This is a very timely video. I bought 6 bushels of apples last weekend because of the great price. 😂 I knew it would be a lot on my plate with homeschooling, having a 4 month old baby, and trying to manage regular cooking and rhe homestead chores while canning a bunch of applesauce. But I'm more than halfway through them since I've worked on it a bit each day! Feels good to display all the pretty jars. ❤
@@EveryPeachInReach wow, you have a lot on your plate! I admire you in all the valuable tasks you are doing. Each of those jobs is important in caring for your family. Enjoy snuggles with your little one! I miss those precious baby days.
Thank you so much for watching my video. I'm so glad to hear it was a blessing to you. I hope you can give yourself grace and do a little at a time...pack one box at a time. 📦 How exciting to move to a new home!
God always knows *exactly* what I need to see and when… ❤ I always try to do *everything* all at *once*, which we know doesn’t work well… i’ve been feeling so overwhelmed lately.. i’ll definitely be trying “bite size” tasks this week..
@@NobodySpecial509 well, I think you are somebody special! I'm so glad God used this video to encourage you. That is my desire to uplift and encourage others. Breaking tasks down into manageable chunks has been life-changing for me.
I just came home from the hospital, having a bout of psychosis. This is the second time…The first time happened a few months after having my 4th baby. I think I was tracking a little more than one apple at a time. A lot of extras, too much mentally going on… sometimes you gotta step down to the basics. So again, it’s a day by day thing. And as my friend, older lady from my church always says, “a step at a time.” And I’ll also be thinking, an apple at a time, too. Thanks for the peaceful video. And love the piano. 😊 I also play. And in former years, loved to write. :)
My babies are now grown. But babies #3 & #4 were born 15 minutes apart! Here's a line from a poem I remember: *Oh, cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, But children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep. I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep.* PS: I'm praying for you! ❤
My heart goes out to you with the trials in your life. I'm so glad this video was a blessing. We truly cannot do more than God intends for us to do, and something I have often found is that God's will for my life is so much gentler than my will for me. One of my favorite verses when I'm having trouble with my thoughts is Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. You are truly blessed to have 4 babies. Not everyone has that blessing, myself included. I look with wonder on mothers with larger families and I see such blessing. May God strengthen you and give you grace for each day as you gain momentum. Snuggle those babies and love on them! One more of my favorite verses is Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I'm so glad you enjoyed the piano music. I have a lot of piano videos that you may find relaxing. Playing hymns is such a stress reliever for me. May you find Jesus to be the Rest you need. I will pray for you, new friend!
This video popped up, and at first, I just saw the title, and then I realized it was you. What a beautiful video! I really needed to hear this, and I love how you told the story of the apples. Hello. This video just popped up in my feed. I really enjoyed the peaceful and tranquil sound of your voice. I have an empty nest now..but I still struggle to get it all done. This message was very timely. Thank you for the gentle reminder that it's ok to slow down..do a little bit every day..and somehow our tasks are completed. 🙏🏽💕
You are so welcome! I'm learning, just like you, and certainly haven't arrived. My husband often tells me to slow down. And you know what? When I'm at rest and peaceful in my mind and heart, I'm actually the most productive. Thank you for commenting!
Well done - thank you for that Mrs. Qurollo. I completely agree and have often shared similar encouragement with many stressed and frustrated individuals over the years. I remind them that "every big achievement is made up of small steps, so focus on doing the necessary little things. In time, the big things will be accomplished." While everyone desires the grand and glorious outcomes, it seems fewer people appreciate the value of diligence and consistency.
@@jessejamesq403 well said! It's often the faithful, consistent people who are the quiet, behind the scenes type of people who actually get the work done. It takes self discipline to keep at a task day after day, or week after week.

How timely for me to stumble upon this! I have set myself a deadline for end of year to complete a bedroom makeover in a room that has what I call "the repository of all the things." I have to clean out the closet in there to find space to store some of the items in the room (like blankets and seasonal throw pillows). I was making good headway and then all of a sudden it seemed so overwhelming! I had trash and donate and keep piles everywhere! It was going on 10 pm and I had neither showered nor eaten supper. I was about to walk away, but I caught myself. I knew that if I let it beat me then, I might let it beat me next time and if I left it scattered then, it would be so easy just to shut the door and forget about my goal for the room. I said to self, "let's haul out the trash" I took it straight out to the truck. Back inside I said "bag up all the donate and out to the truck with it" I was left with the keep/not yet ready to part with pile. I vacuumed the closet floor, put those items in a bin and slid it to the back. I was then able to use some of my newfound floor space to store some items that had been lining the bedroom walls! This morning, I carried all the items to either the donate shop or the landfill. I have the other side of the closet to tackle today, but I'm feeling like it is possible! One apple at the time!!
@@tiffanybrantley23 I love your progress! One step at a time! It's so easy to get overwhelmed, but I've learned to focus my mind on one task at a time, even if something else is screaming for my attention. So glad you were encouraged!
I have a room like that. I've decluttered it more than once, but it's got out of control again. I have been just opening the door and shoving things in. It's overwhelming. I keep thinking I don't know where to start, but maybe with the floor? Then I can at least get in there without risking my neck!
this reminds me of being a little girl and standing at the sink while my mom peeled apples,,waiting to eat the apple peel. it was so fun if she peeled it in one long piece
