    Hi Net.
    Your videos are always well made and, moreover, they are always very useful.
    I have not done this work yet, but I need to do it soon. Also, I will replace thermostat.
    From what I have seen, the elements are very similar to those of my 94 ST202 with 3SGE engine.
    Thank you.

    • @NetsGarage
      @NetsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. Thank you for the compliments! 😊 I'm happy to hear these videos are helpful. Yes, your BEAMS engine should be very similar to my 5S. Perhaps you already know, but here are a few important tips for changing your thermostat: Make sure to get a thermostat with the same temperature rating as factory spec for your engine & also make sure you install the thermostat facing the proper direction. Good luck and thank you for watching the channel. 😀🔧

      @@NetsGarage Hi Net.it is not Beams, I would like to, but in my country there are almost none, and few GT4. Mine is regular 3SGE with 129kw. Anyway, a great sports car.
      I have OEM thermostat checked, and temperature setpoint is 82ºC. I bought new one with new gasket.
      Thanks for your tips and and continue with your unbeatable Celica Gn6 videos.
      Best regards

    On the 94 5s the block drain plug is towards the drivers side, and it’s one big 14mm BOLT. It’s in such a weird crammed position it took me a min to reach it. Anyways Just took it off and barely anything came out, just a lil leak😅 is that normal?
    Update: put back the drain plug 1/5 of the way, took it out to make sure I’m not cross-threading, and then boom: a whole bunch of coolant spilling all over me. Good thing I still had my bucket right next to me. Putting the drain plug back, however, was the hardest part. Took me 30-40 mins to get this single bolt in there.

    • @NetsGarage
      @NetsGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thanks for the update, it's wild that coolant came out after a while. I'm wondering if your engine cooled off and moved the coolant about the system, or maybe something was blocking it? Bizarre. Anyway, the good news is you were able to drain the back of the block. :) And yes, that bolt is SOOOOO hard to get to. Such a PITA. Good luck with flushing your system. I hope your car is running smoothly.

    I have an old 94 GT standard I'm trying to revive. It went down with a radiator leak, and now has mixed coolant in it because previous owner used wrong coolant, or at least not ideal coolant. Anyway, I have the new radiator, and I want to install it. But I want to double or triple clean out the coolant. I want none of the old coolant left when I install the new radiator and and add new coolant.
    Do you have any tips that might help me out?
    TIA...

    • @NetsGarage
      @NetsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Celica friend! You can always flush the system several times, with the old radiator, before installing the new one. That way any goop you break up doesn’t end up in your new radiator. You can also watch the color change each time you do a flush to see it get clearer. That way you’ll be able to monitor how clean things are getting. Also, don’t forget to drain the back of the block. It’s a little hard to get to but totally worth it. I did include draining the back of the block in this video. Good luck, and thanks for supporting the channel. 😀🔧

    I have a 94 gt manual and I cant find that block plug. You got another angle of it? Thanks.

    • @NetsGarage
      @NetsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Phia. If it makes ya feel any better, I had trouble finding the plug myself! I don't have any additional footage of it, I hardly got the camera in there to film it in the first place. The best way I can describe getting to it would to be to start from the pass side axel area, car was on stands and I was laying on the ground. Then with a flash light you wanna look way up and to the left of the back of the block (facing towards the front of the car). If you don't see it, you can always skip this step and it won't be the end of the world. Good luck!
      *Also - and I haven't been able to confirm this yet - but I'm wondering if that coolant drain plug was added to later versions of this engine.

    • @phiayang9449
      @phiayang9449 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NetsGarage Thanks. I looked everywhere but didn't see one. Maybe the GT doesn't have one. You know if the rear windshield nozzle has a separate pump? My rear nozzle stopped working and I couldn't hear anything when I pushed for fluid. oh boy. thanks again.

      The TRD cap was a gift, isn't it pretty?! I love it. 🤩
      Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was purchased on Ebay, special order, because the seller didn't offer it with the appropriate psi cap pressure rating for the Celica.
