First Start - 2024 Yamaha YZ125 with FMF Factory Fatty, VHM Cylinder Head, JD Jetting = Awesome!

- This is the very first start up of a brand new, and newly build, Yamaha YZ125 with Factory Fatty Exhaust, VHM Cylinder Head with SX (high compression) insert/dome and full JD Jetting kit (custom taper JD needle jet, leaner pilot jet, richer main jet).
Sounds great, runs perfect and is ready to rip! Such a great 2-stroke build. This bike is going to be so much fun to ride!

Hey man are the 2 red wires coming from the solenoid connected to the plug that plugs in next to the tps? Or are they just sitting in the shrink wrap? I just noticed my wires aren’t plugged in and could be my problem. If they are plugged in can you let me know which goes to the black and red. Thank you.
They are connected. I could not really see the connection in detail, but the owners manual should have the electrical schematic for this. But yes, connected. Hope that helps.

Did you stick with the jetting specs jd recommended? I pretty much have the same set up as you minus the head. 22 yz 125
Yes I went with exact JD jetting specs. Runs perfect.
@@GOATbro_Australia damn ok...that significant drop in the pilot to a 50 just scares me. But I've read many forums and that's seems like were everyone is agreeing on
@@anthonyjames5210I just got the kit in yesterday for my kids 2023. I called jd and they told me if you buy it directly from them and you don’t like it you can send it back no questions. A little more for shipping but worth it for no hassle return.

@@anthonyjames5210 installed it yesterday. 50 pilot is too small too lean for me. And it didn’t clean up the flat spot. Called them and they said to put a 175 main which doesn’t come with the kit, and mix it 40:1. Put the red needle where they told me at 40:1 and it was worse🤷🏼♂️. I don’t understand what’s wrong but maybe it’s my carb.
