Here's the ultimate tour of my 2003 Honda Element. I've spent the last 7 years of my life tinkering and adding things to this project of mine and it's all summed up into this one video. I hope you enjoy what i've done and appreciate if you give me a big thumbs up if you do!
We owned an Element for 15 years and just recently sold it. It was the most utilitarian vehicle I've ever owned, and I loved it more than I ever thought I would. It was my wife's car and she needed something more modern for her job, so we got a new Honda CRV Hybrid. I'm a bit sad we parted with our Element. It's almost like a small truck with the convenience of a car. This coming from a guy that drives a GMC truck as my primary vehicle. I can't give the Element enough praise, it was just a great little SUV.
It sounds like you had an incredible journey with your Element! It's amazing how a vehicle can become such an integral part of our lives. While transitioning to a new car can be bittersweet, it's also an opportunity to embrace new experiences. The CRV Hybrid sounds like a fantastic choice too, blending modernity with Honda's renowned reliability. Here's to many more adventures, whether in the Element's memory or with your new ride!
Love to see mods on people's vehicles...talks a lot about pride of ownership and enthusiasm for you car... you basically make it your own. Excellent mods... I love that everything has not only aesthetic but real-world function. Love your BOX... excellent video!
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that you appreciate the effort and passion that goes into modding vehicles. Making modifications isn't just about personalizing the car; it's also about enhancing its functionality and performance. Glad you enjoyed the video showcasing the BOX!
Very interesting build. Unique for sure, and I dig it. I have a 04 Element myself, and been trying to add stuff to it to make it more versatile for my daily needs. How's the engine been for you with all that stuff added?
Thanks! That's exactly my goal... adding things to make life just easier with the Box. Engine has been solid. My mods really aren't that crazy to have any effects on it.
I had a black 2003 Element until 2 years ago. I miss it it has the best turning radius of any car I've owned. It started burning oil and I couldn't keep quality oil in it. The timing chain finally went. I didn't want to spend the money on it with nearly 300,000 miles. Honda was going to bring it back with little changes - mainly a higher quality interior. Same engine. Same poor MPG, but I would have still bought it. I think they fixed it due to changes after covid.
You put a lot more stuff on than I would, but you sure have some great mods. I think that the first thing that I’ll do when I get mine is to install the chain so that the tail gate can be opened from inside. I really like the work lights to illuminate the tail gate like a work bench. Be great for cooking after dark too!
Брат!как же прекрасно тут все,и автомобиль и картинка и твой жизненный стиль!я очень мечтаю о такой машине,но в нашей стране ее купить очень сложно!спасибо за видео🎉
Is that your original front bumper? If so, why didn’t you use the forever black on the rest of your panels? Bro can you do a tutorial on that solar trickle charger? That would be awesome!
Yup that’s my original front bumper. It was starting to fade faster than the rest of the plastic grey trim so I used forever black to test with just the front bumper. Just been still testing for 3 years now. 😅 but yes forever black works! Once I have time I’ll do the rest. Yup I have the footage for the solar charger. Stay tuned.
Amazing mods! The E looks great how have the raptor style lights held up? Are they easy to wire, im looking to add some but dont know how to wire them.
Great cars, got one so i didnt have to take my diesel on short trips to the store, it ended up being so useful i only drove my duramax to nice dinners with the wife, or to pull a trailer. It was a real beater though so im looking for a nicer one to hold on to
Love the setup! What lights did you use for the dome lights to get them so bright? I’m not seeing it in your list of links. That’s my biggest gripe with the Element is I can never find anything at night!
Replacing the alternator and starter in the element must be a normal thing to do now, I had to replace them in my 2005 and I know many others that had to do the same.
@@lifewithabox I really love your videos. I'm going to purchase those LED eyebrows you have on your headlights, I'll be sure to post a video when I install it
Thanks sorry missed this. You'll have to pull apart one for rear light assembly and look for the individual wires for the reverse / brake lights and splice those in. Will need some trial and error to find the correct wires.
What’s the name of the short basket that you put between your Thule rack? I think you said it was Yakima but was there a product name for it? Thanks in advance! 1:50
I love some of the mods in this video. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that pretty much 100% of the video was about lights and I think it was a bit overkill. I feel like the average person does not need that many lights.
Thanks appreciate it. I agree with the overkill of lights. haha. It's useful when I do outdoor activities. I figured it was better than spending it on performance mods which wouldn't really do much overall.. it's a toaster on wheels.
Awesome build! So much time and thought put into your E! I have a 07 EX that I'm restoring and going to start working on my suspension and tires. I would like a little wider tire for example 225 and I do like how the 235 looks on your vehicle. How is it ride and also does it impact MPG good or bad?
❤ Nice Job @lifewithabox! Hey, I don’t recall you mentioning the camera or ?? Go pro… or monitor inside the cab above your dash, in the center upper area near your windshield, behind /below your rear view mirror… What is that? Again, nice mods, thanks so much for sharing! 👍🏼 🚗 🚗 🚗
Thanks! Hope I was able to offer you some inspiration for your own mods! I used Plastidip spray paint but if you know black is the look you are set on then just get a can of matte black spray paint which would be more durable in the long run. Hope this helps!
i seriously am considering getting one of these. but i think im going to buy a mk7.5 golf R instead but i would love to have this as a 3rd or 4th vehicle

