2024) can try to play it on consoles, and even then they'll be better of with IOs/android port. You could include dead to rights which is actually better on consoles. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but in my country most of the people play shooters(and any games in general) on pc.
@@nathanchambers985 well i'am a console owner. In fact i own 7 consoles . But this doesn't mean that i don't own a pc(pretty dated pc mind you, and it still runs old games like it's nothing).
KotOR is 4,000 years before the movies, not 20k. Great list though, should give Advant Rising a go.

@RetroMediaRoom well 20k years away does tie into the Infinite Empire and Star Forge.
That's probably what I mixed up in my head, I knew I'd heard 20K years somewhere Lol!

Yeah Bioware simply moved on, it's a very good game!
I love that KOTOR 1 and 2 are on everything now. The Android and Apple versions are really awesome.
Those have to be in the top 5 greatest mobile games of all time 😁
still waiting for more original Xbox games for backwards compatible?
I wish they would, but according to Xbox they're not not bringing anymore older games to the backwards compatible library.
Absolutely a great list. They look so good with the modern improvements as well.
Thanks! Yeah they're truly better than ever 😀

@@ThePalePatriot Backwards compatibility is huge for me so yes I would have solely bought a Series X on that alone 😀
I bought all the games from the video on physical/digital.
Sweet! 😀
Fantastic list. Now I need to play KOTOR again.
Yeah starting it again I'll probably keep going Lol!
It's so good
I loved kotor, it blew my mind 20 years ago
That twist though 🤯
Morrowind is my favorite, plays so amazing on series X and XBOX one
It sure does, better than ever 😃

what's your intro song? i really dig it... btw, i have all of them with the exception of breakdown on the XSX. great, timeless games 100%
I'm glad you like the song, it's my original song that I created many years ago 😀
Breakdown is on game pass I think. I bought time splitters 1 for 99 cents.
I was BLOWN away at how good KOTOR was! ❤❤❤❤❤

i really like to play more original Xbox games on Xbox Series X so bad? 😢
Me too 😢

I accidentally didn't get the words out but noted in the video that the save issue applies to both games just so we're clear.
@@RetroMediaRoom Ok didn't know that thanks
All 4 were great! Don't forget the dreamcast
@@mattneal4309 I was gonna buy a Dreamcast 18 years ago and I'm kicking myself for not doing it.

Back then, I built a new computer bacause of KOTOR.
Waiting on the MP remakes
Sure, I hope they're everything they can be.
SSX
Very fun game 😀

This video is for console owners. PC owners are not relevant to the issue. More people own a console compared to a desktop computer.
