Already too many oversized Glock mags, don't think it would be as big a hit as a 43 higher capacity mag... That is a market that would keep them busy in my opinion.
@@clutchcargo1239 The point of these magazines is that they're not oversized, they just fit more rounds in the same given space (and may be slightly heavier since they're made of mostly metal). So I think it absolutely would be a hit, I love having more rounds in a flush fitting magazine and I'm certainly not alone in that.

I don't think the G19 sized pistols will ever really go away. My prediction is that higher-capacity magazines will become available for the larger pistols. (15 is the new 10, maybe 20 will be the new 15.)
They might fall out of popularity, but right now these smaller guns rarely come with red dot optics. A 48/43X with an MOS system would be a game-changer for me. I'm only 40, but my eye suck and red dot are a huge help in fast target acquisition. So for now the G19 is as small as I can get in glock line up with their MOS system. But I feel that's going to change in the future.
timewave02012 why? The trick here was removing the polymer shell from what is already a steel lined magazine. There’s no reason the same couldn’t work with a G19. It may not yield a 50% increase in capacity, however.
I think an aspect of the 48 that people are missing is that this is essentially the 19 for people who live in limited capacity states. I'm in a 10 rd only state, so this is perfect for me as a "do it all gun". Its already great for concealed carry, and if I slap the Recover Tactical pic rail with a light on it, it works great for the house as well.
I literally stressed over purchasing the 365xl , Hellcat Pro and the 48 mos. .. I went with the 48 mos and I’m glad .. just more simple, less potential issues, breakdown etc .. simplicity .. ultimately Glock is still Glock .. affordable yet dependable.
I went into a local shop, put the 365 xl in my hand and then the Glock 48, the 48 was the winner by far for grip. Felt natural in my hands, such a comfortable grip. The 365 xl on the other hand felt weird and not very gripful if that makes sense
I bought 2 mags for my 43x and I will say that the springs are stiff as hell and getting the 15th is hard enough that I just load 14 instead. So, i guess they just come with the mags now. Good quality too.
*_Wow!_* _Did anyone see that atmospheric cone at the __8:24__ mark?_ It was right after the third shot of the 'Failure Drill'. This is equivalent to the "Mach Cone" that occasionally appears around jet fighters racing through the air at obscene speeds. That was quite the rare phenomenon that you caught on camera - and while on land too! _Impressive!_ Keep up the good work my friend.
My 43X with Shield arms 15rd mag has obsoleted my G19. I used to carry my G19 in cool weather because I could wear a jacket to cover the bulk. In warm weather, I usually carried a Khar single stack 9mm. Now, I go with the G43X all year with no problems. I highly recommend the 43X + Shield 15rd mag, I love it!
Lucky Gunner videos are one of my go to resources for firearms. The videos are professional and get right to the point. When friends have asked me questions I usually point them to these videos.
I’m an M&P 2.0 guy, I have the 5” fde and 4” compact which is my edc. I have never owned a Glock but handled the 48 at a gun show b 4 shield arms had that new 15 round mag, which makes me really intrigued. The 48 is the first Glock that felt right in my hand. Thanks for the video
I have a 43x and a 26. The difference reminds me of motorcycle seats. The one that feels best in the showroom is not necessarily the one that feels best after two hours. The 43x feels great in the hand, but in rapid fire the wider grip of the 26 is more secure.
I like the Glock 48 over the 43x because of the slightly longer barrel, it shoots well for me. My wife likes the 43x and does well with it. I have found the best 15 round magazines for the 43x & 48 are from Palmetto State Armory/PSA. They lock back on the last round every time and they feed any and everything. PSA magazines may need a loader after the 6th round and the magazine spring is stiff to ensure good feeding and you don't need to change your mag catch either.
The round shot at 8:24 (the headshot in the failure drill) seems to have broken the sound barrier or something! Looks like a huge vapour cone just formed there!
