      Those scammers are crazy! I broke a guy down and he was from Nigeria. At first in Broken English he was saying he was a widow from South Carolina that had to pay for kids to go to school. I told him that his English was Broken and that here in America that lower income students don't have to pay expensive fees so he knew he was caught. Then I gave him one more chance to tell truth and he admitted that he was from Nigeria and poor so he had to scam. I did feel bad however that is not the way to do it. There are so many of them working multiple schemes from across the world. Social media needs to find a way to control or limit them. They only need a .5% success rate to benefit largely for how much they try

      Im glad you dont waste that part. 99% of channels do and I like to grill or chop it and fry it. That meat by the bones is the most flavor of the whole fish and the trash or fish end up getting it all the time. On huge fish it drives me crazy cause I want it. Lol

      the reguations are complicated. I would suggest getting the fish rules app. Just checked and state reg for blue line and the bag limit is 3 fish, aggregate limit 3 fish. I think this would be per angler. Pretty sure golden counts to your aggregate and for now the bag limit is 1 fish for state waters. I think these fish will be caught beyond sate waters and federal regulations are not clear so would like to hear what Aaron says

I was thinking that a few weeks back when you were fishing the mangroves in the little boat and left the house from the channel. i love your vids Aaron! I have a question that's been bugging me: Why not wash filets off with fresh water?
    I've been a professional charter and headboat skipper in the past making my living on my ticket just like you - and I've worked deck and fileted thousands upon thousands of fish ... Granted when fileting at sea we always rinsed off with fresh sea water but when back at the dock the hose is the cleanest water around - marina water has who knows what else is in it.
    Why not rinse the gurry and scales and slime off the filets with the fresh water? I just cant imagine a quick spritz would denature the fish that much other than maybe heating it up from ice cold to room temp in a hurry.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      honestly just a habit, is it gonna destroy the fish no, but it does start to break it down a little in my findings. I always have access to saltwater so its never an issue for me. plenty of people rinse with fresh water all around though!

    • @terrywalker4790
      @terrywalker4790 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For 40 yrs i washed with fresh water but for the last 5 switched to saltwater and I think it better preserves the fish, especially if you freeze it when it thaws it is not as mushy in my opinion

    Peal asparagus, blanch for 1 - 1.5 mins, soak in ice water, pat dry, light olive oil, then grill with seasoning two to three minutes while turning them. Give that a shot see if you taste a difference.

      I have two, and ill be honest just because it works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you, if you have facial hair you need to trim it down with a razor. and try mask on in person dont buy online! I use a scuba pro solo for casual diving, go mask panorama when filming
