With this particular 6700 xt card....how did you get the temps to run so much cooler? I have purchased 2 of these and the temps are pushing 80 degrees. I put thermal pads underneath the plate.where the chips are but still not getting this low of temps.
It also depends on your room If your room temps are high then it's natural that it will run hotter especially if you live in a country like India where average temps are above 50c

Guys I'm struggling which should I pick, I want to pair one of these GPUs with i3-12100F that I currenly have in my PC with RTX 2060. In my country the prices are 365€ for RX 6700 XT and 354€ for RTX 4060, which one would you pick if you will be in my skin? The 6700XT is a good bit faster and most important has 12GB VRAM.The drivers are fine, AMD GPUs don't crash any more than NVIDIA does. This video does not show it but in many newer games the 4060 8GB will run out of VRAM in about 20-30 min playing as the textures fill up and the game will become an unplayable slide show (See Hardware Unboxed video on 8GB VRAM GPUs). The only issue for you not to get the 6700XT is your CPU, it may not be capable of pushing the 6700XT to its full use. You will also need a 650 watt PSU, 750 watts if you want to OC to 6750XT spec. The 6700XT is a 1440p card much better than a 4060, more than is shown in this video. Watch Gamers Nexus reviews or Hardware Unboxed on the 4060, they are most accurate. Also, stay away from Intel GPUs, they are for experienced users looking to play around with a new brand who don't mind the driver issues.
Would've been cool if you could test also with FSR and DLSS 2 on, just to see how they perform in a more realistic environment. I mean, why wouldn't you use the upscaler, if you have access to it?

With that kind of power You could bump up to the GTX 4070 and get crushed. It goes to show that he had to pair the next tier up card that pulls 180+ wats against the 120wat 4060 and yet still there only was a 20 frame max difference. RX 6700 XT is using 7nm process size and 2021 architecture while 4060 is using 5nm process size and 2023 architecture thats why they compare more high end chip with basic level but newer one, cuz newer one should be able to compete with high end one of the previous generation. depend on the card. im using red devil 6700xt and most of the game barely reach 60c on highest setting. of course environment, oc etc had an impact on temp too. mine at 24c room temp. even at noon usually around 32-34c still the card manage to sit around 70-78c

4060 beats 3070. most benchmarks on youtube are fake. watch far cry 6 max settings of 3070 on youtube then visit my channel, I left a couple fps test on games on my channel including far cry 6. you will see that at the same settings and res, on far cry 6, 4060 beats 3070. laptop 4060 is same as desktop and even better in some cases btw.

The 4060 is DOA because of small bus width and only 8gb Vram. It will not age well because the card has been crippled far to much for a modern mid range tech. Hopefully the 5060 series comes with the 12gb Vram and 256bit+ bus width this card should of had.
Just spend like 30 or 40 usd more and get a 6700xt which has more vram and btter performance then the 4060. And the 6700xt cam be easily undervolted and or overclocked to have even higher performamce

According to tests 6700 XT provides around 5-10% more FPS but runs hotter and draws 50% more power for that. You decide for yourself.

Why your rx get so hot??? I have Asus and max I haved it's 60 in high games. Normal it's 56-58. In windows screen 42-45.

undervolting is a good thing. do it right and you wont lose performance. you dont need to increase the fan speed then. i would do it.

after the using 6650xt no i cant buy again ANY radeon gpu at all. i was using 6650xt and i was getting extremely to much wattman errors, while using pc blank black screen, force restart after that i was getting at the he UEFI mode BIOS does not fully support the VGA card and etc. ton of errors. before buy any radeon make sure you have ready to test gpu system and make sure you are able to refund. i was building part by part pc and i cant refund... and do not test the card like valorant csgo made by professional game developers. these games will not give you any problem. check to heavly gpu usage games
The temps are alot higher on the 6700xt
depend on the card. im using red devil 6700xt and most of the game barely reach 60c on highest setting. of course environment, oc etc had an impact on temp too. mine at 24c room temp. even at noon usually around 32-34c still the card manage to sit around 70-78c

If you don't give a crap about ray tracing amd is always the better choice
i live in india. sometimes room temperature reaches 35°c so i guess Nvidia will run cooler as compared to amd gpus

dlss and fsr makes very blurry depend on some games.. i really turn off these settings its like blurry effect.

Both can't do Ray Tracing well. You need at least 3070 to ray trace 1080p.
Unless you are able to acquire the highest end GPU it's best to leave RT off until solid RT performance hits the mid range in a generation or two.

4060 beats 3070. most benchmarks on youtube are fake. watch far cry 6 max settings of 3070 on youtube then visit my channel, I left a couple fps test on games on my channel including far cry 6. you will see that at the same settings and res, on far cry 6, 4060 beats 3070. laptop 4060 is same as desktop and even better in some cases btw.

The 4060 is DOA because of small bus width and only 8gb Vram. It will not age well because the card has been crippled far to much for a modern mid range tech. Hopefully the 5060 series comes with the 12gb Vram and 256bit+ bus width this card should of had.
