The Labyrinth. A giant maze meant to IMPRISON. What if Daedalus created the flesh prisons? And, while being a great service to the angels, landed him smack in the middle of Treachery for betraying the entire human race, taking their greatest warriors and idols and imprisoning them for eternal torment. I have always thought of a boss that actually forces you to fight him, that could prolly punish you into near instant death because he would parry your most overloaded techs, like imagine you spent the entire intro of the boss preparing the most unholy dead coin - saw trap, just to start the fight and the boss punches all of that into your face and heckin uninstalls you from existance, i think this would be it

I vaguely recall reading that Judas' blood had poisoned the Earth where it spilled, staining it with his sin and cursing it -leading it to be known as "The Field of Blood". Then I imagined Judas' blood dealing damage to V1 rather than healing them and that ...sounds awful. As if the Prime fights weren't hard enough.
A real challenge. You'd have to keep your distance if you didn't want to die in 2 seconds. I imagine Judas would also raise some enemies to assist in fighting you, but you could use that as an opportunity to heal.
gives me an idea for enemies, kind of like the sand enemies from Greed imagine enemies that have acidic blood.. instead of being able to heal from them.. you get damaged by being near them once damaging them

Given how much Judas regretted what he'd done, I imagine that, though he was imprisoned like the rest, he simply burst free, and you find him resting peacefully. He doesn't attack you because of your crimes, or because he wants a fight, but because he genuinely wishes to defend the kingdom of his oldest friend. It'd be even cooler if, y'know how this story bends Christian canon, he's guarding a tomb with a boulder rolled in front of it. And if you want to use coins during the fight, you have to basically spam them until he has 30, and then you can use them for a short period before he hurls the bag of coins at you.
Instead of interacting with V1's coins, imagine if he just throws his own silver coins and drop kicks them at you; trying to ricoshot them just enrages him.
Very cool track. It feels close enough to the other Prime Souls in its general layout, but has a very unique feel that separates it from Minos and Siyphus. It feels darker, yet oddly a good bit more calm. This isn't a fight against some mighty king, but against a lowly sinner. Also holy hell does this man have *hips*
Well damn, this is an utterly amazing fansong ngl. Having seen a Jesus Prime song as well, now I'm left thinking of a double-prime fight against Jesus Prime and Judas Prime, the last ember of the Father's Will and the last fragment of Mankind, working together with the sole goal of putting an end to V1s rampage, the only thing they can do to save what's left of heaven and hell.
I love this. From the idea of P-3 being Judas, to the Flesh Tesseract, to Judas' design, to the composition of this song. Everything is so magnificent!! A million props to you~!! EDIT: I had actually come up with a similar background for the third Prime soul being someone who betrayed Heaven, but instead the idea being that they were the one creating the augments for the Soldiers and Stalkers before it was revealed Hell itself was doing that, the idea being that he told the Council that it was for enforcement//security of Hell, but then used it as an army against them. I like your implementation of the idea much better, though, as it also kinda echoes the tale of Prometheus, bledning Judeo-Christan mythology with Ancient Greek much like the original Inferno. honestly i like your idea of how judas would be, but i personally think that another fairly strong arc would be his prime soul being formed out of guilt and a need for redemption instead of an anger towards the heavens, although given that judas betrayed god, the angels justifiably locked him away. he wanted to show everyone that he could redeem himself, so he waited. he knows that V1 destroyed most of hell, and as such sees it breaking judas out of the flesh tesseract as the perfect opportunity to show that he is worthy by destroying V1 on the spot
I think Eve prime would be a worthy candidate for P-3. She was tricked into betraying God (and accidentally dragging Adam into it) and punished as though she intended it. I don't think she's in hell in the divine comedy tho. I think it would be a cool idea.

(Judas lets out a satisfied sigh as he dies)" Not sure what you intended his character to be, but personally I imagine an Ultrakill Judas to be deeply remorseful and full of guilt for the death of Jesus. And following his suicide afterwards I felt it fitting that his remorse would continue into the afterlife. Unlike Minos, who's war was fought for freedom, and Sisyphus, who's war was fought to simply rebel, I imagine Judas's war was fought for vengeance against The Father for condemning Jesus to a life destined to end in sacrifice. And vengeance for using him as a pawn in it. But now he's tired and simply wishes to rest.

