The Freo concert was brilliant. Ernest clearly appreciates playing with other talented muso's. The keyboard player earned Mr Ranglin's respect that evening!. Such a laid back humble chap.
I often see people on TH-cam criticize Ranglin's ensembles for not holding tight to the typical one drop formula of reggae riddum. Such criticism fails to recognize the genius of his expansion of the form onto a jazz pallette.
Read the comments about the piano solo just as it was starting... Thinking yeah, it's not as good as the below the baseline album version.. then he started doing some things.