I read in an interview with the Shield Arms guy that they are working on G43 mag and that it should be a flush fit 9 or 10 round magazine. Glock really needs to partner with these guys. It would push all their platforms back to way in the front of the pack. Figure a 50% increase in glock mags...so a G17 mag would hold 25 flush fit? Wow
@@timewave02012 I wouldn't be so sure about that. The difference between Springfield xD mags and xdm mags is a mm or two of width, and about 4 rounds more capacity with the same overall length. Shield arms might be able to make a 19 round glock 19, which would be pretty cool.
As a Non-glock guy, I've been eyeing up the 48 for about a week now. It may be because my PPS broke and I've had nothing for over a week, but it seems like the 48 is a good pistol, and I had a brief chance to put a small around of lead through one and it didnt seem so bad.
Great review! I love that you focus on how the numbers don't tell the full story. Too many times companies will sell you on stats without regard for fit and function. Looking forward to more content like this.
Great review. I use Glock 19 and 43x for my daily IWB concealed carry. The Glock 43x is very comfortable for appendix carry. I tested both of them on the range and the Glock 19 was more on target than the Glock 43x but I really love the grip feel of the Glock 43x and the Glock 43x doesn't rub my bingo as much lol. I like the Glock 19 15 rounds mag, I only have to carry 2 magazines to have 30 rounds.
The Glock 48 is my favorite Glock I've owned... Seriously love this thing. Just ordered the 43x as well... Gonna stock up on those shield mags and put it to good use.
Just subscribed. I was getting sick and tired of other channels “reviewing” Glocks with shallowness, carelessness, and boredom. Loved this one, straight to the point, makes sense, logical, and fun to watch. Subscribed asap.
You could not have timed this any better. I was pondering the value of a G48, and how it differed between a 365 and XL, and then you upload this that day
They had a pretty nice Shield 9mm long slide at one point, but it appears they stopped making it for reasons unknown. Shield mags are already metal and can't really squeeze in more rounds outside of magguts.
Can't be done but ... yes, that would be fantastic, I would switch back to the Shield in a heartbeat if they got the capacity in line with some of the newer guns coming out.
It’s hard to give just a “thumbs up” to such a consistently great channel. Always well thought out and truly informative content. Fantastic work, I look forward to the next one.
Yes, they do. +2 extension sized, for about 12rds would be nice. Even +1 sized mag with 10rds would be great, and make a +5 extension separately... I'd buy 10 of them.
As always, great video. I've owned two 48s and a 43X and they are great options. I even called the 48 my "Goldilocks" gun recently but since I was introduced to the XL, that opinion has changed. The Tactical Development rail and 15 round magazine made my G19 expendable. I sold it and don't miss it at all. 365 and XL mags are much less expensive at Osage County Guns, both < $40 for the next month.
"Yes, yes they are"... Shield arms 15rd mags, and a metal mag release makes for a smaller package with G19 firepower... Have the 43X set up this way, love it. Still like the G19, but considering picking up a 48 for fun. Got a P10C, and actually like it better than the 19. The 365XL is another I'm interested in... Good times.
I should mention that the 43X is also set up with threaded barrel, tungsten guide rod, a flat face Pyramid trigger, and Talon grips. It is easy to shoot with reasonable accuracy. My Wife's favorite fun gun.
The intro to this was on point! I usually don't laugh this hard. THANK YOU for not taking it too seriously but also presenting a large amount of good information.
I had a 48 for a little while, but I couldn't draw it consistently because the grip was thinner than I am use too and quickly gripping was difficult (I'm a fairly average-sized male). So the G26 came back and the G48 went away. Also didn't like that the mags are basically incompatible with everything, which is a Glock strength point. I can take a G18 mag stuff into my G26, G19x, or PCC. If I take away Glock mag compatibility, I feel like there are better carry guns than Glocks in general, at least for nonLEO carry.
Great video. To clarify: the striker control device only prevents the gun from being fired so long as the force on it is larger than the force on the trigger. With enough force the trigger could overpower the SCD and still go bang. But as long as it’s properly reholstered it is a nice added safety layer. I have them in both my G19s. Love em.
@@k.o.sofficial327 10mm would be cool, but I suspect some of the changes like fewer takedown pin may weaken the glock to much for full house 10mm. But I do like my G29 quite a bit, not as much as my Delta though.
