  • Sorry for the nearly indistinguishable looking video from the last. I promise to get back to more Lego filled content and have, in fact, been putting some stuff together over the last week (took much longer than expected).
Anyway, I finally made an international purchase on Bricklink and I was quite pleased. I bought from Bruno's Bricks in Germany. I have a suspicion that those in Danmark (Denmark) or neighboring countries might have better access to bricks being so close to the Lego motherland as they seem to always be cheaper and have higher quantities. The price and quantity certainly drove me to buy my pulleys for my next MOC of the Boston Building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Here is the key to buying internationally. Find a good price, find out what the shipping will be, and do some math: total cost of parts + shipping / number of parts = effective price per part. This became very important in my selection because the part I was buying was hard to find in good quantities. Therefore, if I couldn't find one seller, I would have to pay shipping two or even three times, thus increasing my effective price per part. Although I found a seller in the U.S. where the effective price came out the same as my effective price from Germany, I could only get the quantity I needed from Germany. Adding a second U.S. purchase would have increased the overall effective price, so my decision was easy.
Making this process even better, at least due to this seller, is that the packaging was excellent and it did not take long at all to receive. Thumbs up to Bruno's Bricks. I hope you found this video useful. I know how expensive buying parts on Bricklink can be.
    See you next time.

When you buy a brand new set from countries like Germany, are their boxes and instructions in German?

I would have to go back and look as it was almost two years ago. But I know it took at least two weeks.
