Police in America are honestly not that bad. Europeans seem to actually trust American media outlets over DW or BBC funny enough. The BLM riots were mostly peacefull, but you would be delusional in thinking a large majority werent just spoiled white women burning down random peoples livelyhoods, for litterally no reason other than being bored during the pandemic. Police Brutality is a real issue in America, and both sides wanted to double down and fix the issue. But it seemed like a vast majority of spoiled white people sensationlized it as some "revolution" and began acting like clowns, and destroyed any unity between any political side into resolving the issue. George Floyd was a junkie, but he didnt deserve to have his neck caved in by some paid murderer. Imagine if the French stopped burning down government owned property, and began burning down apartments and their own people. Pretty sure the French police would actually get involved in that case.
@Ranid most of the European countries have militaries the only one that really doesn’t is Britain who technically have a military but really just rely on the other members of NATO. Also the California national guard trained the Ukrainian military which is why they are doing so good against the Russian military because they are using modern tactics on a military that has one a very lackluster tooth to tail ratio and two tanks designed before the invention of smart weapons

If we focus less on having kids and more on improving the world we wouldn’t need so many people in the first place. “It’s unfair,” tell that to the thousands of kids abused and killed every year by the parents that want kids they don’t need. Or what about people who have kids they can’t afford, ruining the child’s quality of life. Yeah, no, having kids is a privilege, not a entitlement, but as long as people don’t recognize that the world will continue to suffer overpopulation and lack of resources. When my host mom complained about not having enough vacation (when they have, I believe, two weeks off for Christmas, one for Easter, and 3-4 weeks off in August). My whole reality up until then (again, as far as I know, having never personally having had a full-time job that pays on salary) was 1 week vacation, 1 week sick leave, but try not to take all your days off if you can manage to. I never thought about how it should or could be different, that’s just how life was. I think that’s often the case in life, is that we simply don’t know our “rights” or recognize that things could be better. I think it’s so important to travel, to be exposed to other cultures and mentalities, and with an open mind. It makes us aware that there are other realities, which can make us appreciate what we do have, and also become aware when our situation isn’t how it should be, or could be better.

I was really shocked when I found out that paid leave is indeed "discouraged" over there and the healthcare system is confusing and bloody expensive. It still is strange to me that "choice" comes first (you can choose your own healthcare provider) which in reality means that some CEOs get rich on your health and you can get your benefits denied if their annual profit margin is not looking good which ought to be illegal to be honest. Could never happen over here. The problem is with the US educational system I believe. A lot of people know next to nothing about other countries, only one thing matters: the US, the greatest country on the globe (it is not it though). We have a progressive paid leave system over here - the older you get, the more days you have (I'm only 31 but I think I have 20-22 days a year - which will go up later on). Vince Brown Tbh Massachusetts is an anomaly by American standards. I’m from the GBA (greater Boston area), so I know. Our compulsory education is ranked third in the whole world. By state law high school teachers need a masters to continue teaching after a small window of time of getting their first teaching job. Our healthcare system is comparable to EU countries, I never had to pay a single cent for anything health related my entire life because of MassHealth. I got braces for free, all of my medication is free (a part from a special prescription sensitivity toothpaste I had to buy for $10 once), my physical therapy was free, I go to the doctors whenever and it’s always free, quick, and efficient. I literally book appointments to get documents signed because I don’t want to wait a week to get things done through the receptionists. As a high school student I got my MBTA monthly passes for $25, but now I don’t really use public transport. Our taxes aren’t ludicrous, I mean, they exist, but they are terrible. I go to university for free, and usually get a refund check for about $2000 every semester. So I’m basically getting paid to go to school. My siblings have a little debt (about $15k), so its manageable since they are working. I go to a top school in the Boston area, and got a full scholarship to go, so I don’t have any loans or debt to worry about. Theres a huge farmers market nearby (its p famous) with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables that are ridiculously cheap since they are set to go bad in a relatively short time and farms want to get rid of them, and since I live in a big family, it’s perfect for us. We get huge pints of blue berries and freeze them, each pint being $.90. Going to Costco helps save money too. Our rent for a two story home with four rooms is $1.7k a month, which is crazily low for the area we live in (Boston and it’s suburbs are known for high rent). I have a lot of money in my savings account because I never spend on anything and work during the summer in internships, and also have a bunch from school refund checks. I’m super privileged although we are technically below the poverty line and can’t afford super fancy things since were in a state that supports poor people really well.