I've owned my glock 17 since 1987 and after 10's of thousands of rounds and it's still reliable like no other polymer gun that I've ever owned....period.
Really appreciate your review! One thing I think you said that made me back up and listen to it again is I believe you put words on why I can’t shoot the 43X as well as I can the 43 as well as I can the 26. The shorter distance to the trigger makes me pull off target more with the 43 but with an extended magazine like an ETS9 round it fits my hand perfectly. There’s literally no change in the shape of my grip whatsoever from full relaxed to full pressure. This is not something I experience with the 26 which has the exact same silhouette. But then you mentioned that the thin grip of the 43 and 43X, or in your case the 48, makes you keep a tighter grip on the gun and if you get sloppy at all it moves around in your hand, and I think that’s exactly what happens to me. I am blessed with a friend who has a range where we can fire from drawing and moving and even shoot at 90° angles and drilling those guns there I lose about 15% efficiency with the 43 in about 30% efficiency with the 43X. Thank you for explaining that! And for anyone else who doubts the trigger placement I would also ask them to try and go from a index finger position to putting their finger on the trigger while holding the sights on target and see if they don’t notice that they end up moving more with a 43 then they do with the 26. I have lasers so it’s easy for me to see how much more I move with those smaller framed closer triggered 43 and 43X guns.
Mike Thomas I never wanted the 43x...until I got it in my hands and shot it. Only time I’ve carried something else in the past year was in the bear woods.
Glock needs to design a new mag that will eliminate that inside liner so it can hold more rounds and make it compatible with older Glocks. It would be a game changer against the competition
I think the G48 would make an excellent military service pistol, here me out here: It's the same philosophy behind the Makarov. The G48 is Light, compact, reliable and inexpensive. It can fall into the roll of an infantryman's secondary weapon, who would appreciate the small size and light weight so he could carry more gear. It would have sufficient firepower for those who carry it as a primary weapon, like an MP. Finally, it would be slim and unobtrusive for an officer carrying it as a badge of rank. I really think there's potential here, and I'll be getting one for my own experiments.
That's a rather fair point, as pistols don't really have much combat application anyway. And this pistol offers far more than a Makarov for the size and weight
You forgot that it has to be Marine-proof. Lock a Marine in a padded room with two stainless steel ball bearings and he will lose one and break the other.
No, the G48 is smaller and thinner so more difficult to shoot than a full size or compact handgun. The military invests almost zero time in training people how to shoot handguns, so I’d rather have a gun people have a better chance of success with rather than one that “looks the part” of an officer handgun.
@@bradleypeterson2208 I own both a Glock 48 and a Glock 19. Both are easy to shoot, and I don’t seem to notice much of a difference in accuracy. The thinner profile of the Glock 48 gives me a more easily concealed option than the Glock 19 (I’m not a particularly tall or large person). My preferred is a Glock 26 with 12 round magazines. That is, until I learned about the Shield Arms S15 magazines. Glock 19 standard capacity with a slimmer profile handgun? I’m sold.
Sticking with the 19. I will take $20 magazines and the sheer ubiquity of the platform. The Glock 48 has $40 magazines if you want the same capacity and is a new, not nearly as prolific platform. The 17/19/26/34/45 eco system is insanely well supported and ideal for a TEOTWAWKI gun. If you want strictly CCW, sure go for it, but the grip of the 48 or 43x is exactly as long as the 19, so there's really no point.
Maybe slightly thinner, and a little lighter, but personal preference is the 19 overall. Especially for OWB. Glock mags are cheap. The 43X for IWB would be more comfortable to me, but it's just a matter of what people like.
Yes there is a point. First I have short fat diabeetus fingers so the 19 is all wrong for me to grip. Even the 17/22 is more comfortable. Don't even get me started on the trigger reach. Second the slim grip is much easier to conceal IWB. The gun literally disappears even when carried at 3 o'clock. It is even small enough to cargo or coat pocket the thing. Third the barrel is actually *longer* on the 48 vs. the 19. Within reason, a longer barrel is always better. Always.
Fair point. However for some of us in restrictive states the double stack as no value. Slimmer and lighter and closer in size to a 19 with the 10 rounds we can have is much appreciated.