I want to voice it out, I'll have to do it this weekend.... If it's not too much trouble, can you write the battle lines? Something like "Disappointing!" etc.
I came up with some possible attacks for the boss. So, the first prime soul, Minos, doesn't have many attacks, but during his second phase, nearly all of his attacks become unparriable, with only ONE projectile being the parriable attack. Sisyphus gains better speed and the ability to slightly stack moves in his second phase, with the exception of having most of his attacks be parriable, even in 2nd phase. For JUDAS, I think having a balance between the other two Prime Soul fights would be the perfect base for his moveset. Many attacks that become unparriable by his 2nd phase. Also, another noteworthy Prime Soul pattern is the timing of their voicelines. Minos says his voice lines BEFORE he does an attack, Sisyphus says HIS lines DURING the attack, so Judas would say his lines AFTER he attacks. And, of course...being P-3, I'm gonna have to go *_ALL. OUT._* For these attacks, I'm gonna use the quotes from @azzyasbourne9107 with the exception of one of my own lines. *"Obliterate!"* Judas will send a horizontal firey slash where V1 is, following 3 explosions to where the slash was 1 second after. Think of it as his version of "DESTROY" or "JUDGEMENT." Can be parried normally, as Judas will dash into your position and have a small yellow spark, do the attack, and say _OBLITERATE_ when the explosions go off. At phase two, this attack multiplies the explosions 2x, as well as making the attack unparriable. _Each attack directly does 35 damage, with 25 damage explosions._ *"Suffer!"* Judas will charge up in a running stance for a quick second, then appear above V1, striking his flame hand into the ground(which also causes a ground shockwave), spin around to deliver a spin kick with his flame leg, detatch his flame arm from the ground to deliver one final firey explosion(with a shockwave) into the ground, but then he will say his line, causing flames to envelop in a medium-sized circle of magenta fire around Judas for a split second, which can REALLY mess with a player if they go in to get some blood off of Judas, as even if they're DIRECTLY IN HIS FACE, the fire will scorch them. The kick in the middle of the combo is parriable, and can even cancel out the final part of the combo if parried. On phase two, these attacks become slightly faster, and the kick is still parriable, however, the rest of his combo ISN'T cancelled. Similar to how "Judgement" is parriable on higher difficulties, but the explosion of the drop-kick still occurs even IF it's parried. _The initial slash does 35 damage, but the explosions do 25._ *"Fall!"* Judas appears above V1, making a loud chargeup sound before dropping down at a moderately slow pace, but then suddenly appearing on the predicted side of V1, kicking them away with his flame leg(causing a sideways shockwave) before Judas goes into the predicted pathway of V1 to deliver a massive explosion of lingering fire, similar to Sisyphus Prime's "DESTROY" and "THIS WILL HURT" attacks. The first kick is parriable, but the other attacks will follow. _The kick does 30 damage, but the following explosion does 65 damage._ *"You will be erased!"* Judas winds up his flame limbs before blasting a fireball from a distance and appearing in the predicted pathway of V1, swiftly trying to combo V1 with an uppercut flip-kick, following Judas appearing above V1 to explode him into a magenta inferno of raining fire before slashing downwards with his flamed arm into the ground(causing a shockwave and fire) and attempting to roundhouse V1, causing a sideways shockwave from the air force. Judas will say the voiceline before the area around Judas will errupt in flaming legs(similar to his own) pointing upwards and exploding into small explosions 2 seconds after a windup. The entire combo until the windup can't be parried. The windup is parriable, similar to Sisyphus' "THIS WILL HURT" move. On Phase 2, you can still parry the attack, but the leg explosions will still happen anyways. _The fireball does 30 damage(not homing, but cannot be parried), uppercut does 35, mid-air explosion does 50, downwards slash does 25, and the roundhouse does 35, following small 25 damage leg explosions CONSTANTLY._ *"Turn to nothing!"