That is super complicated compared to just converting the torque master to a classic torsion system. Plus the Wayne dalton 9100 is the cheapest piece of crap on the market
Hey flea1812! Thanks for the review of my kit. Glad its working good for you. I have taken a few of your comments from the video to improve the kit and its instructions ie. open up the smaller sprocket to ensure it slips over easier, etc. Be sure to try to keep the sprocket assembly as close as possible to the end support to eliminate the chances of the chain skipping. My kits have been up for 7+ years now in my house with no grief from the kit or the torquemaster spring, with our winter temperatures often going below -40°C (-40°F) for days at a time. Thanks again for the review! Take care.
Can you elaborate more on why you needed the push-spring and extra weights? Why is the motor strong enough to lift the garage door not push it back down? Does the motor run with less torque when closing? Is it because the torquemaster springs have wound too much to overcome? Thanks in advance!
It is fun to build stuff, but I dunno that I would've gone that crazy. If your future plan is to high lift the door, I guess this could be a good temp solution. Still, I would've just done a regular torsion conversion. Also, that lock is a bit high, somebody could probably crawl under that door.
Ben Kneisley that will be a future project and I’ll need a few extra set of hands, but for now this works just fine to lift up my cars, any large truck I back it in close the garage door and lift up
@@joebear5469he won’t need to call you becuase there is no chance of him getting hurt replacing the Wayne Dalton spring himself. Heck even if he has to buy the tube with the springs in it it will be cheaper than your labor and a conversion.
What tha FACK lol all this extra stuff and extra money spent for nothing should of just done a torsion conversion those torque masters break on year 3 anyways. Could of also bought new panels and new torsion systems keep the tracks and do the jack shaft too. I wander how much all that cost
Genie now makes an adaptor kit for this type of garage door opener. No more homemade stuff. 😊

I just bolted a 10 lb weight to the bottom of the door.

Can anyone help with this setup....I can set travel limits, but it won't set down force....it just keeps going down and pulling up on torquemaster
Why didn't you high lift the door also?????

Where can I get a kit?
Why not just get a regular spring system installed?
Hello. Can you tell me how to get this kit
Hi there. Please send an email request to nstrilchuk@gmail.com. Thanks!
What was the cost difference between the all the mods compared to a torsion spring
Joel Blair if you install the torsion spring yourself I think not much maybe 20-50 USD difference?
@@ThatShortGuy91 I install garage doors. When that spring breaks please don't call me lol
Joel Blair lmao fr