I'm moving in the opposite direction. I put my G19 in the safe and now carry a G34 everyday. I shoot it better. Either way, use what works, and train the mindset. Everything else is secondary.
I had a G34, but I carry appendix and my wife got jealous when other ladies kept looking at my crotch... She makes me carry a G26 now. Joking aside, I loved my G34, but these mostly carry guns and think the G19 is about as big most folks go, there are few G17 people, but very few G34.
Jim Fisher I carry a G17 aiwb and I’ve never had any trouble printing, I really don’t get why its so difficult to carry a full size handgun and not print
That is interesting. I have carried many various types of firearms since the early 90s. CZ, S&W, Ruger, Kahr, Glock, Colt... Some revolvers & many autos. I started carrying Compacts a good bit off and on but in past couple years I have gone back to a full size M&P 40 2.0. Getting a leather IWB holster made for it with TLR-7.
@@andrewhenley2161 If you're talking about the giant hole in the top, Gen 5 doesn't have that. It's thinned out where that cut was on the Gen 4 otherwise the slide would be too heavy, but from the outside, it is smooth all the way down the slide.
Enjoyed the footage and perspective. Appreciate your time, dedication, diligence and resources committed to videos. You do the shooting community a true service. Well done. Thank you.
I love the take on "Do Everything" pistol and it's something I never agreed with on the G19. It's my "Do 90% of everything" pick. The issue is caliber. On the previous video about the P365 I mentioned that I am perfectly happy about the dimensions of my G29, and while my opinion there hasn't changed on the matter in the last five days I feel that a slimline 10mm may be a perfect candidate for someone's "Do everything" Glock if it is ever produced. Until then, the G29 neatly falls in line with the "classic double stack" outlined earlier and can fill that last 10% if it's a concern for folks. I don't have much interest in owning a lot of firearms myself, so having a couple pistols that can perform anything I need them to from EDC, hiking, hunting and home defense is a major plus in my book. Who knows, maybe the Glock 49 will be such a pistol? It would be nice to see Glock's model nomenclature follow a pattern for once at the very least. (20, 29, 40, 49)
The G19 will do everything you can ask a handgun to do EXCEPT hunt big game or pocket carry. It does everything else well. Get a micro subcompact and a big bore revolver or a G20 for big game and you’re set. If you can conceal a G21, I’d argue that is a do all with standard pressure rounds for normal and 45 super for hunting/wilderness defense.
Size mostly. The 48 is slimmer than the 19 making it better for carry. Combine that with the 15 round mags and you basically have a 19 that's better for concealed carry
Glock 48 - It blends a lack of capacity with lack of ergos. It isn’t remotely new anymore and it needs an aftermarket mag (w a replacement spring, FFS) to compete but, hey, we have to keep the Glock talk going, so let's pretend it's novel for being a narrow single-stack.
Timothy Garrahan “real shooter” gatekeeper spotted. I guess what you’re saying is it takes practice to make up for inadequacies in some guns that only “real shooters” use effectively while there are other guns a novice can shoot well right out of the box.
I currently purchased a G17 and G20. Thinking of getting the 43x as an everyday concealment option. I like the full size gun for home defense or camping/ hiking protection of the 10mm. The 43x would fulfill the everyday carry option and the others would be for more specialized situations. I like having 1 platform to learn and the no nonsense of striker fired semi autos. I figured if 9mm or 10mm wouldn’t cut it, then a pistol is no longer the right option. I have rifles and shotguns for things a pistol won’t handle. Thanks for the great video.
Still scratching my head why Glock can’t similarly duplicate a magazine also that will hold the few more rounds like the Shield Arms without buying all that extra shit to make it run.....
As soon as you said “to run reliably” for the Shield mags you lost me. My G26 doesn’t need anything to run reliably. Not one malfunction of any sort in thousands of rounds. Secondly, at this stage of the game, Glock should be running rails on all its new guns.
The only reason why it wouldn’t run “reliably” is because the stock mag release is plastic, and the stock mags are plastic. If you run a metal mag with a plastic mag release it could wear it down over time. I imagine you’d have to do a TON of mag changes for that to happen, but the Shield Arms mag release is metal and less than $30, so why the heck not?
