Thanks so much for this video, there are so many loopy pro videos that show how to use LP instead of a boss multi track, or other multi track loopers, pushing the limits, while the key to success for Loopy pro is getting complete beginners using it. This has given me the enthusiasm to start again with loopy pro. Thanks again
I am so happy!!! Thank you!!! I will be trying this with your template this week...I've been looking for this exact thing as I have the Infinity pigtronix looper. 😊
I am not a guitar player. I am a keyboard player yet I love you guys first of all. Wish I could really learn how to play the guitar actually. Yet also I have learned so much through your videos really just getting started today. About looping in live looping. A bass player buddy of mine told me about an artist he was playing with. It was doing live loops on stage in the band had a ball with him. my mind kitten, Fatima or imagine it because I was only thinking of recording in a studio setting. I asked him questions yet still cannot grasp. Now I get it particularly how it detects the tempo, so therefore there are no worries about such things as that. Thanks.
Thank you, you are really good at giving explanations that are easy to follow. AND…. You’re great at making this tech work for your style. Great stuff. Thanks! .
Not a guitar player, not a loop merchant, but I do love Michael and Loopy Pro and his patient patronage of the AudioBus Forum, so took a look at this video. Really, really good :) Very clear, well-designed, and eminently watchable. I have a nice little Taylor sitting in my studio I haven't touched in a number of years, but may have to drag it out and slap some new strings on it :) Thanks very much and keep up the high-quality work. JG
This is an excellent tutorial. You explained your template very clearly and I learned a lot. I also enjoyed your guitar playing. I have used Loopy loopers since the Wayback days. I use Loopy Pro with synth and beats apps and with my hardware synths. For the most part, I haven’t built many templates so this example will help with that along with your video. Thanks again. Subscribed.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the tutorial! It means a lot to hear that you found it helpful and that it will be useful for building templates with Loopy Pro. Thank you for subscribing and for your support! If you have any more questions or need assistance in the future, feel free to let me know. Loop on!
Ive just discovered your great videos here and have subscribed. But i have a question about the tape stop. Is this accomplished natively in Loopy Pro, or is it a third party plugin you are using?
Hello Max I love very much your videos and your playing as well - very subtle and it gives a good feeling. I have some question about saving and where are my recordings saved. For Example I take the Ditto X4 Template I record something and I give a nw name to save it. I have the impression my Ditto X4 File ist gone and I have a new name now. I would expect it is still there and I have another one with th name I gave. So maybe it is better to duplicate ? Or to export ? Maybed it is because I am not familiar with Ios File saving system !
Hello! Thanks! I suppose, better to save your current project, and then duplicate it, rename and clear it. To manage that, press the folder icon at the top left corner. Here you will find your projects and recording too
There is a dedicated feature in the app. You need REC button on the top right. All the channels can be recorded in the separated audio files. In this case I am using HX Stomp as an audio interface. But you can use any audio interface working with iPhone/iPad ("class-compliant"). Here's the video th-cam.com/video/LtNlcWgWTUY/w-d-xo.html
Hello, thks for this "less is more" setup. I got my ampero hooked up with correct MIDI cc values you gave 101,102 ... But I can't get it work out of the box. Neither can I with your HX stomp preset. Is there something I'm missing here? I don't know if I'm the only one facing this issue. In case not, do you have a list of all the bindings I have to do to get your loopy set working? No worries if you don't have time for this, I could figure it myself I guess, but yeah just wonderign if others are facing this too. Thanks 🙂
Hey! Let’s start with Ampero :) You should use Ampero in momentary mode. It should send CC #101 value 127 (On) when you press footswitch 1. And it should send CC #101 value 0 (Off) when you release footswitch 1. The same for the footswitch 2 (CC #102) and etc I don’t have this controller, but I suppose, that you need some app for that. Maybe this video will help th-cam.com/video/rEXbgbHqf5E/w-d-xo.html Then you should change bindings in Loopy Pro. Go to the sandwich menu > Control Settings. You should see your controller name in the “MIDI Devices” list. All the bindings are in the “Current Project”. Start with the “Classic Ditto” profile. Click on that, and you will see all the bindings. Go to the first one (I think, it’s СС103, on) > Trigger > Device > choose your controller Do this for every binding in this profile. And the same for the rest of the profiles (Double, fade, half etc) Let me know if it’s working or not! 🙂
@@max_yar_guitar Hi Max! Regarding the Ampero I'm good, I think I saw the video before and I have it setup up all good. But the "Classic Ditto" profile does not appear in the "current project" menu. I's empty. I don't know if there're a way to import it appart from the loopy set? Thanks a million for your time 🙂
UPDATE !!! I found out the solution when I saw in your DL link that your set is for Loopy Pro 1.1 My version was 1.0.42. After upadte it worked all good 🙂 Thanks Max
Hi Max I have been following your videos for ages now, all great useful and inspiring content! So thank you. I have downloaded and installed your latest template for Loopy Pro and I have a Nektar Pacer midi foot controller.. My question is: How easy will it be to set up this controller to control the template you so kindly gave us (which is awesome) All the best, Gavin in Stoke on Trent UK

Just misunderstood what you meant in the video about koala FX As for the rest, if I'm understanding properly (trying to deconstruct to both understand and use) tapestop and reverse are from the variable speed updates in 1.1, fade is a volume trigger, Once just triggers an end loop, and double/half do just as they say? (Again, thanks so much for your time and help)
Your use of looing is masterful, but the root of its effectiveness is your absolutely stellar musicianship!
Thanks a million, I appreciate that 🙏🙏🙏

Thanks! Check 14:50 - is it what you're looking for? :)

Привет! Подскажи, как tape stop сделать, каким плагином? )
Привет! В версии 1.1 плагин не требуется - просто уменьшаем скорость и потом ставим на паузу. Но еще такого эффекта можно добиться с помощью Koala FX
Hey Max, for those of us new to Ipad music production, would like to have a run down on plug ins. Have no clue atm. 😂

Slight amount of the ToneBoosters reverb :)
I've decided to remove it from the actual template file. Because it's not a part of the Ditto pedal)

Yep, that's correct! Double and half are changing tempo and pitch. But you can adjust them individually if you'd like
