I feel like Judas would attack you from behind and THEN start his monologue. And if you try to shoot him, he just disappears and teleports to a different spot like it was just an illusion. And if you shoot him too many times, he becomes enraged and attacks you instead of finishing the monologue
I really like the terminal entry for Judas. It implies that if someone else had come to rule heaven, perhaps even Gabriel himself, hell may have become a livable realm. After all, we know that Gabriel is only acting on behalf of the council, and the idols and ferrymen prove that he does seem to believe there is hope for those condemned to hell. Really makes you wonder how things would've gone had he been in charge of things
v1 would eventually arrive in hell either way, and probably wreak just as much havoc as it did in canon. its definitely certain that the massacre would be more of an atrocity on par with what happened on earth, since the sinners would most likely just be civillians with some exceptions. this is assuming hell itself mightve played the long game and (this is a headcanon, im not exactly sure but im certain its implied) sent the message to all of the machines that remained on earth with the blood is fuel hell is full stuff and not taken offense to redeeming sinners that gabriel would've granted mercy towards (ex. ferryman) and found a way to mess shit up for the sake of it because its a funni sadistic superorganism lol. the sisyphean insurrection probably wouldve happened regardless, though thats just more of a gut feeling than actual extrapolation of the possibility, and minos' city would probably be more restrictive to "loving" since yknow, lust is still a sin but its debatable if gabe decides the city deserves to be razed to the ground for it. highly doubt that though, i dont think minos is the type of guy who allows people as grievous as grapeists to live in the walls of his city with his whole schtick, but then again the whole minotaur and "past mistakes" that im certain refers to the mythos he came from... hm...

It probably wouldn't even matter if Minos would become a prime soul during the fighting, as he'd be overwhelmed by machines and die. Same with Sisyphus and whoever is behind the door of P-3. The outcome would remain the same

Abandon all hope machine= judas does and upercut combo: two straight punches moving towards the player and an uppercut at the end. Burn!= judas throws a big, flame projectile at the player that is basically like minos but its non-pariable. Suffer as a have: judas does a kick combo in the air, two kicks (like sisyphus) then its like the “PREPARE THEYSELF” exploding dropkick. Perish, a simple but cool flame kick, in second phase he can do two or three. Judas will also have 135 hp in first bar and 190 in the second
EXTRA, before judas dies, he will hand you over an arizona fruit punch can and then melt it so that you can absorb it and get 250 health for the next level you do!

This makes perfect Sense too (divine comedy nerd here) 9 or Treachery is a giant frozen lake, so i expect to be in an icy cavern, with no flesh prison boss or whatever and just find, a soul, trapped in ice, and Judas is one of the great betrayers so this makes sense.
I really love the idea that the angelic council and by proxy Gabriel committed the very same sin that got Judas trapped down there, I also really like that they cant contain Judas at all and the only reason he didnt slaughter everyone was because he calmed down.