Ekaterina S But it’s the easiest place in the world to become a millionaire ... go big or go home. If you can’t handle the pressure don’t come here. My family came here without much and in 3 years we got a 2 story home in a nice neighborhood near Houston Texas. And now we own multiple properties. American dream baby
Karen Miller I came here with my family from a poor country. And we have a 2 story brand new home with over 2,800 square feet in a above middle class neighborhood that we bought only for 185k$ and now (thanks to American real estate market) is worth 285$. Were not millionaires but we live comfortably, eat out a lot and have a lot of land. In Europe land is terribly expensive and homes are all over 100 year old. You could never get a home like this in Europe unless you were a millionaire. So on your European standards, yes I am a millionaire
Sofia LL there is no misery around me sweet heart. We own multiple properties and everyone around me owns a car and a large home unlike Europe. How many rats do you own? In your 200 year old European tiny home?
Gavin Hughes right! I don’t know where this American optimism came from... “you can be Anything you want, after you are in $100,000 debt from university and can’t a job with your degree” I just don’t get why any of Americans tolerate it, just so we can have our food and clothes and furniture made for us by slaves from overseas?
People from 3rd world South American countries want to go to the US, I really wonder why they don't want to go to Europe. Can it be that there is a whole ocean in between and it would be a lot harder for them to reach Europe?
Its kinda like the British. If you like your flag, you want to put it down everywhere. When the English waved their flag, there was enough land owned by poor infrior people. When Germany waved their flag they just called everyone inferior and planted their flag at places where people already had their own flag. So those people were really hurt
Dreinorh neighbor doesn't have to mean the country that you share a border with, (at least by my standards, you can tell me if i'm wrong and neighbor means a completely different thing)

You think America is bad go protest in Russia they’ll respond with at least one BTR with a 30 millimeter cannon
I have international friends who find it odd that that we don't include taxes on the price tags.
Because it hides the cut that government demands. Hiding taxation is government's preference, but perhaps not a free person's preference.
We also don’t have to pay taxes on digital download products. European nations do.
It's because different states, counties, towns, etc. have different taxes and prices.
Its cause for us its decieving to see a lower price.

As an American responding to how there aren’t riots in the streets: Speaking for my part, I didn’t realize until I travelled to Spain that other countries have it better in some ways.
We had American friends over visiting us in Barcelona. They couldn't believe that a package of insulin (she is diabetic) was under ten euros vs 300 dollars in the US, retail price. The exact same box, brand, and quantity. Americans don't realise to what extent they are being ripped off in healthcare, vacations time, student costs ,and many other social rights. It's like a collective stockholm syndrome, nourished by lack of information and fear mongering about "socialism" on corporate cable news.

I am Hungarian and worked twice in the US in a summer camp for kids.
I was really shocked when I found out that paid leave is indeed "discouraged" over there and the healthcare system is confusing and bloody expensive. I had read about it but did not want to believe it lol.
If this would change, say, we get 1 week vacation and 1 week of sick leave as you do, the streets would fill up with people in a blink lol.