* Judas will stand completely still, laughing and cracking his knuckles before stomping on the floor, generating a magenta fire circle around him in a slightly bigger radius than Sisyphus' "THIS WILL HURT" attack. Judas will teleport behind V1 and backhand V1 to create enough knockback to send V1 into the flaming circle, saying the voiceline as he backhands you. In Phase 2, the fire becomes much more dense, even causing a massive explosion if V1 touches the fire. The backhand can always be parried easily, but when you do, it causes Judas to become *PISSED OFF,* becoming +ENRAGED and making Judas use 2 attacks side by side with little to no duration between them before calming down. Very short anger time. _The backhand, when connected, does a whopping 40 damage. The fire circle, when touched, only does about 35, but in Phase 2, the explosion of the fire does 60, resulting IN AN INSTA-KILL if you don't parry or evade._ *"Repent!"* In Phase 1, Judas simply appears in the air above V1, charges a fireball, and hurls it at V1, similar to Minos Prime's Serpent projectiles, but the fireball does not home on V1. In PHASE 2, it gets revamped completely. In Phase 2, Judas will LITERALLY RUN UP TO YOU, not DASH, but straight up SPRINT TOWARD YOU PAYDAY 2 CLOAKER STYLE, set the ground around you on fire by jumping and punching the floor, and simply hurl 3 fast-paced fireballs before saying the voice line and charging up one singular fireball that's much more massive than the other 3 smaller ones. When connected, the fireball will errupt into a MASSIVE explosion, even making a shockwave on the floor if it misses V1 with lingering small fire on the ground. When the massive fireball hits either a surface or V1, 3 other fireballs that errupt from the bigger one and explode in small bursts around the area slowly. The Phase 1 fireball can be easily parried back to not only DAMAGE Judas, but to stun him as well. In Phase 2, Judas' 3 first fireballs are unparriable, but the final one IS with EVEN MORE STUN if connected to Judas. _The fireball does 35 damage, if Judas punches you instead of the floor, it does 40 damage(because you literally TRIED to get hit bruh), fast paces fireballs do 25 damage with the massive fireballl doing a whopping 50 damage. The rest of the explosions do a small 15 damage with fire._ *"Insolent!"* Judas won't just have a simple aura or color change like the other bosses, *no...* This man has a straight up _DBZ TRANSFORMATION,_ laughing at V1 before exploding into a singular pillar of magenta glowing fire, jumping out of the fire to reveal that ALL 4 OF HIS LIMBS(and the tips of his horns) ARE ALL FLAMING! Judas gets to use whatever moves WHENEVER with the typical stamina that the other Prime Soul bosses have, but he could SPAM AN ATTACK if he wanted to. A good example of what I mean by this is: What if Minos Prime just KEPT USING JUDGEMENT over and over again, no other attacks? Judas still has a cooldown, but he could repeat an attack. Also, the firey pillar straight up demolishes V1 if you are in his face, doing a *whopping 75 damage.* And, because Hakita likes to troll, if you're in his face during his death scene, he gives you one final gift, causing a firey explosion upon his death, doing only 30 damage, but, the funny part is, you CAN parry this, but it has no yellow light to signal the parry. If parried, Judas just stares at you blankly and sighs before doing the traditional Prime Soul death.
yknow, with this whole thing being centered around Judas, i kinda imagined it being buried underneath a battered and frozen Noah's Arc, where the inside is scorched due to Judas's scorching sin being comparable to the flames of hell itself
I think it would be awesome if there was a Prime Prime Sanctum, only accessible by P-ranking the other Prime Sanctums. That would awesome as a final challenge beyond all of the bosses up to that point