Judas Prime is a beast to tackle. Roughly the same health as his contemporaries. "Nothingness!" He summons a scythe from his flaming wreckage of a right arm and preforms a 3-step combo with it, ending with a black hole being summoned. "Prepare Yourself!" He punches the ground, his arm striking deep into the earth and creating a shockwave, and turns the floor into a hazard three times in rapid succession. All damage dealt by this move is immediately turned into hard damage. Can be done from the ground or the air. "Obliterate!" Similar to the Flesh Tesseract attack, he throws a bundle of 30 coins into the air and they spread out. They stay floating in the air until his next attack, where one will detonate and hitscan to the next coin. Once this attack hits the last coin in the air, it will deal twice as much damage as how many coins the attack has chained between and explodes for as much damage as the same. These coins will not chain your attacks between them, but will chain to your coins. "Too Easy!" He summons a scythe and slams it against the ground, sundering it and producing spiked ground in sequence until it hits a wall. Each spiked earth pile is bigger than the last and produces a short-lived shockwave when spawned. They last around 2 seconds and act as obstacle and a hazard - dealing 50 points of damage on touch. It is instant death if V1 is caught inside. If you use the Knuckleblaster or Whiplash against him, Judas has a chance to steal it instead of preforming a damaging move... "This is mine." He will be able to use that arm until you literally parry it back off of him. The whiplash is particularly dangerous as he can just drag V1 to him and preform ether Nothingness or Too Easy upon them, which usually results in instant death or near enough to be. He can dodge high damage moves, instant kills, or shotgun parries; taunting V1 with "Nuh uh uh!" and literally actually wagging his finger at the machine. He also has a set of "default attack" moves taken from the other two primes that he can use at random. These are always parriable though.
I just had an idea, and it goes off of the increasing power moves seen from P-1 to P-2. Minos had to wait for you to bust him out of the Flesh Prison, and even then he didn't form until he hit the ground. Yeah, he'll dropkick you, but that's about it. Didn't wanna lose to you. Sisyphus, on the other hand, was capable of tearing open the Flesh Panopticon after it took only a little damage, while being fully-formed inside of it. And he's having a fun time seeing your skills. Died laughing, too. What the heck is Judas Prime gonna do? When that beat drops, he's not gonna hit you with something hard enough to send you to another dimension like you were expecting. He's not that fired-up (yet) about your special talents. But the beat doesn't drop when he starts moving. The music stops all together. Without any music playing he's gonna slowly pace in circles around you, watching every move you make, beckoning you to try your best. The worst part is that he's not going to initiate any real attacks besides probing you. Not until you make the first move. The moment you send an attack at him, he's gonna throw you for a loop like you just tried to duel the fastest hand in the west. You're gonna be terrified, not because he's angry at you for what you did nor because he's just having a brawl, but because he knows treachery against God and the angels almost as much as V1. He doesn't even remember the reason for being in treachery. I get the feeling he'd find out halfway through the fight, igniting the flames that were dormant inside him. Judas Prime was the better V2 to V1's rivalry.
What an epic remake of the old version. From giving Judas an actual intro and outro to it feeling way more grandiose than before. I got the sense that despite us knowing that he will meet the same fate as Minos and Sisyphus, that this really is Judas' last fight and is willing to throw everything he's got at V1. Never before have I wanted an Ultrakill OC to become an official part of the game's continuity so badly.
Soundtrack? PURE GLOW UP, in each single aspect, from drums to guitars! Lore? Outstanding! Carefully written, nearly flawless, catches attention well, and even Gabriel was here, even feeling GUILT over his own decisions, and then Judas feeling the same after comitting the same sin! Simply 10/10
aight i was expecting this to be good, but i didn’t expect it to SLAP HARDER THAN JUDAS’S THIGHS BRO it has such a grand feel now with the bells/added synths, but the breakdowns and guitar are even more brutal and epic than before, the amen breaks are awesome, and you somehow made the motif even better than before (the violin at the end is also a nice callback to the original teaser) probably the best fanmade ultrakill soundtrack i’ve listened to, and that’s a very high bar
It would be cool if he had a style bonus for killing Judas and using exactly 30 coins in reference to the thirty pieces of silver he got for betraying jesus.
I know there's no reward for beating a prime sanctum (besides bragging rights), but being able to turn the marksman coins silver with a red trail would be so sick
Everything to the extended intro and outro, the heavier guitars and blaring drums. All of it. There's so much I want to say and yet so little I can because I cannot express how amazingly upgraded this track is. Unironically the best of the best in the Ultrakill Fan-OST scene. Amazing job once again to you and Quad for making one of the best of the best even better than it was before. May Judas' vengeance be sweet.
While I doubt that Judas is going to be in P-3, I really would like to see this take on Treachery and P-3 as a mod in the future. It's got a really fantastic concept and the music is stellar. Love the terminal entries you've been writing up as well!
I was personally hoping P-3 would be the devil, with hell itself as his flesh prison. But given what we saw in the Minotaur’s lore entry, it’s likely to be the king that gave it to Minos and I doubt Lucifer is allowed to give presents to the people running his prison.
@@ronald1416 Judging from what we know about the lore, I actually think that Hell itself created the Minotaur. It does seem to have a sadistic sense of humor, after all, and who else has been known to create demons at will?
During the fight, maybe your coins turn silver as a cool visual and also maybe they have unique properties. Like the coin dmg multiplier is higher with the silver coins, but 2 ricochets are always bounced off it, one bouncing towards Judas and the other towards yourself. it'll do more damage to your enemy but it'll hurt you as well unless you time your dash. Basically a simple high risk/ high reward. Just an idea though.
Ultrakill is all about having control over the weapons and techniques you use. So I don't think it'd be a good idea game design-wise. Good reference though!

