    Very cute! I use the clone tool to quickly restore small patches. I love your way of organizing.

      The clone tool is a great tool too. I used to use that one a lot too. :-)

    Another great video. And big thanks that you got a good mike for your voice. It's much improved, louder, so I don't have to hold my computer up to my ear. btw which brush do you use for the outline

    Dear Jess, thanks for this great tutorial. Is there a reason why you paint in CMYK instead of RGB? Is it because you work for print or is it that the colours mix differently? Anyway, lovely artwork, thank you for sharing!

    • @JessBircham
      @JessBircham  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi - yes for printing children's books the publisher asks that all art be submitted in CMYK form. If I were just using the art for digital purposes - on screen/websites etc I would simply save it in RGB form as a jpeg. You can always turn a CMYK file into an RGB file but you can't do it the other way around - had to learn that the hard way! Thank for watching! :-)

      Thanks you so much for your answer! It makes sens. I'm having a bit of learning curve working with CMYK, it does some color mixing quite differently, but I have to admit that your technique makes that totally transparent!

    Superb drawing and colors , but one question , I didn't catch how the color that you put is transparent , even with your opacity at 100%.

    • @JessBircham
      @JessBircham  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the brush I use has a certain opacity to it so it will continue to build up color and if you set the layer to multiply it will also make a transparent look.

      Yeah I tried something different on this video in my editing software - it seems to have made my voice too loud now - sorry about that!
