12:03 +/- You stated he was shot through a car window. I wasn't aware that cars were in North America in the 1880s. I know that Benz was manufacturing them starting in about 1883 or 1884. Could you mean the window of a coach or something? Anyway, you always make awesome content that is very informative and entertaining. Thanks for putting all the effort into it (it really shows).
Thank you my friend, much appreciated, always happy about good feedback. I thought the term of 'car window' to be a train car window but I could be mistaken, cheers 👍
I wonder how many other non-Native American's lived their whole lives with the Native Americans / You have a beautiful collection of Firearms / It's fascinating to me that my Grand Parents could have known Wyat Earp, possibly even my Parents / What we did to the Buffalo is just criminal, and oh so sad. I've heard the tale about the Bulldog before, perhaps by you
.45 LONG Colt is a modern mis nomer, as there never was a SHORT colt. The case head ALWAYS said .45 Colt, matching What is engraved on the Colt single action army revolver, .45 COLT!
Yes it was a slang term from the 1880s to distinguish it from the Schofield, .45, as that one was shorter. It's interesting to note that 45 long colt is still the term Colt use in the marketing of their SAA today, cheers 👍
I am from Texas so naturally I love all things western love this video, is that really A pistol term, as well as a horse term written hard and put up wet because I know it can be applied in a lot of scenarios and I have heard another but it wasn’t very proper lol PS I think you should’ve said white men instead of just men or maybe I heard wrong anyway love the video
@@wildwestfaces thanks for your response. And if that is the case, I hope that kind of action does not leave significant pitting and rust damage, and all the scenarios.
I don't like this AI narrator. I never liked this particular one. I really don't like when he said God made man but Sam Colt made them equal. It's a machine telling me something a human being is supposed to say. Please please stick with a human narrator. Other than that I love this channel.
Thank you for what you do, I look forward to each new episode.
Thank you !! Cheers
That gun collection is magnificent, the Colts were beauties and the pepperbox looked great too.