To me Judas would be a lot more regretful and not wanting to die, Minos and Sisyphus were kings and were remembered fondly by there followers, Judas is just a man who is remember as the one who betrayed Jesus, hated by all even himself. The music along with the artwork makes me feel like Judas Prime's fightning style would be more acrobatic and nimble compared to Minos' and Sisyphus', perhaps being able to dodge attacks like Streetcleaners do.
I feel like Judas Prime would be a very experienced prime soul and wasnt immediately sealed by HEAVEN unlike Minos and Sisyphus that was sealed inside their own prison just as they became a Prime Soul, Judas Prime would have probably rampaged in Heaven for a little while and was able to hone his skills a little bit before being finally sealed
Judas is a great idea for an ultra kill boss and the design as well as the music are beautifully crafted great job. But why is he packing an entire bakery back there.

Interesting how the theme of each of the Primes seem to get more personal the further you go when you include this one: Order - Minos was punished for trying to do his people better as their ruler War - Sisyphus was punished for trying to do the people better as a leader Betrayal - Judas was punished for trying to do the people better as one of them . . . So what would be next - someone trying to do the best for all peoples, just cause? Prime of Primes?

i am in awe at the excellent writing of his lore, his design and of course this soundtrack. This concept is something I really hope Hakita brings to fruition as the final Prime boss of the game, I've been thinking about it for a while and just imagining Judas using the silver coins that he was paid in to betray Jesus to fight against V1 is such a contrary to the golden coins at the machine's disposal. YOOO THIS TRACK IS 🗣🔥🔥🔥 I personaly don't think it would be Judas tho, because, well, the prime soul is basically a strong willpowered guy, and Judas isn't a strong willpowered guy, rather really weak guy. But yeah, badass track, bro
One Prime soul that I think would be cool (but hardly will appear) is Caiaphas Prime, the man who ordered the crucifixion of Jesus. His prison of flesh would have the shape of a cross, so that he would suffer the same as he caused to the Savior (Jesus). (Since, he appears in the Divine Comedy crucified on the ground).
The only critique I have for this piece is that the calmer part at the opening should be extended a bit to match the length of the boss's monologue. Both Minos and Sisyphus's themes did that, so it would make since to keep it consistent with Judas' theme. Apart from that, this is a beautiful take on the traditional Ultrakill Prime Sanctum theme; excellent work.
I sincerely hope the mod community goes to town with this game upon full release. I would LOVE to see some fanmade boss fights featuring these Prime bosses and the music everyone's come up with. I cannot overstate just how well this fits with the current theme of Ultrakill, but the heavy guitar use definitely makes the track feel as if this truly is a Prime Soul in his own league.

He doesn't attack you because of your crimes, or because he wants a fight, but because he genuinely wishes to defend the kingdom of his oldest friend.
It'd be even cooler if, y'know how this story bends Christian canon, he's guarding a tomb with a boulder rolled in front of it.
And if you want to use coins during the fight, you have to basically spam them until he has 30, and then you can use them for a short period before he hurls the bag of coins at you.

EDIT: I had actually come up with a similar background for the third Prime soul being someone who betrayed Heaven, but instead the idea being that they were the one creating the augments for the Soldiers and Stalkers before it was revealed Hell itself was doing that, the idea being that he told the Council that it was for enforcement//security of Hell, but then used it as an army against them.
I like your implementation of the idea much better, though, as it also kinda echoes the tale of Prometheus, bledning Judeo-Christan mythology with Ancient Greek much like the original Inferno.

honestly i like your idea of how judas would be, but i personally think that another fairly strong arc would be his prime soul being formed out of guilt and a need for redemption instead of an anger towards the heavens, although given that judas betrayed god, the angels justifiably locked him away. he wanted to show everyone that he could redeem himself, so he waited.
he knows that V1 destroyed most of hell, and as such sees it breaking judas out of the flesh tesseract as the perfect opportunity to show that he is worthy by destroying V1 on the spot

Not sure what you intended his character to be, but personally I imagine an Ultrakill Judas to be deeply remorseful and full of guilt for the death of Jesus. And following his suicide afterwards I felt it fitting that his remorse would continue into the afterlife. Unlike Minos, who's war was fought for freedom, and Sisyphus, who's war was fought to simply rebel, I imagine Judas's war was fought for vengeance against The Father for condemning Jesus to a life destined to end in sacrifice. And vengeance for using him as a pawn in it. But now he's tired and simply wishes to rest.