You have the most interesting Element I have seen by far, so many features. Every nook and cranny seems have been appropriated.😊
Thank you! It only took me 7 years to complete. =)

Sweet build man. Very unique and functional too!
Thanks I appreciate it!
Can't wait for the projector headlights retro fit video.
Stay tuned!
Love the work you did
Thank you!
dope set up bro.for a 2003 element....very nice..
Thanks!
I like the wheel choice on this car, im not a fan of these elements that much but that wheel setup on there brings it a bit more life.
Looks good man
Thanks! You are right.. The moment I first changed the wheel on this element i realized I had some potential with this project.
Way to many lights 😂 I'd hate to get high beamed by you on the road!
Nice build man ! I loved my Old Honda Element before a deer 🦌 ran out in front of Me.
i think, element is very unique car!
Dude you Always Always have the best looking E 😎
Your car is a piece of art, I hope one day I can have something like that.
This thing is sick!!!! I’m gonna get one of these one day!!

I like the roof basket between the bars.
Yes! Game changer. Also helps with gas mileage. Any bit helps!

This looks dope!! What type of alternator did you purchase to power all those extra electrics?
I just go with the trusty Denso
Awesome! Thank you for sharing
You took this do serious and seemed to have fun with the self customization. VERY COOL man. Elements are incredible.
Thanks! Passion can be a powerful motivator.
This is the inspector gadget car I have never seen a vehicle with so many switches buttons and dash cams 🤣🤣 wheres the ejector seat button
Good video very informative

Thanks for the support!
I just got a new Bronco but you’re making me want one of these lol
Congrats on the Bronco! I have so many mod ideas if i get one of those as well. haha
Can I ask where you got those gauge bezel rings????
They actually came with my Element when I got it. I realized after that everyone else did not have the same one! Maybe someone else here will know?
Amazing mods! The E looks great how have the raptor style lights held up? Are they easy to wire, im looking to add some but dont know how to wire them.

Loved that you also posted all the parts you added
Yea! I know people will ask so just saving myself some headache. Haha. Let me know if I missed any parts….!

A lot of cool ideas here but, is there anything left at Autozone? LOL JK :)

Awesome "E" man!!! How did you wire the LED strip to get the Reverse/Brake Light integration?

I have been looking for it as well, and cannot find it. I have older Yakima round bars and want a basket to drop in between them.
I like them wheels
Зачетная хонда, теперь есть мысль как покрасить пластик )
Thank you for the video! The Element is looking great! Any future mods you would like to do?
It's been non-stop thinking for the past 7 years of what else I could add... i don't think i'll ever stop. Stay Tuned! Any suggestions??
@@lifewithabox The only suggestion I have is Hiro’s Swivel Seats. Besides that it looks you have everything that an Element owner would want!
@@bearingtheelements4063 I have been eyeing those. 😅
Wish I could get one of these in the UK

Beautiful element ! What’s the size for the raptor lights ?
I went with 18mm Cree led eagle eye 12v amber bulbs. I’ll have a separate video of this install hopefully soon.
i seriously am considering getting one of these. but i think im going to buy a mk7.5 golf R instead but i would love to have this as a 3rd or 4th vehicle
The R would be a great daily driver. My Element is actually my 3rd vehicle which is my project car. Highly recommend it!
id love a honda element dude up the hill has one i want to buy it every time i drive by@@lifewithabox
Do you work for the Leafs? Noticed the same kind of sticker in the same place I have in my Element for the sports team I work for haha
haha my friend gave me that sticker. I i wish i worked for the leafs!
That air deflector keeps rock chips from hitting the front edge of your hood a chipping your paint.
Ah then yes it does do its job. =)
Nice tour! Are the side mirror stick ons 3x3 or 2x2?
Thanks! They are 3x3
What's the rim width?
Nice build!
What light strips did you get for the headlight ? Do you have a tutural on how you installed them ?
Could you link me to the headlight mod with the LED strips ?
Front plastic was painted?
Black Trim Restore

are those OEM side boards? or aftermarket ones? brand and model?
OEM side boards! But like i said in the video, not sure why mine sticks out more than others.
I sold Element due to gas mileage issue. Crv is better mpg so I sold mine.
I agree. The box shape isn’t so great on gas but the element has its own advantages. I’ve seen some pretty awesome Crvs out there as well.
What struts you running
Holy crap dude
What’s the mileage?
I think you need more lights..
The wheels don't hit the fenders/panels?
