The wreath falling is so relatable. I’m so happy to see a video where everything doesn’t come together without a bead of sweat. I’ve done this kind of decorating for years and some thing always, always goes wrong and makes you wonder why you do it in the first place. And I have moved before against my will where I wanted to cry and missed my old house. This is 100% relatable.
You’re just adorable. So “real” !!!! When the wreath fell I felt your pain LOL!! Maybe a door hanger for wreaths is what you need (or a new door). Everything you do is terrific. Love your videos. ❤
Military wife here! I totally relate to having a hard time making a house feel like home. It honestly takes me a solid year to get to know the place and make it ours. You’ll both warm up to each other soon enough. Till then, everything is beautiful!
The struggle is real coming from a Victorian home to a modern house ! I miss your Victorian so much as I’m sure you do to ! So so glad to hear you still own it ! Maybe after the kiddos are grown you’ll move back in there ! Great job on the front with good old Mr and Mrs skeletons all around ! ❤
Since the outside your home is warm tones, a snowy woodland theme would look beautiful. Red plaid, furry, and burlap fabrics and textures. Lots of pinecones, animals (snow owl, deer or moose, squirrels, Cardinals), and pine trees with white lights, big snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.
@@PreethaPaul I neverrrrrrrrrr reply to comments on TH-cam, but your blatant display of jealousy requires a response. You just can’t handle the fact that Lauren is rich AND beautiful AND smart AND educated AND works a great job AND has a family of her own AND is a great mom AND is kind/relateable/friendly. I am with you Lauren, I am also having a hard time watching for the usual victorian era and lovely decorating. New homes just don't have the character you want them to have. It makes it so hard to make these type of homes have it. But if anyone can figure it out , I think you will surprise me and fit it all into the decorating theme. Thanks for sharing the Halloween decorating with us. So cute!!! Have a wonderful day 😀
My doors are metal so I attach strong magnets to decor and hooks to get them to stick to the doors. You have a beautiful sense of style. Your home always seems so welcoming.
Its looks FANTASTIC. Thanks for keeping it real. We all want our families to be happy and have fun during these Holidays….going with the flow….awesome job as always 🍁🍂👻🧟♀️
I can so relate to the wreath falling. I bought a wreath holder that just hooks over the door, no nails or screws!. You can use it year round and it doesn't mess up your nice door. Enjoy all your videos!
Lauren I absolutely love your attitude when things don't go as planned. I feel your struggles. I have these huge bats that I put above my door. Our Texas winds kept blowing them down and I have to get on a 18 ft ladder. We went back and forth before I was about to call it quits then I said what would Lauren do, be patient and laugh.
Every upload of your videos is like a present! 🎉 They make me happy - love your content! And I've been so curious to see how you were going to take your holiday decor and make your new house a home - and so far you're hitting a home run! Miss your grand old home but loving what you're doing to your new place - Well done, Lauren! ~~MaryAnn p.s. just get a metal over the door wreath hanger from the dollar store and paint it the same color as your front door. It'll be completely camouflaged and will securely hold whatever you want.
Aww Lauren, I love what you did outside. Having all the skeletons waving like that in a friendly welcoming way is so creative. It all came out great!!! Happy Halloween!
OMG!! Lauren, your Halloween decorations are so flippin' cute! I LOVE the skeletons. Also love honest TH-camrs who let us see the struggles. You did an awesome job, your neighbors will love it!! 💀💀🧡🧡
I completely understand the struggle of going from a house that is full of charm and elegance to a builder grade house. I had the same experience. When we built our house it felt like it lacked the warmth that the old house had. But the space your family gets with the new house makes up for it! In the long run you’ll be so happy to have storage and space. Think of the new house as a blank canvas that you can do whatever you want! You’re doing great girl! Don’t worry in time it will feel like home. 💗
Make sure when you put the command strip on the door you use rubbing alcohol first. Then let it kinda adhere for about an hour before hanging anything. I'm also having difficulties with my Halloween decorations the wind is crazy here in Michigan my animatronics keep falling!😂😭
I've been dying to see this.. but girl I can totally tell your not feeling it this year and I didnt either! I usually love spooky season but I couldn't get into it this year.. ready for xmas!
You did an amazing job Lauren! I can relate on so many levels. I get so frustrated sometimes when it comes to decorating. I love your realness and it will get better in your new home. I have been in my home for 4 years now and it's now starting to feel familiar. It takes time. You got this! I would deck that beautiful arch walkway out with garland and lights. A wreath on the door of course and two of your birch prelit trees flanking the door.
The porch looks great, Lauren! Thank you for keeping it real. When we moved out of our home of twelve years it was so difficult to try any get motivated to decorate our new space. Decorating felt so natural, so I understand when you say, you have to get to know the house.
Love this adorable display....you always do fantastic with everything Lauren and always look fantastic too.......thanks for sharing and Happy Halloween!
Amazing job Dear Lauren...bravo. To show us your bloopers means live full life without shame which shows us how to embrace vulnerability and imperfections. 😍
Weve all been there, I love that you keep it real and ask for solutions... it helps everyone viewing. Not sure because of the height of your door, but an over the door wreath holder might work.
I feel your pain, we moved into our new house almost a year ago (the week before Thanksgiving) and it’s been so hard trying to figure out how to decorate & make it feel like our old home. Just give yourself some grace, you always figure out how to make it absolutely stunning. It took you years to figure out how to decorate your Victorian, you’ll figure out this one too 🥰
Yesss Lauren, I am so looking forward to decorating for Christmas, literally gonna start as soon as November starts (some of my family thinks that’s way too early 😂)! Side note, every new start is shaky! I’m just now learning how to decorate & make the most of the holidays for my 3 little girls and it’s been lots of trial & error lol. You got this girl! Such a hard working mama! We’re all thankful you’re showing us the real! Thanks so much for the content it’s inspiring!
I had four little boys, and I had to learn how to connect with them in creative ways! Their Dad taught them all the manly stuff and I taught them to create a scene, for any holiday. 🍂🍁🍂To this day, they still love it when I decorate the house and they like to join in . My youngest son bakes with me he said one day ,Mom I want you to know it was never about the baking, it was all about spending time with you! Boy's need their Mom's too! There in college now and looking to date and get married, so they can have families of their own one day!
Moving in general is such an adjustment and viewers can see how much you loved the Victorian house. I hope that your new house starts to feel more like home as the holiday season goes on!
I can see why you miss your old house it was so charming but it was perfect 🤩 and this house is full of opportunity! It’s so normal and average. I look forward to seeing how you transform it and make it your own!
Lauren, i really enjoyed this video - it was so honest and realistic with the struggle and the way you tried to take ist with humor. But in the end you made it work so beautifully. I guess your kids are pretty happy and love the skeleton family 😉 lots of love from germany 😘