Daedalus seems like a big contender for P-3 because in myth he created the Minotaur. However in the terminal description the whited out letters don’t have room to spell Daedalus leaving 2 options: “Hell itself” or “King Judas”

The headcanon for Judas really sounds nice. I imagine that Gabriel's betrayal of Judas and his people came from not his own will, but the demands of the Council. Gabriel really does want to follow the will of God, but the lore for Judas makes me think that the council was lying to him about God's wishes this whole time.
I like to think that unlike other souls, he has no resentment for heaven and instead realized the corruption of the council way before the events of the game. Thus, he attempted to dethrone the council, but as Judas was seen as a traitor, the entirety of heaven fought before him. As he had no army in attempt to come off as friendly, he was brutally murdered. However out of the pure stress and determination to atone, as well as hell energy, his prime soul came to be with unparalleled power. That’s my headcanon, as it kind of goes in line with Judas during the crucifixion. He could also be the king of the Fraud layer due to being a fake friend of Jesus
In this context, Judas Prime makes me think of a few things about cowards of life. He was the literal definition of one in the Bible, after all. He was too scared to live with his mistakes, but too afraid to die knowing deep down he's a treacherous disciple. But what happens when you give someone who did everything wrong, knew it, hated it, and lived and died through it to be given a second chance? I think the prime soul thing is the most insane coward's hindsight and something else, idk. Wait no, he's on chance #3 in life as a prime soul now. That's gotta do something more than just hindsight after seeing what Gabriel and the other angels did to him. As the saying goes, you don't know a good thing until it's gone. This man was brought into the circle of Jesus' disciples (though notice he was often listed last, as he was loved the least, while Jesus' innermost circle of friends were James, John, and Peter (Simon).) and never truly gave himself to the cause. Something something idk how to end this. -This ain't your typical loser isekai protagonist-

This got such a glowup, the original was already faithful to hakita's style but this turns up the quality without losing anything I loved about the original
The new style for Judas is awesome, the old one felt like Judas was some ethereal being. This version shows the vibrant hatred that Judas had and the fire is just an insanely good aesthetic choice. I think a burn mechanic would be cool. Something like Judas’ callout attacks rapidly tick with hard damage and you have to heal in order to stop it. Love the remaster, stays true to the original and adds just enough flavor to be new. Edit: After listening to it a second time this I love how there’s more intensity and chaos in the drums than before, this also applies to the entire song but it’s way more noticeable in the drums.
As primes being the final boss of Acts due to how primes usually coming out after the Gabriel encounters, I would probably expect something like Judas to be incredibly fast without having much things that you can parry and heal off of because of so. How you would heal during the fight is attacking him when his attacks have after lag since primes also are a test to see how you improve your survival time throughout the layers before you you move on to a different act. 7:26
I feel like the next prime boss will be Tantalus Prime, all of the prime bosses thus far have been of Greek origin, and it would fit treachery as Tantalus betrayed the gods and snuck Ambrosia back to his people

All the Prime Souls have their own way of demeaning V1. I like to imagine that the third Prime won't even directly address V1 when they're talking, because V1 is just a machine.
i feel like, because of how sisyphus prime just broke out of the flesh panopticon when it got to like half health, that whatever p-3 is (my favorite is judas) will just instantly break out of the flesh dimension/tesseract when the battle begins

This makes perfect Sense too (divine comedy nerd here) 9 or Treachery is a giant frozen lake, so i expect to be in an icy cavern, with no flesh prison boss or whatever and just find, a soul, trapped in ice, and Judas is one of the great betrayers so this makes sense.
I really love the idea that the angelic council and by proxy Gabriel committed the very same sin that got Judas trapped down there, I also really like that they cant contain Judas at all and the only reason he didnt slaughter everyone was because he calmed down.
With every Prime Soul that’s conceptualized, Gabriel’s lore expands beautifully :0