@@samuelyoung4646 because as I said. Stock factory flawlessness is more important to me than the added cost of magazines, mag release buttons, and extra power springs for 5 extra rounds. If it works for you......by all means.
These are always extremely good videos with the information I want, well organized, with excellent graphics that make it easy to see exactly what is being demonstrated. Thank you!
Wish you'd give sights the lucky gunner treatment. Three dot vs I dot vs Cap sights vs big dot, etc. Most of us don't have the ability to compare a bunch of different sights on the same gun.
It's really a highly individual thing. I don't think there's a style of sights that best for everyone. But there are some that are bad for almost everyone. For the most part, good shooters tend to prefer a high visibility front sight with a mostly plain (or at least less high-vis) rear sight. The worst sights are the ones where the rear sights and front sight have the same color and contrast (eg, three white dots or Glock's white dot with rear "bucket"). If you have decent eyesight, a thinner front sight blade also tends to be better overall for accuracy, especially at range. Again, not a universal rule, though. U-notch, V-notch, and "express" style sights do not typically offer any advantage at close range for competent shooters, and seriously hinder speed/accuracy beyond about 15 yards (with the caveat that eyesight issues may change the equation somewhat).
@@LuckyGunner Well said. Those "eyesight issues" are a thing for us +50-year-old shooters. I need a coarser sight in my inventory nowadays than I used in the past. My arms simply aren't long enough for a thinner front sight now and bifocals are expensive for the amount of time I'd need to use them (I'm far-sighted now, from 20-20 back in the day). Give me a big dot "express" sight for my defensive handguns now. Lasers are nice too.
@swaghauler I think I'm gonna luck out because pistol red dot sight technology looks like it's going to "come of age" just in time for my eyes to start failing. 40 is just around the corner and my night vision is already garbage compared to 10 years ago.
Great review and comparison as always. My Glock bases are already well covered without a G48, but it's nice to be aware of new models that everyone will be raving about.
@@zzxxooooxxzz4964 For best results make sure it's a used one from the '90s. The newer SIGs I have don't hold a candle to my late '80s to early '90s vintage 220, 225, 226, 228, and 229. Even the fancy Legion 229 my buddy bought just matches the trigger pull on my (bought new in '91) P228. That pistol has the SWEETEST 8lb trigger pull I have EVER experienced in a DA/SA. I bought a 48 early on, but ended up preferring to keep my G43 slide mounted on it (6 o'clock carry) due to lighter weight. The S15 magazines have been AWESOME. Major power in a light, slim package. Any metal mag release works fine with the S15 mags. My fav Glock ever.
I carry a 43X everywhere I go in a OWB Lock leather, under a t-shirt. Very comfortable, easy draw, and I did change the mag release with shield mags 15rds
In the late 1990s I was hunting on public hunting lands. To the east side of my stand there was something maybe 200 yards away that kept reflecting sunlight. I was sitting still yet whatever it was would reflect the sunlight every few seconds, which told me it was moving around. Around 9am or so I got out of my stand and walked in the direction of the item reflecting sunlight. It was a hunter who had a stainless optic on his stainless rifle. We talked for a for a few minutes and I told him I could see the sunlight reflecting off his rifle probably 200 yards away. So when a company like Glock comes out with a shiny frame, remember that story.
I bought a 48 off my buddy. He’s a Sig guy. He bought it when it came out & hated it. I ‘m a Glock guy & love it. Carried a 23/19 for about 10 years. As for Sig & Glock, one is one & one is the other. The 365 is great. I prefer the longer slide. XL or 48. I guess it comes down to personal preference?

I don't think the G19 sized pistols will ever really go away. My prediction is that higher-capacity magazines will become available for the larger pistols. (15 is the new 10, maybe 20 will be the new 15.)
Agree
They might fall out of popularity, but right now these smaller guns rarely come with red dot optics. A 48/43X with an MOS system would be a game-changer for me. I'm only 40, but my eye suck and red dot are a huge help in fast target acquisition. So for now the G19 is as small as I can get in glock line up with their MOS system. But I feel that's going to change in the future.
