  • Reaction To NORDIC HILLBILLIES - Mannen som kunde tala med älgar (Leif och Billy)
This is my reaction to NORDIC HILLBILLIES - Mannen som kunde tala med älgar (Leif och Billy)
In this video I react to Swedish comedy from Swedish comedians and comedy show NORDIC HILLBILLIES (Leif och Billy) and their funny comedy sketch about moose.

They are still active, they have done 50 episodes in 7 seasons on SVT Swedish television. They started as a youtube channel but later got the TV show. First episode on tv was back in 2017 and have been going on since then.

Klas is allso running a podcast called "Bygga åt idioter" or "build for idiots". where he invites Craftmen to get a chance to tell fun stories about their idiotic customers (usually it's the other way around, where customers talk shit abourt the painter doing a bad job for example)

They went on to making a TV series. I like the episodes where the neighbor from Stockholm is an antagonist.

    Moose is good food.
Billy is played by Alfred Svensson and he is Great in movies like Folk med ångest and 100 åringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann ( with Robert Gustavsson)

I love moose meat! It's usually quite expensive if you don't know a hunter though. And you're only allowed to hunt moose during the moose season, so it's a bit scarce.

The actor who plays “Leif” (the older brother) grew up in my old hometown. Although they exaggerate what life is like in northern Sweden, it’s still very recognizable. And yes, moose are hunted in Sweden, and the meat is often used as a substitute for beef.

Beef is substitute for moose and other wild animals which are to expensive. Moose, elk and deer was the norm to eat way before beef existed :P

I’m pretty sure ”Mannen som kan tala med hundar” is the official translation for the show ”The Dog Whisperer”.
It directly translates to ”The man who can speak with dogs”.
A more direct translation would be grammatically wacky in Swedish.
So obviously, the title is a parody of that.

The question about whether we eat moose was rather surprising. We certainly eat moose. We have the densest population of moose in the world.

Moose meat is good and tasty if you know how to cook it.

Shame you didn't go for the upvoted ones, however if you intend to react to the em all, i guess it doesn't realy matter.
But not all of them will hit the same, and i'd imagine even more so for someone who doesn't speak swedish. Sometimes a lot of the humor gets lost in translation.

Ä you can pronounce as eh? Ehlyar maby would be more correct for an english speaker to say älgar.