Judas Prime is a beast to tackle. Roughly the same health as his contemporaries.
"Nothingness!"
He summons a scythe from his flaming wreckage of a right arm and preforms a 3-step combo with it, ending with a black hole being summoned.
"Prepare Yourself!"
He punches the ground, his arm striking deep into the earth and creating a shockwave, and turns the floor into a hazard three times in rapid succession. All damage dealt by this move is immediately turned into hard damage. Can be done from the ground or the air.
"Obliterate!"
Similar to the Flesh Tesseract attack, he throws a bundle of 30 coins into the air and they spread out. They stay floating in the air until his next attack, where one will detonate and hitscan to the next coin. Once this attack hits the last coin in the air, it will deal twice as much damage as how many coins the attack has chained between and explodes for as much damage as the same. These coins will not chain your attacks between them, but will chain to your coins.
"Too Easy!"
He summons a scythe and slams it against the ground, sundering it and producing spiked ground in sequence until it hits a wall. Each spiked earth pile is bigger than the last and produces a short-lived shockwave when spawned. They last around 2 seconds and act as obstacle and a hazard - dealing 50 points of damage on touch. It is instant death if V1 is caught inside.
If you use the Knuckleblaster or Whiplash against him, Judas has a chance to steal it instead of preforming a damaging move... "This is mine." He will be able to use that arm until you literally parry it back off of him. The whiplash is particularly dangerous as he can just drag V1 to him and preform ether Nothingness or Too Easy upon them, which usually results in instant death or near enough to be.
He can dodge high damage moves, instant kills, or shotgun parries; taunting V1 with "Nuh uh uh!" and literally actually wagging his finger at the machine.
He also has a set of "default attack" moves taken from the other two primes that he can use at random. These are always parriable though.

I just had an idea, and it goes off of the increasing power moves seen from P-1 to P-2.
Minos had to wait for you to bust him out of the Flesh Prison, and even then he didn't form until he hit the ground. Yeah, he'll dropkick you, but that's about it. Didn't wanna lose to you.
Sisyphus, on the other hand, was capable of tearing open the Flesh Panopticon after it took only a little damage, while being fully-formed inside of it. And he's having a fun time seeing your skills. Died laughing, too.
What the heck is Judas Prime gonna do?
When that beat drops, he's not gonna hit you with something hard enough to send you to another dimension like you were expecting. He's not that fired-up (yet) about your special talents.
But the beat doesn't drop when he starts moving. The music stops all together.
Without any music playing he's gonna slowly pace in circles around you, watching every move you make, beckoning you to try your best. The worst part is that he's not going to initiate any real attacks besides probing you. Not until you make the first move.
The moment you send an attack at him, he's gonna throw you for a loop like you just tried to duel the fastest hand in the west. You're gonna be terrified, not because he's angry at you for what you did nor because he's just having a brawl, but because he knows treachery against God and the angels almost as much as V1.
He doesn't even remember the reason for being in treachery. I get the feeling he'd find out halfway through the fight, igniting the flames that were dormant inside him.
Judas Prime was the better V2 to V1's rivalry.
What an epic remake of the old version. From giving Judas an actual intro and outro to it feeling way more grandiose than before. I got the sense that despite us knowing that he will meet the same fate as Minos and Sisyphus, that this really is Judas' last fight and is willing to throw everything he's got at V1.
Never before have I wanted an Ultrakill OC to become an official part of the game's continuity so badly.
Soundtrack? PURE GLOW UP, in each single aspect, from drums to guitars!
Lore? Outstanding! Carefully written, nearly flawless, catches attention well, and even Gabriel was here, even feeling GUILT over his own decisions, and then Judas feeling the same after comitting the same sin!

aight i was expecting this to be good, but i didn’t expect it to SLAP HARDER THAN JUDAS’S THIGHS BRO
it has such a grand feel now with the bells/added synths, but the breakdowns and guitar are even more brutal and epic than before, the amen breaks are awesome, and you somehow made the motif even better than before (the violin at the end is also a nice callback to the original teaser)
probably the best fanmade ultrakill soundtrack i’ve listened to, and that’s a very high bar

There's so much I want to say and yet so little I can because I cannot express how amazingly upgraded this track is. Unironically the best of the best in the Ultrakill Fan-OST scene. Amazing job once again to you and Quad for making one of the best of the best even better than it was before. May Judas' vengeance be sweet.