It doesn't work like that. Glock's double stack is already about as aggressive as it gets.
I believe California sales alone keep the Gen 3 Glock 19 profitable.
timewave02012 why? The trick here was removing the polymer shell from what is already a steel lined magazine. There’s no reason the same couldn’t work with a G19. It may not yield a 50% increase in capacity, however.
I think an aspect of the 48 that people are missing is that this is essentially the 19 for people who live in limited capacity states. I'm in a 10 rd only state, so this is perfect for me as a "do it all gun". Its already great for concealed carry, and if I slap the Recover Tactical pic rail with a light on it, it works great for the house as well.
The production quality of these videos is astounding!
Those size overlays are nice. Great review! Appreciate you being Informative, concise and interesting.
I went into a local shop, put the 365 xl in my hand and then the Glock 48, the 48 was the winner by far for grip. Felt natural in my hands, such a comfortable grip. The 365 xl on the other hand felt weird and not very gripful if that makes sense
Because it has a grip for a 6 year old
Held them both today while looking into buying my first handgun. The 48 fit in my hand better than any of the other ones I held.
Watching this while laying next to my G48
I just bought mine today 😁
So Shield makes a 15 round magazine with a spring in it, and then tells you to buy their extra power 15 round spring in addition? WTF?
Just complain to support and they will send you a free spring lol
I bought 2 mags for my 43x and I will say that the springs are stiff as hell and getting the 15th is hard enough that I just load 14 instead. So, i guess they just come with the mags now. Good quality too.
Its called capitalism.

_Did anyone see that atmospheric cone at the __8:24__ mark?_
It was right after the third shot of the 'Failure Drill'. This is equivalent to the "Mach Cone" that occasionally appears around jet fighters racing through the air at obscene speeds.
That was quite the rare phenomenon that you caught on camera - and while on land too! _Impressive!_
Keep up the good work my friend.
I think that may have just been the concussion blast from the gun activating the automatic vibration reduction sensor on the camera.
Yup. I run a 43x with a TLR-6 and s15 mags daily. I absolutely love this gun.
Bought one last week it's my carry gun now
Damn, that overlay really did put into perspective the size difference between the 48 and 365xl. Appreciate the work Chris!
7:23 - "There's not much room down there for me to conceal anything". I see what you did there lol
The round shot at 8:24 (the headshot in the failure drill) seems to have broken the sound barrier or something!
Looks like a huge vapour cone just formed there!
that is wild!
I installed a Talon Pro Grip on the 48 and 43X and it greatly enhanced my shooting of them.
The Shield Arms mags are a real game changer, I hope they start some for the other Glocks as well!
None of the double stack frames would benefit from what Shield Arms did. Maybe the 36, 42, or 43 could stagger-stack like the 43X/48 with OEM mags.
Just got my 48, I was not a glock guy until this gun. I freaking love it. An all around great gun.
The Glock 48 is my favorite Glock I've owned... Seriously love this thing. Just ordered the 43x as well... Gonna stock up on those shield mags and put it to good use.
I was not considering buying a glock until I saw this video. I bought the 48. Now I'm wanting more glocks. Good job Chris, good job.

Excellent explanation of the features! I thought about the 49 and 43X, but ended up with the 26. They're all good, just pick the one you like!
You could not have timed this any better. I was pondering the value of a G48, and how it differed between a 365 and XL, and then you upload this that day
My wife got me a 48 for my b-day this year and I love it.
Shield arms should make Shield mags lmaoo
They had a pretty nice Shield 9mm long slide at one point, but it appears they stopped making it for reasons unknown. Shield mags are already metal and can't really squeeze in more rounds outside of magguts.

Shield arms to come out with a larger capacity mag for the 43 as well.
When
Yes, they do. +2 extension sized, for about 12rds would be nice. Even +1 sized mag with 10rds would be great, and make a +5 extension separately... I'd buy 10 of them.
If I had to put money on it I'd say it would be an 8 round mag. If you could do 9 with a pinky grip extension, I would buy it.
