The thing I really like about your content is that you are more focused on themed decks and seeing what kind of fun stuff you can get away with. This is what drew me to MTG back when it came out as a kid(yes, I'm old). So many MTG creators (I'm not trash talking them, just making an observation) are so focused on "Win Rate" and "New Meta deck to get you to Mythic" content. Sometimes it feels like the creative "soul" of MTG is being eroded with cold calculating efficiency of net-decks. Anyways, this is basically a long-winded way of saying I appreciate your kind approach to content. Also, it's a comment to show engagement for the almighty algorithm 😉
Thanks for the kind words. At the end of the day creators are just making what people are responding to. There are some types of content I don't make either just because they don't hit. I also know some of the ways I produce content may keep me growing slower. I don't mind it though, as I have a more loyal, and more importantly friendly, audience because of it. 🙂
Angels are always adorable... since Kaldheim has rotated out of Standard, it hasnt been a competitive deck. Lets hope that Ixalan gives some new feathers. Great content as always mr.Dragon
What do you think about splashing black for maybe 2 copies of Drana and Linvala? Seems like it could be useful for shutting down a lot of threats just by existing on board in the same way Norn blows up ETB reliant decks
There are way less activated abilities in the main meta decks than you think. There are even less game states where you'll win by turning off one of those abilities and having a creature that's less useful to you. At least in my experience. That said, this could change in the future. But as always, if you like the card, go for it. You should always be playing stuff you enjoy and having fun first.
There's not enough value without messing with the lands. But feel free to add to your version. I always suggest people play whatever cards they find fun if they fit.
40:47 Is there some reason you couldn't exile that attacker with Emperor? You couldn't before because it wasn't tapped, but it didn't have vigilance this turn. Yet another misplay (unless I'm missing something) that fortunately didn't cost you the game. Also, double lifelink isn't a thing. That's not how lifelink works.
@@PowrDragn The note on the screen says indestructible, which doesn't protect against exile...unless it also gives hexproof? IDK that samurai card, that's why I asked. I'm not trying to be antagonistic.
Okay, I just looked it up, and yeah, you absolutely could have exiled it with The Wandering Emperor. The other Selfless Samurai could give it indestructible, but not hexproof. Especially after the opponent used his last pump spell and had no cards in hand to protect it.
@@whatsyoursteezo Not really. It's more about mana cost. And Smite is better in early turn situations against things like Mono Red and Mono White while you're also trying to build your board.

Honestly, the difficult part is testing out a bunch of things to come up with a workable version...or scrapping a deck over 2-3 hours of trying. LOL

You know you can use Elspeth's Smite and then block. I would have done that on the turn the Samurai was a 9/7.
You know it had indestructible on most of those attacks, right?