While I doubt that Judas is going to be in P-3, I really would like to see this take on Treachery and P-3 as a mod in the future. It's got a really fantastic concept and the music is stellar. Love the terminal entries you've been writing up as well!

I was personally hoping P-3 would be the devil, with hell itself as his flesh prison. But given what we saw in the Minotaur’s lore entry, it’s likely to be the king that gave it to Minos and I doubt Lucifer is allowed to give presents to the people running his prison.

During the fight, maybe your coins turn silver as a cool visual and also maybe they have unique properties.
Like the coin dmg multiplier is higher with the silver coins, but 2 ricochets are always bounced off it, one bouncing towards Judas and the other towards yourself. it'll do more damage to your enemy but it'll hurt you as well unless you time your dash. Basically a simple high risk/ high reward. Just an idea though.

The headcanon for Judas really sounds nice. I imagine that Gabriel's betrayal of Judas and his people came from not his own will, but the demands of the Council. Gabriel really does want to follow the will of God, but the lore for Judas makes me think that the council was lying to him about God's wishes this whole time.
I like to think that unlike other souls, he has no resentment for heaven and instead realized the corruption of the council way before the events of the game. Thus, he attempted to dethrone the council, but as Judas was seen as a traitor, the entirety of heaven fought before him. As he had no army in attempt to come off as friendly, he was brutally murdered. However out of the pure stress and determination to atone, as well as hell energy, his prime soul came to be with unparalleled power.
That’s my headcanon, as it kind of goes in line with Judas during the crucifixion. He could also be the king of the Fraud layer due to being a fake friend of Jesus
In this context, Judas Prime makes me think of a few things about cowards of life. He was the literal definition of one in the Bible, after all.
He was too scared to live with his mistakes, but too afraid to die knowing deep down he's a treacherous disciple. But what happens when you give someone who did everything wrong, knew it, hated it, and lived and died through it to be given a second chance? I think the prime soul thing is the most insane coward's hindsight and something else, idk.
Wait no, he's on chance #3 in life as a prime soul now. That's gotta do something more than just hindsight after seeing what Gabriel and the other angels did to him.
As the saying goes, you don't know a good thing until it's gone. This man was brought into the circle of Jesus' disciples (though notice he was often listed last, as he was loved the least, while Jesus' innermost circle of friends were James, John, and Peter (Simon).) and never truly gave himself to the cause. Something something idk how to end this.

The new style for Judas is awesome, the old one felt like Judas was some ethereal being. This version shows the vibrant hatred that Judas had and the fire is just an insanely good aesthetic choice.
I think a burn mechanic would be cool. Something like Judas’ callout attacks rapidly tick with hard damage and you have to heal in order to stop it.
Love the remaster, stays true to the original and adds just enough flavor to be new.
Edit: After listening to it a second time this I love how there’s more intensity and chaos in the drums than before, this also applies to the entire song but it’s way more noticeable in the drums.
I imagine that when judas dashes he leaves trails of fire instead of just a rocky effect, limiting your movement

As primes being the final boss of Acts due to how primes usually coming out after the Gabriel encounters, I would probably expect something like Judas to be incredibly fast without having much things that you can parry and heal off of because of so. How you would heal during the fight is attacking him when his attacks have after lag since primes also are a test to see how you improve your survival time throughout the layers before you you move on to a different act. 7:26

1:10 I find it kinda cool how I like this part more than the actual made up motif for Judas, just hits hard.
He has an attack that does 75 damage and it’s just crushing your head in between his thighs. It’s got a stupidly short parry window but it stuns him for a few seconds if it lands
that would probably be hitting him in his balls so it'd do so much more than just stun him for a few seconds (enraging comes to mind)