I came up with some possible attacks for the boss.
So, the first prime soul, Minos, doesn't have many attacks, but during his second phase, nearly all of his attacks become unparriable, with only ONE projectile being the parriable attack.
Sisyphus gains better speed and the ability to slightly stack moves in his second phase, with the exception of having most of his attacks be parriable, even in 2nd phase.
For JUDAS, I think having a balance between the other two Prime Soul fights would be the perfect base for his moveset. Many attacks that become unparriable by his 2nd phase.
Also, another noteworthy Prime Soul pattern is the timing of their voicelines. Minos says his voice lines BEFORE he does an attack, Sisyphus says HIS lines DURING the attack, so Judas would say his lines AFTER he attacks.

For these attacks, I'm gonna use the quotes from @azzyasbourne9107 with the exception of one of my own lines.
*"Obliterate!"* Judas will send a horizontal firey slash where V1 is, following 3 explosions to where the slash was 1 second after. Think of it as his version of "DESTROY" or "JUDGEMENT." Can be parried normally, as Judas will dash into your position and have a small yellow spark, do the attack, and say _OBLITERATE_ when the explosions go off.
At phase two, this attack multiplies the explosions 2x, as well as making the attack unparriable.
_Each attack directly does 35 damage, with 25 damage explosions._
*"Suffer!"* Judas will charge up in a running stance for a quick second, then appear above V1, striking his flame hand into the ground(which also causes a ground shockwave), spin around to deliver a spin kick with his flame leg, detatch his flame arm from the ground to deliver one final firey explosion(with a shockwave) into the ground, but then he will say his line, causing flames to envelop in a medium-sized circle of magenta fire around Judas for a split second, which can REALLY mess with a player if they go in to get some blood off of Judas, as even if they're DIRECTLY IN HIS FACE, the fire will scorch them. The kick in the middle of the combo is parriable, and can even cancel out the final part of the combo if parried.
On phase two, these attacks become slightly faster, and the kick is still parriable, however, the rest of his combo ISN'T cancelled. Similar to how "Judgement" is parriable on higher difficulties, but the explosion of the drop-kick still occurs even IF it's parried.
_The initial slash does 35 damage, but the explosions do 25._
*"Fall!"* Judas appears above V1, making a loud chargeup sound before dropping down at a moderately slow pace, but then suddenly appearing on the predicted side of V1, kicking them away with his flame leg(causing a sideways shockwave) before Judas goes into the predicted pathway of V1 to deliver a massive explosion of lingering fire, similar to Sisyphus Prime's "DESTROY" and "THIS WILL HURT" attacks.
The first kick is parriable, but the other attacks will follow.
_The kick does 30 damage, but the following explosion does 65 damage._
*"You will be erased!"* Judas winds up his flame limbs before blasting a fireball from a distance and appearing in the predicted pathway of V1, swiftly trying to combo V1 with an uppercut flip-kick, following Judas appearing above V1 to explode him into a magenta inferno of raining fire before slashing downwards with his flamed arm into the ground(causing a shockwave and fire) and attempting to roundhouse V1, causing a sideways shockwave from the air force.
Judas will say the voiceline before the area around Judas will errupt in flaming legs(similar to his own) pointing upwards and exploding into small explosions 2 seconds after a windup.
The entire combo until the windup can't be parried. The windup is parriable, similar to Sisyphus' "THIS WILL HURT" move.
On Phase 2, you can still parry the attack, but the leg explosions will still happen anyways.
_The fireball does 30 damage(not homing, but cannot be parried), uppercut does 35, mid-air explosion does 50, downwards slash does 25, and the roundhouse does 35, following small 25 damage leg explosions CONSTANTLY._
*"Turn to nothing!"* Judas will stand completely still, laughing and cracking his knuckles before stomping on the floor, generating a magenta fire circle around him in a slightly bigger radius than Sisyphus' "THIS WILL HURT" attack. Judas will teleport behind V1 and backhand V1 to create enough knockback to send V1 into the flaming circle, saying the voiceline as he backhands you. In Phase 2, the fire becomes much more dense, even causing a massive explosion if V1 touches the fire.