It doesn't necessarily need to be a marriage, it can be something less committed such as a civil union or a domestic partnership. Also, whatever your gender is, it won't be a problem.
Same, Im an American and ever since I wad little ive been literally obsessed with France and french culture. I started learning the language seriously about a year and a half ago and Im almost fluent. I know things aren't great in France right now but its still my dream to live there
@@wanderingmerde6868 ? Why tho?
I am European.
And I can confirm I have no American Dream whatsoever.
Diego Gamarra but are you a millionaire?
@@diegogamarra2928 that argument just makes me roll my eyes. Good for you if your conscience tolerates the misery around you...
I’ll trade my American hospitality and “spirit of optimism” for the natural human rights that the EU recognizes any day of the week.
Gavin Hughes right! I don’t know where this American optimism came from... “you can be Anything you want, after you are in $100,000 debt from university and can’t a job with your degree” I just don’t get why any of Americans tolerate it, just so we can have our food and clothes and furniture made for us by slaves from overseas?
im good lol
Gavin Hughes *gets half your check taxed in order to pay for it
They have less rights not more.
"natural human rights". Ya buddy. Sure. Cuz everybody knows free healthcare is a natural human right that's been around since adam and eve.
I don’t even know why I am watching this.
I am European.
You're watching it because you need find something outside your own experience to direct your fears and discontents toward.
3506Dodge whatcchu said?
3506Dodge umm no I don’t think so buddy
@@user-zb4yv5rp2y I think so darlin'
3506Dodge ok well can you please explain to me what you were trying to say because honestly I didn’t get a word of what you were saying
A lot of people talk trash about the US but in reality it's the country that a lot of people would rather be in compared to where they live right now.
People from 3rd world South American countries want to go to the US, I really wonder why they don't want to go to Europe. Can it be that there is a whole ocean in between and it would be a lot harder for them to reach Europe?
That’s why so many euro trash move to the US. They realize what a dump the EU is.
@@fatherson5907 So how come 8.7 million US citizens live abroad??
@@Brozius2512 job relocation and family
@@learntostrafe Yep, that's probably the reason 35,000 US citizens live in my country the Netherlands.
In Germany we don't wave flags. Last time that happened things got way out of hand.
Please can you explain 😂
Its kinda like the British. If you like your flag, you want to put it down everywhere. When the English waved their flag, there was enough land owned by poor infrior people. When Germany waved their flag they just called everyone inferior and planted their flag at places where people already had their own flag. So those people were really hurt
Same with Switzerland. I‘ve literally never seen anyone waving a flag here tbh💀
We only fly them during the World and European cup.
Honestly, I thought that this was a WWII joke..
Has anyone noticed how all of them - no matter which country they are from - speak incredibly good English.... greetings from Germany ;)
Greetings from Italy, hello neighbor
@@lucabralia5125WTF do you mean neighbor? Italy and Germany isn't neighbors xD learn some geography!
Dreinorh i mean neighbor by close country, i know that Austria and Switzerland are in the way
Dreinorh neighbor doesn't have to mean the country that you share a border with, (at least by my standards, you can tell me if i'm wrong and neighbor means a completely different thing)
@dreinorh why so rude?!
These differences between Europeans and Americans aren’t just funny and silly but also sad and tragic 🤭
Ron Villejo I pray every night that I never end up in one of your horrible states.
@@bigdraco2994 same bruh we would probably get robbed and shot or kidnapped by one of the many serial killer who roam around in america
@mike a yeah really you're
continent is way unsafer then ours
Europe is the much more inefficient than America. Education obviously horrible, public healthcare has no incentives for medical professionals to perform well, and we make our food with these chemicals because it makes them taste much better than your European crap food. Your liberal inconclusive health tests aren’t going to deter anyone. Europe is horrible. Please do not come at us. In the words of an AMERICAN named Deandre Hopkins “I don’t start nuthin, I just finish it”
Please never come at our great nation again unless you would like to get fried like a Krabby Patty “you probably don’t even know what that is”😂
Roll Trump 2020
Arrest Pelosi
Literally Anything you can possibly think of we do 10x better than you
I love how they are only pointing out the bad stuff.
You don't have nothing nice that's why
And exactly what's the "good stuff"?
I hear ya, but to be fair, those mcdonalds cups are 90% ice.
Thank gawd for Wendy’s self serve😏
Rob Bwoamn true true. The ice thing just needed to be taken into consideration with 77% larger cups with a lot of ice vs Europe, I heard they don’t have ice in most drinks
I ask for ice to the top
Wait so you mean you dont have self service?
