- Hello and welcome to the Sapper Woodworking channel. Have a seat and enjoy over 17 minutes of solid segmented wood turning and no more than 18 seconds of sanding!
In today's video were turning some beautiful hard maple and black walnut into a medium size segmented vase. Lots or boring and tedious voice commentary so be sure to mute the audio! The vase is about 9 inches tall. Thank you to Angelia for the great up-cycled blue trays which are regularly used in the shop.
How do you like the video? Comments? Concerns? Suggestions?

amazing, Very well done. New lathe taking care of business. Less than 18 seconds of sanding! Impressive.
Yes indeed it is. Working on a video tool review
Yay math! (and nice appearance of a CRAM shirt). Cool project.
Thank you mister Grossart.
Very pretty vase! Beautiful work. Subscribed and looking forward to more of your projects
Thank you! Another vase is in the design process; which of course is just a pencil and paper. Cheers, Michael
Very nice.
Thank you!
Wow!!!1
Much thanks!
Very nice. Are you turning on the Harvey T-60S?
Jamie, thank you! Yes I’m using my brand new T-60S. Starting to work up a video review….stay tuned!
@@SapperWoodworking That lathe is a beast. I got to see one at the Indiana State fair. I am a member of the CIWW and I saw your ad for the Laguna and I was wondering what you upgraded to. I look forward to the video review.
I demoed on this lathe for 4 days at the Indiana State fair, I loved my Laguna lathe, but after using the Harvey for a few days, I couldn’t pass up getting one. No regrets so far.