The backhand can always be parried easily, but when you do, it causes Judas to become *PISSED OFF,* becoming +ENRAGED and making Judas use 2 attacks side by side with little to no duration between them before calming down. Very short anger time.
_The backhand, when connected, does a whopping 40 damage. The fire circle, when touched, only does about 35, but in Phase 2, the explosion of the fire does 60, resulting IN AN INSTA-KILL if you don't parry or evade._
*"Repent!"* In Phase 1, Judas simply appears in the air above V1, charges a fireball, and hurls it at V1, similar to Minos Prime's Serpent projectiles, but the fireball does not home on V1.
In PHASE 2, it gets revamped completely.
In Phase 2, Judas will LITERALLY RUN UP TO YOU, not DASH, but straight up SPRINT TOWARD YOU PAYDAY 2 CLOAKER STYLE, set the ground around you on fire by jumping and punching the floor, and simply hurl 3 fast-paced fireballs before saying the voice line and charging up one singular fireball that's much more massive than the other 3 smaller ones. When connected, the fireball will errupt into a MASSIVE explosion, even making a shockwave on the floor if it misses V1 with lingering small fire on the ground. When the massive fireball hits either a surface or V1, 3 other fireballs that errupt from the bigger one and explode in small bursts around the area slowly.
The Phase 1 fireball can be easily parried back to not only DAMAGE Judas, but to stun him as well. In Phase 2, Judas' 3 first fireballs are unparriable, but the final one IS with EVEN MORE STUN if connected to Judas.
_The fireball does 35 damage, if Judas punches you instead of the floor, it does 40 damage(because you literally TRIED to get hit bruh), fast paces fireballs do 25 damage with the massive fireballl doing a whopping 50 damage. The rest of the explosions do a small 15 damage with fire._
*"Insolent!"* Judas won't just have a simple aura or color change like the other bosses, *no...*
This man has a straight up _DBZ TRANSFORMATION,_ laughing at V1 before exploding into a singular pillar of magenta glowing fire, jumping out of the fire to reveal that ALL 4 OF HIS LIMBS(and the tips of his horns) ARE ALL FLAMING!
Judas gets to use whatever moves WHENEVER with the typical stamina that the other Prime Soul bosses have, but he could SPAM AN ATTACK if he wanted to.
A good example of what I mean by this is: What if Minos Prime just KEPT USING JUDGEMENT over and over again, no other attacks?
Judas still has a cooldown, but he could repeat an attack.
Also, the firey pillar straight up demolishes V1 if you are in his face, doing a *whopping 75 damage.*
And, because Hakita likes to troll, if you're in his face during his death scene, he gives you one final gift, causing a firey explosion upon his death, doing only 30 damage, but, the funny part is, you CAN parry this, but it has no yellow light to signal the parry.
If parried, Judas just stares at you blankly and sighs before doing the traditional Prime Soul death.

i am in awe at the excellent writing of his lore, his design and of course this soundtrack. This concept is something I really hope Hakita brings to fruition as the final Prime boss of the game, I've been thinking about it for a while and just imagining Judas using the silver coins that he was paid in to betray Jesus to fight against V1 is such a contrary to the golden coins at the machine's disposal.

One Prime soul that I think would be cool (but hardly will appear) is Caiaphas Prime, the man who ordered the crucifixion of Jesus. His prison of flesh would have the shape of a cross, so that he would suffer the same as he caused to the Savior (Jesus). (Since, he appears in the Divine Comedy crucified on the ground).

The only critique I have for this piece is that the calmer part at the opening should be extended a bit to match the length of the boss's monologue. Both Minos and Sisyphus's themes did that, so it would make since to keep it consistent with Judas' theme. Apart from that, this is a beautiful take on the traditional Ultrakill Prime Sanctum theme; excellent work.

I sincerely hope the mod community goes to town with this game upon full release. I would LOVE to see some fanmade boss fights featuring these Prime bosses and the music everyone's come up with. I cannot overstate just how well this fits with the current theme of Ultrakill, but the heavy guitar use definitely makes the track feel as if this truly is a Prime Soul in his own league.