It looks fantastic. You always do a great job with decorating inside and outside. The children will absolutely love this and have fun on halloween. I have a metal front door and use a wreath hanger, it hooks over the door and you can close the door no problem. Have a blessed day. Two thumbs up Lauren.
It turned out really cute. A neighbor a few streets down from us, always put up a new display each year as to what the skeletons are doing. They also have a fake black cat that they move around their yard from day to day, which is fun to spot where the cat is.. They have skeleton dogs, so Chewy might want to be represented. If they have dogs they may have cats too. :) I don't know how you get so much done in a day, but it's impressive. Happy Halloween.

Oh the joys of stucco! We moved during Christmas of 2020 and I absolutely felt confused and lost on how to enjoy my new home for the holidays! I understand your frustration. You will find what “fits” the new house. Give yourself some grace ❤
Loved this 💀 girl I felt for you when that wreath kept falling down 🥰 you did an awesome job though as usual, the skeleton theme is cool and I loved the ghosts in the tree and the little tombstones 🪦🖤
It turned out really cute. I know you must miss your beautiful old house. Once you get use to the new house you will love it. You make your home always look so lovely. I am excited to see how your new house is going to look. You can use a magnet. I use them on my side garage door.
Hi Lauren, I think the decorations are awesome. Perfect placement. It is very hard to get use to a new home. Once you have it they way you want you will feel much better. Have a wonderful evening.
Hi Lauren! Try magnetic hooks for your door. I have metal doors and magnets are really great for holding up decorations. Large magnets with hooks are great, be careful not to scratch the door. I put a small piece of paper between the door and magnet. I hope this helps. I love your videos! Brenda
When we had a metal front door we used an over the door wreath hanger. You see the stem of it, but it worked. They make some pretty ones now too. Everything turned out great!
Yeah, the struggle is real. The worst is when everything is finally in place and "secure" but then a storm comes in and blows everything all over the place and you basically have to start all over.
Lauren hi you are an amazing person! You will adjust really well to your new home. I didn't think I would? I wanted my other home back. But it worked out well!! And yes fir Christmas 🎄 I was thinking three winter wonderland tree with maybe some polar bears for your four children with Icicle lights and snow ❄️. Depending on what theme you are going for? Keep up the beautiful decorating, cooking, baking and cleaning!! Happy holidays!!
I understand how you feel, its not always easy. I grew up in the military and I moved a lot growing up. Each house is different and speaks its own language, just as I would learn the house and it's language and start having a working relationship with it I would move. Homes are like members of your family since it houses your family to move is not always easy. Be patent with yourself on this journey.
Every mom can relate to this, we love you Lauren! 💜

I also miss your old house. The Victorian was unique and was the perfect canvas for all of your seasonal decorticating. I especially loved your porch.
I appreciate your complete honesty Lauren with the struggles of moving and settling in to make a home. This is going to be such a beauty ❤️🏡

It looks wonderful. You are doing a great job! ❤