Shield arms has 10-15 round mags for both the 43 and 48. For like 40 bucks
Tomas Riley shield arms has them. An they have +5 base pads for them too
As always, great video.
Clutch Cargo 365XL seems like a great pick up
The intro to this was on point!
Love em.

Tadicuslegion78 exactly, like why had 40 s&w and 45 acp become so unpopular?
Keep the overlays as part of your already great reviews, that is a really helpful feature.

My 19 has pretty much been a safe queen for the past 16 mths, due to purchasing the 43x.
Same here. 43x so far is the best fit for concealed carry.
Mike Thomas I never wanted the 43x...until I got it in my hands and shot it. Only time I’ve carried something else in the past year was in the bear woods.
@@kirsch1616 that's exactly how I felt and adding the SA mag only made it better.
I’m sold.
This is such a good video, I've never seen this channel but this is better than most gun channel reviews
So its like a short barrel Glock 19 or?
Maybe slightly thinner, and a little lighter, but personal preference is the 19 overall. Especially for OWB. Glock mags are cheap. The 43X for IWB would be more comfortable to me, but it's just a matter of what people like.
andrew cano no the 48 barrel is slightly longer.
8:23 sweet sonic boom I've never seen that before
I'm moving in the opposite direction.
I wish they would make a G34 without the slide lightening cut like the G41. Until then, I’m stuck with a G17
@@andrewhenley2161 If you're talking about the giant hole in the top, Gen 5 doesn't have that. It's thinned out where that cut was on the Gen 4 otherwise the slide would be too heavy, but from the outside, it is smooth all the way down the slide.

Great video, just picked up my 43X and shield arms mags 2 weeks ago. 300 rounds so far zero issues
My understanding is that Glock’s numbering system follows a pattern. That pattern is the sequence in which the models received their patents.
Another excellent video. Good information and presentation. Your videos have always been good, but you are really hitting it out of the park lately!
I like to call these new style “off-set stack”.
It’s staggered stack. Same thing H&K does with the HK45 among others. It’s not a new concept.
2:14 how does that make g19 obsolete? its still shoots bullets doesnt it?
Size mostly. The 48 is slimmer than the 19 making it better for carry. Combine that with the 15 round mags and you basically have a 19 that's better for concealed carry
Glock 48 - It blends a lack of capacity with lack of ergos. It isn’t remotely new anymore and it needs an aftermarket mag (w a replacement spring, FFS) to compete but, hey, we have to keep the Glock talk going, so let's pretend it's novel for being a narrow single-stack.
A “real shooter” can shoot whatever is put in his/her hands. The 48 can’t make up for your incompetency.
Timothy Garrahan “real shooter” gatekeeper spotted.
I guess what you’re saying is it takes practice to make up for inadequacies in some guns that only “real shooters” use effectively while there are other guns a novice can shoot well right out of the box.
Cecil Williams at least the 1911 is ergonomic and doesn’t have plastic sights.
Glock 48 was the first glock I ever bought. After never being a glock fan, I am now a glock fan.
I want shield arms to make metal mags for my favorite Glock, the 30.
That was interesting info on how the longer barrel helps prevent printing.👍
As soon as you said “to run reliably” for the Shield mags you lost me. My G26 doesn’t need anything to run reliably. Not one malfunction of any sort in thousands of rounds. Secondly, at this stage of the game, Glock should be running rails on all its new guns.
They have a railed version of the 48, but idiotically they're selling it only overseas.
@westbender 820 you sure you didn't hold your breath? We now have railed 43x and 48's.

5:30 - 7:20 reminds me why I love this channel so much.
The grip comparison makes this a very informative video. Thank you.
Shot both Saturday. Went with 48. Felt it was more forgiving with extra barrel length
Great video. I just bought a 48 in OD green and black. Love it
I've been carrying my Glock 48 for about a month now and I love it.
Love the videos content quality is top notch 👌
Just picked my 2nd g48 in black yay:) I absolutely love it! Gift from my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary 💕
I bought a 48 after hearing about Shield Arms mags. Awesome combination!
I thought so too until I realized it’s missing the most important piece...the accessory rail to add a light etc
