This isn’t actually a landline phone, it takes a SIM card making it a GSM phone, basically a mobile/cell phone meant to look like a landline phone, it’s basically made for businesses without a landline that don’t want to use there own or someone else’s cell/mobile phone

It's just so nostalgic, I'm not sure how anyone can see this thing run and not constantly think of the old landline phones we used to use lol

In the 90's Amstrad brought out a landline fone with a ZX Spectrum built inside, I remember it well because one of my homebrew games appeared on it and I demanded they took it off as it was a magazine subscription game I made free for the magazine and not for bloody Alan Sugar who is one of the most toxic human beings and was not having it, they removed it from the fone so my little victory. I used to see Sugar on the Liverpool St to Brentwood train, he would light up one of his passing cloud cigars and go and sit next to folks in the no smoking compartments wreathing them in massive smoke clouds until they moved or got off the train, I was a nurse in the hospital nearby and man what an utter tit Sugar was...
I mean yeah it's got a smartphone inside but it's impressive how accurate they got this to a "real" landline phone with the custom casing, etc. Literally the only thing missing is the cable connecting it to the wall. They even got the old school style with the corded phone and everything 😂

Otherwise, it's essentially the same, just beefed up with smart capabilities. But this thing was very clearly custom built to look and function like a landline phone. It's even got the corded phone and very similar mechanics to old landline phones. If you search landline phone on google images, half the images that pop up look just like this phone. Saying it's a landline phone is the simplest and most understandable term, and everyone, except about 5% of people apparently, understand this. I don't understand why that 5% of people are getting so irked at this being called a landline phone when that is so obviously what it was built to look like and function like.
